Just out of curiosity does anyone know how long a ride The Beast really is? I have heard anything from 3 minutes 40 seconds to 4 minutes 50 seconds? I would think the time would vary depending upon how fast you are going up the first lift hill. I noticed on the first lift hill that usually you will start off at a slow pace and then speed up about half way up the lift. Sometimes, however, they let the train go up the entire lift hill full speed.
450 if u count the extremely slow lift hills lol

B&M Hyper, we lack a good air time coaster (besides Racer). By the way, why a screaming squirrel, all it does is go back and forth downward, seems kind of boring to me.
i agree thats why i brought up the possibility off the screechin eagle a while back that has plenty of airtime

By all accepted industry definitions, Voyage is a wooden coaster. Are you trying to tell us the Coney Island Cyclone isn't? The Great White at Wildwood isn't? Twisted Twins at Kentucky Kingdom? The Comet at The Great Escape isn't? I could go on and on but will spare you. Please. Surely you don't think Gemini is wood? After all, it has steel tubular track but is on wood supports (not unlike Adventure Express).
You can call it what you want, but the rest of us will call Voyage what it is: a wooden coaster.

Man why does everybody hate Son of Beast?
First of all i will agree that it does kinda get boring after the former loop area (i wish they could have intamin or PTC design wooden trains that are light and can handle the loop) but i thought that i had heard that Sonny was supposed to have alot more track after the loop, (and maybe the second helix) but it would be longer than Beast, so the park had them redesign it to be shorter.
I dont know about you guys, but i enjoy sonny. It is a neat to see it ominously waiting over the Action Zone.
thank you i totally agree with you why is everyone complaining so much so its rough wowwww cry and be thankful we have a good record breaer that is a fun ride if u take a few asprin afterwards or before we dont have mean streak on our hands here!

Assuming they're using it as how I use it, basically like "oh please, don't be ridiculous."
The only thing i have to say really is Strobe Lights would be a terrible choice. Think of all the lawsuits from people being thrown into seizures. Even ones who don't have epilepsy can have a seizure from strobes.
Fine no strobes i can live w/o them.

You would be surprised who knows who john miller is about every ACE member does and the JackRabbit at Kennywood still gets attention A wooden or any coaster on that point dosent have to be huge or tall or fast it has to just be a fun and good ride.
As much as I'd hate to admit it, Jack Rabbit is a much better ride than Screachin' Eagle...

that was in the Cincy Enquirer about a year ago (or so) when he (Couch) announced the park would never reopen- that the coaster, carousel, and flume would stay..... - why, I'm not sure. I'm certain that wood for the coaster has not been kept up as it should (it' been closed for 3 years).
My thought is Kings Island (Cedar Fair) would have little interest in a coaster like that, even for nostalgia purposes. Spend a few million on a new coaster that within weeks would have a shorter walk up line than The Racer's.
Its a john miller classic and could possibly be re themed The Racer still does draw a crowd great ride have you ever rode it i dont think you have or you would know it would get alot of attention
