  1. Ah yes, but many people might. I like it quite well. It's all a subjective thing. Some people don't like The Beast or Racer. I see both as priceless game-changing works of art.
  2. Let me guess...they complained they did not have a ball on the ride? I'm in stitches right now! I've been (un)lucky to have enough of a belly to prevent me from that fate. Although, I've lost weight lately and have began to understand what everyone has been complaining about.
  3. Tom, I would agree with that. The old, solid members are just how they used to be. They're (we're) trying to deal with some of these new members(some troublesome, some not at all). I think my ignore list is going to grow exponentially.
  4. Terpy, I'm going to be honest; I can't quite understand that statement.
  5. I'm not getting worked up about it. I'm simply stating it isn't the same as it used to be.
  6. Perhaps you should take your own advice. And if you weren't a complete noob you would see that I haven't posted for a month.
  7. Neither do I. It doesn't feel warm and welcoming here any more.
  8. This seems a bit silly. You are on a roller coaster with the wind drying out your less desirable areas, and dispersing the smell to boot.
  9. Strange, I actually meant to type discretion when I posted. How I put discrepancy, I have no clue. Thanks Terpy.
  10. Yes, it costed indeed. Unfortunately, the real world doesn't have Rollercoaster Tycoon physics where you delete a loop and replace it with an S bend, you get money. It costs money to remove things, then money to build more track. Perhaps they could profit from scrap metal though...
  11. ^ Yes and yes. It's remained stagnant since the conversion. It's long overdue for an addition. Perhaps a refresh too.
  12. I rarely ride Invertigo as it has too long of a line. But when I do, I usually prefer to face the ground on the first lift hill. It make it more of a scary experience.
  13. Maple, I love your post. You nailed the description. I used to love TR:TR and The Crypt when it first opened. I rode TR:TR in its first season and was blown away. The theming and actual ride experience were flawlessly integrated and helped make a great package. Then The Crypt came along. No real theming. At least, the theming didn't work with the ride. They form two separate worlds. There's the "theming" in the queue, then the ride. That's it. The ride program was fantastic! But it was just a ride in a box. No story, no theming, no sound effects. I dealt with it for the awesome adrenaline rush the ride provided, but it just wasn't the same. I wasn't really into it. In the TR:TR days, I would actually get nervous. I would get excited. I would get enveloped. The theming adds a huge amount of mystique to the ride. I guess what I'm saying is, I was in it for the whole experience, not just wait in the indoor queue for a case of vertigo in a box. Then the new Crypt! That came along and The Crypt was actually removed from the park map for me. It's awful. The only thing about The Crypt that originally kept me coming back was the awesome ride program. Well that's been removed and theming went long ago. So what, exactly, is there to keep me coming back? Nothing. In my opinion, KI should cut their losses, remove it, and put that space to a better use. It's done, pack it in, we had a good run. You know, all the clichès.
  14. Not so much due to the lack of painting, just the lack of attention. Every time I'm back there I feel like the park is just trying to forget about it. So, what if? Personally, I love it and want it to stay. Will it stay? Most likely.
  15. Opinions are great, however they require another component; discretion. Know when to throw out your opinion and how to do so. Seems to be a bit of a problem around KIC.
  16. I'm sorry if this topic has been posted, or even beaten to death. We know of at least one ride that's going downhill in Action Zone (pun intended), perhaps two. Throw away your opinions on the rides that are in their current spots, and cast a dream. My question: if, IF, SoB and Flight Deck were to be removed, what would you do with the space?
  17. How would one go about increasing the speed of bumper cars, anyway? Would more electricity be the only requirement? Or different motors?
  18. 99 Luft Balloons- Nina Bennie and the Jets- Elton John
  19. September 11th is just another day. It's a day on which something very unfortunate happened but we must continue living our lives.
  20. Up! Up! *Crosses fingers* One can dream, can't he?
  21. I completely agree with this. I consider myself lucky, I'm 18, born in '90, and was raised the old fashioned way. My parents could and did touch me if I misbehaved. I wasn't afraid of them, I didn't think I was being abused, I just knew what was coming if I acted up. I will still occasionally thank them for that. I think it made me a more behaved and responsible person. My school, however, had already banned paddling when I started kindergarten. As gruesome as it seems, I think it's necessary. Kids today are terrible! I can't remember a single day myself or any of my other graduated classmates acted like what I see these days at KI. It's gotten even worse with this No Child Left Behind policy! I was shocked to find out that none of the kids in elementary can fail any more without parental consent. What is that!? So now we have all the problem kids who don't try or don't care tormenting the Jr. High teachers. I know of several that were in my school's Seventh grade for three years. This is just setting them up for failure. I can't help but think this is contributing to the problem at hand. Parents just seem to let their children run amok now. They've fallen victim to this new "can't touch 'em" parenting style, where they seem to think if you spank your child, he will grow up to be a serial murder. Less time is spent teaching kids at early ages, too. I used to watch an immense amount of educational TV shows, heck, I still do! But now we have Hannah Montana and iCarly. Ugh. What are we teaching our kids? Girls should grow up to be brainless bimbos who have to look good to succeed and boys should be slack-jaw nitwit mouth-breathers who won't get anywhere unless they can finish a 24 pack in an evening? Since when do we need pills to keep our kids at bay? Since when has it been okay to let our kids disrespect elders, or anyone for that matter? The metal detectors are a freakin' crock! Every time I go I never remove what I have on me, I know I can get through. I always carry my keys, my iPhone, my wallet, and my full metal Zippo. Couple all these with my glasses and belt buckle. The detector never goes off! That's a little bit unnerving. If I can get through with all that stuff, who know what else is getting through?! I will hand it to them, last time I beeped it was because of a cigar cutter which I forgot I had on me. They actually took it and held it for the day. Those can't do much damage. That being said, it comforted me to know they took something that just looks dangerous. I just wish the sensitivity of the detectors were greater. Sparky, I'm sorry you had that experience. From reading your post, I understood completely what kind of day you were having. I have the all the time. You were already about at the end of your rope and that one little S.O.B. did it. I understand. I'll have someone remarkably insignificant do something comparatively petty but, for some reason, I just snap. I don't blame you. Go back to KI, just try the weekdays. The weekends are miserable. Every time I go I regret it.
  22. Well that would be rather uncomfortable and rude, anyway.
