  1. I have only been there once this season (so far) the ice cream is still creamy and yummy.....and I don't like ice cream that much. I love KI's though. Sorry, I guess that doesn't really answer your question. I don't eat pizza, dippin dots, hambugers......OK I don't eat meat or cheese so I have to find hot pretzels or ice cream. The Diet Coke and Lemonade are good too, but a bit pricey.
  2. Dear Ryan, Is this kind of a tribute to his late father? Did Evil Knivel jump in 75 or 76 or am I anywhere NEAR close? I think it's really cool and I hope I can make it. Take care, Odette. P.S If you posted any of the questions I just asked already, I am sorry for asking again. My PC has been a bit kooky lately and I don't get to jump on to KICentral as much as I would like. Thanks.
  3. I sense some sarcasm... which is well deserved. X is by far the most painful coaster I've ever been on. Makes SoB look tame. WOW "X" must really beat a person up. Yikes!
  4. I can assure you Vortex that some of us do enforce this policy. I've already kicked out four people this season in just two weeks of working. Though i will say alot of employees are scared to enforce this policy because it sucks to deal with it but i always tell people if it gets bad just call security and they can haul them off in cuffs. Good for you crazypkikid!!!!!!!!!! Bravo!
  5. Last Friday some people (at least 4-5) walked past everyone in the Firehawk line (over 100 people waiting by the way) they walked practically right up to the loading area. The people in front of me were livid, and kept complaining to the ride operaters and a bunch of us backed-up her complaint. They boarded Firehawk and then were told to get right back off. We all have to wait in line. It might not be fun, but I'll never understand why people think that they can just walk on a ride because they don't feel like waiting. The metal turn styles were put there FOR A REASON! Makes me wonder if these people sneak into the park too? In all of the years I have been to KI this was the first time I saw line jumpers get kicked off of a ride.
  6. 27 people weren't hurt on The Bat though. People were hurt on SoB.
  7. I agree. The Revolution, was opened in 76 wasn't it? I think Arrow took risks, by that I mean they seemed to be ready to try things that had never been tried before. I admire that. The Bat was a risk because it had never been done before. It didn't work out but that's what trying new ideas is about. Arrow was ahead of their time and I think they inspired the ride industry. The Vortex is excellent. The Screamin Demon was a blast, but they over shadowed it when Vortex moved into the park. If the SD was still there I would ride it everytime I went. Flight Deck is great too, but not as good as The Bat. You put it perfectly, they were pioneers and they should be appreciated. (Just my opinion). I like Arrow designs, they pushed the envolope.
  8. I wonder if the lines will be REALLY long even though it's so early? Still sounds like fun and I have a gold pass. Hhhmmmm, very tempting.
  9. I heard that there are coupons you receive to use in the park (example: free refills on some beverages, etc.) when you purchase a gold pass......is that true?
  10. The Racer The Vortex Drop Tower Delirium ( an Absolute MUST) so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :The Beast (A classic long woodie, fun!) Is Drop Zone still Drop Zone or was it changed to Drop Tower?
  11. I always wondered why they put it there......your hair wasn't blowing back or anything because you were not up to top speed yet. I haven't been there yet, but that sounds like a better place to put the cameras.
  12. great pictures! Thanks for sharing. I was worried about what The Racers would look like......they really did do a Lovely job!
  13. Any opinions on The Racer going forward and forward? I haven't been there yet. Just thought I would ask all who went opening day.
  14. It's classic looking, I like it. I'm still a bit peeved that it no longer goes backward. It looks like the late 70's early 80's again. Tell me, do you think that they are trying this for this season and will see how it goes? Or has CF stated that The Racers will stay this way for good? Thanks. Thanks for sharing the picture too!
  15. I agree, that always tricks me. I think ...Oh that must be the new ride for this season. It is an annoying and misleading ad.
  16. Shaggy, do you know how many hillbillies would be asking where the "other" theatre is if they spelled it that way? OUCH!!!!
  17. I love the Lara Croft legend picture.......I want one!
  18. You could not have said that better! So true.
  19. Awwwww, I remember that LINE! It was mayhem the day my boyfriend and I went. I thought they just snapped your picture.........I was WRONG. The pass is worth it though. We had a blast that summer. I was going to ask what is the difference between the gold and regular pass, but everyone one on this forum has helped! Thanks everyone!
  20. Were The Racer tracks in bad shape? I knew it was a bit bumpy but I did not know that they had to replace track. The photo is very clear and lovely. I'm sure The Racer will be smoother now.
  21. How dare YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am wounded! You used "you're" in the wrong context as well. Haha I'm just kidding around....... My Heart is bleeding was meant to be funny. I just disagree with the choice that was made. Too bad for backward Racer
  22. Thank you for answering my question. I had not been to KI since 1987 and when I returned in 1999, well I was suprised how much had changed. I did know that 12 years would bring a different look to the park, I just wondered about that Tunnel I liked SO much. The animal safari was gone (which I had read about in the newspaper) I actually was reading in the newspapers about the different changes through my 12 years of absence. I never had a chance to ride Flight Commander, but at least I returned in time for a few more rides on the King Cobra! I wish they would NOT turn The Racer around though. I have ridden it more backward than forward. The backward one was the only one I would ride. Oh well, I love The Racer and as long as it's there (and it should always be at KI) I will continue to ride my favorite coaster. It will just feel odd going forward on that white track. LOL. Thanks again for your prompt tunnel answer! Enjoy the rest of your night!
