  2. http://www.kiextreme.com/history_defunct.php every ride thats ever been at KI Are there photos of Haily's comet, Bev. Beetle and the rotor?
  3. LUCKY!!!!! (iN A NAPOLEAN DIANAMITE VOICE) I WISH I WENT! LUCKY!!!!! LOL
  4. Skyflyer is fun, I agree. I think it my have been the first pay as you ride in the park, but I'm not positve. You make a good point. Odette
  5. That is exactly what I am talking about. I think it's a great space too. I see kids in my neighborhood with their own trampolines, so why pay to jump on them at KI? That Is a prima spot. They could put in a great flat ride there. As far as Days of Thunder......it's a good space and in my opinion being wasted (as I said, just my opinion). Skyflier has been there since 1995? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). They have offered good deals on Skyflier and slingshot. I have never been on slingshot so I don't have the experience that others on this website may have experienced. Coney mall has two prime spots.....the place where Flight commander was and the old 180 theatre or laser tag.....whatever it's an eyesore. There is a lot of potential there, and I would like to see it come to life again! Odette
  6. That is a clear picture, but it makes me sad. I loved the loop. It looks so sad. I guess that was the only solution, remove the loop. Thanks for sharing your pictue. Odette.
  7. Okay, I hope I'm not offending anyone, if I do I apologize....however I always thought the spot that the Zodiac and then Flight Commander occupied was valuable space. So why are there trampolines monopolizing this great space? (If they have moved anything, forgive me as I have not yet been to the park this season) As far as Sling Shot goes why are we expected to pay again when we just did that at the front gate? Days of Thunder is fun for kids (I guess) but everytime I walk past there the gas fumes are quite tedious not to mention the good deal of space that it takes up. Again these are just questions I'm throwing out there,on this subject. If you do agree that is fine if you do not agree that's fine as well. I just want to know what you KI lovers think.
  8. I agree with you on everything except, the elephant ride, canoe ride and rotor. I think those were gone by the time I was old enough to ride. I do remember my older sister talking about how she would get on the rotor and then get right back on. I guess there were no lines. That's how it was when I rode the screamin' demon in its last season. I miss all of the other rides you mentioned.
  9. I never had a chance to ride the bav. beetle. I always wondered about it though. Was it a small coaster? I loved the screamn' demon and The Bat. I had a cup with "Screamin Demon" on it but I don't know where it's at. I loved the loop on SoB, it was my favorite part. Too bad Odette
  10. I miss: Flight Commander The Bat The Bavarian Beetle The Bayern Curve The Tumblebug I would love to find an old pennant that I used to have as a kid that had The Beast, The Bat, and the Screamin' Demon on it.
  11. I agree with you. The King Cobra had a wonderful first drop and then into the LooP. Why did they take it down? Was it dangerous? The Bat would swing way out and it just had something special that pehaps is lacking on the newer suspended coasters. I also miss the screamin demon, it was scary because it shook so much and it made so much noise, I loved that!
  12. I am thrilled with this website. I love KI history and I love the photos of how the park has changed in 35 years.
