  1. the chances of him being evaced on Diamondback are almost atronomical. its been evacuated what twice this year, out of how many trains not to mention people.... ugh.
  2. Yeah, regardless of what you can or cannot ride, im pretty sure everyone can agree that SOB is a majestic coaster to look at and to watch. Its chain lift pretty much makes Action Zone, without SOB running that place feels empty. I only go there to ride Drop Zone and Top Gun occasionally.
  3. you are really setting yourself up for failure...
  4. they dont clear by sections, but the entire thing. thats thousands of people all going out, just to come right back in. it will be mayhem...
  5. I honestly think the reason haunt is lacking is because of the sheer amount of people that go. when i went on friday night, it was a completely different experience. we were sent through most with groups of 4-8 and it was way better. you would get freaked, no matter if you were in the front or the back. the saturday i went, it was so crowded the group sizes were doubled and sent in much quicker intervals. you could see what happened to the group in front of you half the time, and it really killed the fun.
  6. i guess i was wrong about the first year attendance, it would have been interesting to go. If they are going to the old model, then why isnt it a separately paid attraction like it was promised to be a long time ago...
  7. and it had to be done for the separate admission. Plus, im betting it didnt draw some serious crowds the first year, as things normally need some word of mouth to catch on.
  8. ugh. this does not sound very cool i didnt even see the reentry thing. now we are going to have giant crowds of people waiting to get into the park right at 7. Giant crowds that will not be happy... i have a feeling crowd control will be an issue. and what about the metal detectors? talk about a line... edit: i seriously think they should just have a system that when you enter the park if the kid is under 12 they get some sort of wristband that basically says only good till 6pm. have any and all staff informed that kids under the age of 13 must be escorted out of the park during the hours of 6 and 7 pm. It really should be done...
  9. almost positive its the soft close. where as long as you are in line. do they keep the roller coasters that dont close at night open during that hour?
  10. im disappointed that they never went through with the separate admission for haunt. my pass says no admission to fearfest, although that is odd as fearfest isnt even the term for it, its Halloween Haunt. again, im also disappointed that its only open until midnight on thursdays and sundays, although i can see why they are doing that.
  11. i seriously dont think a tshirt shows you rode the ride. unless you actually rode it and got your ride photo, or you got a first rider shirt... which you obviously didnt. i actually dont like people who act like they have ridden a ride and are actually afraid and wont ride it. its not that they are afraid, but that they wont admit they are afraid. ugh...
  12. sadly, you make a good point. as much as i like Diamondback, and having a b and m at Kings Island, i love new, innovative rides. Kings Island is full with once new and innovative rides and i think that's part of the magic. From what i hear Diamondback is just like Behemoth, besides a few differences in the layout...
  13. yeah, didnt happen. or youd have an outcry of people wanting to ride The Beast backwards ones again every haunt. im pretty sure youd have to get that approved by ohio anyways, not to mention the other work to get the ride running safely backwards.
  14. some people werent meant to ride certain rides. it looks like you wont be riding Diamondback again, which is fine. i wont be riding Delirium anytime soon, either. i just cant take it. that being said, if they put seatbelts on Diamondback which is highly unlikely, i among others will be very ticked as it will make capacity go down the tubes. B and M or any other company doesnt design restraints to look safe, but rather to actually be safe. If that doesnt require seatbelts, im really glad!
  15. its not that the ride is down, as much as it is that the ride is down and they don't really publicly explain why. They just have a few news reports that most of the general public doesn't even hear about half the time, and wonder why people make up stuff. Its because they have nothing else to believe.
  16. in short, no. they did have this to say from the report and on the cincinnati.com article, though...
  17. i really have a feeling that thursday will be a great day crowdwise, but not worker wise. i wonder if it will be like when they had fridays and they called them bare-bones except with less coasters open. i just dont see it being as awesome as it could be if it were the exact same as saturday. its not on the calendar still, and they havent released if it would have the same hours or anything either.
  18. take this as fact. no one has fallen out of Diamondbacks seat. people of all shapes and sizes have ridden it this year. what makes you think that you will be that one person who somehow managed to fall out of the ride? simply put, it wont happen...
  19. he wouldnt even talk to the press. the official word as of now is and has been
  20. you are right about the mcdonalds. the one in monroe of off route 63 (exit 29) and the one in middletown at exit 32 both charge 25 cents for a cup of ice water.... they also dont do the 1.00 drinks promotion either, but thats a whole other conversation...
  21. my best friend had a dream that she was riding The Beast in the front seat, and was gasping for air and could hardly breathe. Needless to say, she was freaked about riding any coasters that day, until she rode one. It was just a strange form of anxiety brought upon by her newfound acid reflux... We had an awesome day btw and rode The Beast and everything with no issues. the hard part was getting on the first coaster of the day (Adventure Express!)
  22. talk about awesome! im totally going on thursday if its open the same hours as friday!!!
  23. neither, it is not recommended. it is a danger to everyone on the ride especially if you accidentally lose it and it hits someone. not to mention they can confiscate it, and could prosecute you, it really is illegal.
  24. man, that 2001 website archive is amazing! i love how Son of Beast is their signature attraction. ive honestly never seen that picture of the train in the loop before, its pretty cool.
  25. beavercreeks is the 24th, or possibly the 25th. fairborns is the week of the 17th, i think the 18th but im not positive.
