King's Island Addict

Last year during Halloween Haunt, I payed the renewal price for the 2010 season because it was only 69.99. I have never just "updated" my pass and was wondering if I have to go through processing and get my picture retaken or if my old pass will still work this year.

We start at 7:30, first period

The cicadas are horrible back by White Water Canyon, every three seconds there was a very loud simultaneous buzzing. That was the worst i saw them yesterday, wasn't too bad at water park.

Oops, double post

I rode it today. When we came to the park the sign said it was closed, but we went to ride The Beast at about 11:30 and it was open. I love the new program, it was way more intense, but the opening alien thing was really cheesy.

Another cast. On the web site theres a chart that shows requirements for each ride and one subject is "braced arm cast", i'm not too sure what that is, i tried to google it, but i got nothing. Is it just something that keeps the entire arm from moving, or what?

That sounds like something me or one of my friends would say, but sadly, it wasn't

I ended up going, from around 3 to 8. I had no problems, i mostly forgot it was there. I rode Adventure Express, Vortex, The Beast twice, Invertigo, Backlot Stunt Coaster, racers twice, and Flight of Fear without any problems.

They don't restrict due to casts, as long as their not full legnth. The only rides restricted are Delirium, Drop Tower, and The Crypt

yea i've been really careful, and i know that i can control it enough, i was plan on keeping it by my side the entire time.

I finally found the safety guide on the site, and as long as you can fit in in the car and it isn't harm to others, they are allowed. That quote was taken from the Worlds of Fun website and a similar one can be found on the Cedar Point site, I imagine there will be chain wide consistency this year, unfortunately no particular information is available on Kings Islands website yet. I think you'd be fine with the case so long as its not a full arm cast, but always ask your doctor first, you don't want to end up being in the cast any longer than you have to. It only goes halfway up my forearm, and its not that big, so it should be fine

The doctor said its more cracked in the growth plate, but it still needed some type of support. He never gave me any types of restrictions, so I have no clue what to avoid

I know that this isn't being discussed... I broke my wrist about two weeks ago, and its in a cast until May 5th. I wanted to know if there will be any complications at the park, like the rides i could ride and if it will do more damage to my wrist. I still have control over my fingers, and its not too badly broken, but enough for the need of support from a cast.

I've been going over it and I am still uncertain on which one I will start off. I'm leaning towards The Beast, as is the friend I will be riding with, but Face/Off(refuse to call it anything else) is usually my "starter" ride. Hmm... What do you think you will end up riding first?

I don't know if this has been asked, but does anybody know the perks of gold passes this season? i searched he forums a bit, and looked on the website, but all i could find is the "free parking, early ride times, and MORE"

Today, my sister, her roommate and I, all decided to spend the day at Kings Island before they had to go back to Mississippi. We first got there between 10:30 and 11. We went to Top Gun so my sister could get "warmed up" and, of course, it was a walk on. Next, we waited about 30 minutes for face/off. I loved to watch my sister's face as she screamed throughout the whole ride. We took a quick ride on AE just because it was there. We went from there straight to Flight of Fear. I sat with Kirsten, my sisters roommate in the front seat. That was a fun ride, as always. Next, my sister wanted to ride Italian Job. So we got first car seats. After we finished that, we rode The Beast. Great ride. We went to FX so they could take a quick rest. We then walked right onto The Vortex, because everbody loves that ride. That was Kirsten's favortie. We wanted to ride Delerium, but after five minutes, there was thunder so we had to go somewhere else. We chose scooby doo. We waited a while and once we got into the secret passage, it closed down, The torm had gotten so much worse. The wind was storn, blowing wind inside. We got hit by a few drops, while still waiting. The floor had flooded. We had to make a run. We took off our shoes and sprinted to the front. Then jumped through the pools of water. Till we reached the car. It was 230. Short day. But it was fun, and they got to ride everything they wanted. So, overall, i had fun.

Something I will always remember about The Beast. I hadn't been to Kings Island in two years, and didn't remember much of anything, and when i rode it, going into the first tunnel on the helix, where the left side gets really close to the wall, my friend told me. "Don't stick your arm out, it will eat it." It was just so funny, and now everytime i ride it, i think of that.

Oh, okay, that was just the first time it had happened to me.

Yesterday, i took one of my friends to King's Island. At first, when we wanted to ride it, Tomb Raider was closed, and when we eventually got on it, it was dissapointing. There was no music/sound. Its not not as fun without the sound effects and music as your flipping around. Does anybody know a reason why there wouldn't be sound, because when we were boarding and exiting, there was the normal music, but not during, if anybody else went, was it mabye just on that particular cycle, or was it like that everytime?

You probally got stopped there on Adventure Express because tehy have you wait there if there is alredy a train waiting to go in, so there might have been a problem at the loading station.

The Best is a great ride, and I've only walked on once. I've only walked on mabye 1 or 2 times Really? I've only had to wait longer than mabye 5 minutes once... I'm not saying it isn't a fun ride though This year my friend and I rode Delerium and walked to, and rode, Spongebob 3D, while waiting for the parents to get off Top Gun, they called once we got out and the had just gotten off, and that was after about and hour and a half!

You probally won't be able to get to Firehawk before lines are long. Atleast when i was there, everybody raced straight to it and the morning was when the line was longest, i waited till after it got a little shorter.

I just wanted to know if any of you guys knew how busy the park is today. I might be going later around five and i just wanted to know if i should expect long waits or not.
