Son of Beast….worst coaster ever…with (seriously) the best loop ever! (The only reason I endured the ride was to be able to experience that loop. )

Thrilled to be getting a Fearfest pin!!! Also, I was never a Son of Beast fan…but boy that’s a nice looking pin! It’s ironic that the best SOB pin to be released has come way after the ride was torn down.

I will retract my comment about the Invertigo pin…it is 2 layers high and looks a lot nicer than the park’s photo shows.

Maybe the park could utilize slow periods in the gift shops…and instead of the old “Leaning Time Is Cleaning Time” signs, they could switch it to “Nano Coaster Building Time”!

Well, unfortunately, design wise, neither of the latest pins are anything to write home about…but fortunately for me, neither ride is in my top favorites. I do find it odd how some of the pins are super deluxe, and others simply plain…for example, I never would have guessed that the Flight Commander would get the deluxe treatment while Adventure Express got a generic pin.

I ordered the Invertigo & Drop Tower pins sight unseen…gotta complete the set, so it really doesn’t matter what they look like…but I am hoping that the Drop Tower one is a little more deluxe and has it so that the ring slides up and down…I can dream!

I chuckle every time I see that listing. (Of course he will be laughing harder than us if he finds someone crazier than he is that actually buys it!)

I wouldn’t say the fountain was the ONLY good thing about Haunt this year, but it was certainly one of the highlights of this year’s Haunt…and that’s coming from someone who still misses the old fountain!

The Flight of Fear one is interesting…but the slime one is pretty lame (imho)…once it’s off of the card it will not make a bunch of sense…they should have skipped that one since they couldn’t put Nickelodeon’s name on it.

I swear…if this site were not meant to be family friendly you would see some very explicit words! How sleazy is the newest 50th Anniversary pin offering?!? The park must be taking tips from Disney on how to attempt to squeeze as much money out of their fans. First we had the recent 50th Anniversary coin set that was asking fans to rebuy 2 items that they probably already owned…but now they’ve topped themselves…now they want people to rebuy 5 things!!! I am SO disappointed in the park with these sleazy sales tactics. Anyone who knows me knows that I try hard to own the rarer items that the park brings out…but they can choke on this one, I will not buy this out of principle.

I received my latest batch this week…the most recent 8 pins. I am truly amazed at the quality of some of these pins. Viking Fury with it’s actual swinging boat is great… and Sky Lab’s wheel really spins! The Winterfest one looks a lot nicer in person than I expected…both Amazon Falls and the Festhaus ones are nice. I am a bit underwhelmed by both the King Cobra & Vortex pins…they seem to be pretty generic compared to most of the others…but I still like having them.

I remember snow back during one of my Fearfest trips back when the campground still existed…it was during the day, and cold (obviously)…but it was an adventure. (It was decent sized flakes, but never accumulated on the ground.)

They wouldn’t even have to touch the Paramount years unless they wanted to…there are enough older rides still unaccounted for…plus they could do things like The International Restaurant, original marquee sign, the inflatable theater, trams, fountain with pedestals…I could fill out probably 75 pins…but then of course most people wouldn’t want most of them!

If we were living in a world like the movie “Liar, Liar”…at least half of the restaurants in America would have to use this as their slogan!

This sign ended up at a flea market for sale way over 10 years ago…I regret not buying it now…although I have no idea (still) where I would have put it.

I like this…but I have also liked seeing all of the scareactors congregate at the foot of the fountain at the end of the evening…it gives me a good chance to see the makeup & costumes in a good light…so I’m a bit torn over this.

Skylab…so big the card can’t hold it all!
