Me and my family will be driving down to visit K.I. this week, we will be staying at the Great Wold Lodge Sun-Wed and usually just walk to K.I. but with the shaky weather forecast for Mon and Tue I am thinking about driving and parking at K.I. when we go there. With a parking pass, could we drive back and forth in the same day between the K.I. parking lot and GWL or if you leave and come back do you have to purchase a new parking pass?

That is exactly what we were hoping to do!

For several years that was our "regular" vacation hotel and we did always enjoy it (that they run shuttles back and forth to KI all day is a great bonus!). What we are actually thinking about doing is spending 1 night at the Great Wolf Lodge (awesome inside water park!) and then one night at a low cost hotel ($80 or less hopefully). The last time I checked, I believe that the Kings Island Resort and Conference Center was $100+/night. I'll check though since it has been a while. Last time I looked at it (this was last fall), it wasn't that much. It was actually a little less than many hotels in the area. Though Avatar can probably tell you for certain what their rates were like. Looks like about $135/night incl tax

Last year we stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and really liked it but it was a bit expensive. So, I am coming to the experts to get some advice. Any less expensive suggestions for the family? Thanks!

I'll be bringing my family down tomorrow and will be staying at the GWL tomorrow and Monday night. Because of the weather forecast, I am thinking that we may have to go to KI on Tuesday instead of the planned day of Monday. In the event that it happens, can anyone recommend a cheap hotel for Tuesday night? (not worried about anything but a bed to sleep in after going to the park. If it is up to an hour north of the park, that also will be fine) Thanks!

Hi all, I have brought my family down from MI to Kings's Island every summer for a few years now and after finding this great website thought I would ask for some tips. We usually stay at the Kings Island Resort mainly because we like the option to just ride back and forth on a bus through out the day. Any other hotel recommendations? Any that provide transportation to KI? (Wolf Lodge is probably a little too expensive). Any hotel or KI trip advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
