That area of Cony Mall is just dead. I was sitting there last night waiting for friends. It felt more like an slowly dying amusement park than a thriving midway. Hell, the biggest attraction over there was the designated smoking area! Something new needs to go in there. Something to attract the masses. Something to take up the space of that building and freakin' EuroBungie.

Jackson, that's what I was thinking too. I was stunned by how fast that line moved. I can't wait to see some of the days before summer.

After a certain amount of coaxing by some very persuasive people here, I got in line despite not being able to fit in the test seat. Well, it was worth it. We waited 48 minutes. I got on and still couldn't really fit. Luckily, my friend Cory Butcher was there to give me push. (Thanks, Cory.) The ride was absolutely incredible! I'm thrilled to have it in KI.

Yeah, they removed the laser tag building. At least that's what I think I'm looking at. If not, I did notice it yesterday.

Haha! My friend wiped his mouth with his right hand. I just didn't have the heart not to tell him about it. To my misfortune, I saw it yesterday. I felt terrible. The park has really let it go. I hope it gets some TLC soon. It deserves it. The Crypt looked terrible. None of the scenery had been tweaked or renewed. I think the massive bat monster thing had a dislocated jaw. There was trash all over the place and gum on the catwalk. I noticed all this while the ride was broken down. There did seem to be a lack of benches. There seemed to be more concrete and wood walls to sit on than benches.

I'm thinking the same thing.

I'm just nervous about fitting on the ride. Otherwise, I can't wait.

On the contrary, you have air conditioning, the loud sound of the ride operating, and change falling. Nothing like a little ambiance.

I think the waterfall will look incredible once all the landscaping is in and grown. I'm really looking forward to seeing the end result. Patience...

Katie, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm a friend with a gold pass and one without. The one without is just going to have to wait. I'm not going to limit myself just because he can't ride. Yes, I just may be heartless.

You may be right about the absence of the Crypt lockers. I'm looking forward to some firsthand research.

If I were to pick a locker location, I would probably go with either the Rivertown lockers (in front of the Crypt) or the ones in X-Base (in front of Firehawk).

That would be an experience. Nothing like the chill of the morning and the sunrise still visible while you crest the first hill.

Actually, the fries in the picture look quite good to me. It just reminded me that I'm hungry. I bet the drink machines will return. Can't let them sit out in the winter weather.

As do I. There's nothing quite like leaving the park through I Street with the music, lights, and the sound of the water in the fountains. The only thought in your head: "What a great day at the place I love."

Simple answer, we will never see a loop on SOB again. To make the loop, the trains had to be heavier than the average wooden coaster train. As a result, the track and supports were being damaged by the extra weight of the trains. Finally, something gave. Some vertical timbers in the Rose Bowl cracked resulting in a buckle in the track. Fast forward. Clearly, something needed to be done. So they acquired lighter trains, which couldn't make it through the loop, but wouldn't damage the track. The choice was clear.
