I have never eaten here before. Is there an online menu, and how busy will it be this Saturday at around 5pm? Is there usually a wait for a table?

I tried doing a search but came up empty. Is ERT 30 minutes this Saturday? I thought it used to be 60 minutes on Saturdays.

We were able to go on DB then saw pretty much every other rode was still shut down so we headed home at 8:30

How cold was the water?

I wear my sandals around the water park and just leave them at the entrance of each slide. I've only had one issue with this, a few years ago at Kings Dominion someone moved my sandals and it took me about 10 minutes to find them.

I wasn't sure which topic to post this ine, so this works. Is anyone else getting concerned that the water temperature is going to be frigid for Memorial day weekend? The forecast doesn't look very promising for the sun to warm up the water. Does Kings Island have heaters for the water?

Is the park map for the Haunt posted online anywhere?

The park opens at 6pm for Friday night Haunts! If your referring to the park not opening till 7pm on Saturday the 21st, it's because the park is closed to the general public during the day for a private event. The Park opens to the public at 7pm that night for the start of Haunt! Yes I did mean the 21st. Thanks for letting me know there is a private event being held that day.

I am kind of confused about the hours on September 21st. Normally the park opens around noon in the fall but on the 21st the park does not open untli 7. Does anyone think this will change when they announce the hours for Haunt? Edit: I had my date mixed up I meant Saturday the 21st.

I'd be really sad if they put a dark ride in the Midway Arcade. I always enjoy going in there and checking out the old arcade games.

Have you ever ridden either an invert or a diver? Each of the 3 inverts I've ridden (Raptor, Dueling Dragons and Montu) have been absolutely spectacular. The dive machine I've ridden (Sheikra) was fun, but not very impressionable. I've always wondered why folks around here tend to clamor for dive machines. I suggest you go to Busch Gardens and ride their diver and invert in the same setting. See which one you would rather ride a second time. Of all of the steel coaster possibilities, a B&M Invert would be my first choice. Inverted coasters used to be my favorite but now they always give me the spinnies so I would prefer a Dive or Giga for that reason. I'm also not a fan of over the shoulder harnesses so hopefully it will have lap bars similar to Diamondback. I've been on Montu, Dueling Dragons, Raptor, Great Bear and Volcano. I would take a coaster similar a i305, Millennium Force or Sheikra over all of them because I can ride them over and over without getting the spinnies.

Thanks again for the responses! Is there a difference in price purchasing online vs at the park? Are the lines long to purchase tickets at the park in the morning? Edit: I just checked for reservations at Mythos and nothing is available until the 27th. This makes me think the park will be very busy. Where else should we eat for dinner if we can't get into Mythos?

Thanks for the response shark. We stay at a condo on Madeira Beach every year. We go for the beach but will spend a day at the park. Is there stuff for older folks to do? My parents are going and will probably not go on coasters. Would Universal be better for them? They both like Harry Potter and my mom gets motion sickness. Do you think she will get sick? She got super nauseous from the space shuttle ride at Disney.

Good information in this thread but I have a few question as I will be going to IOA next week. We leave for Florida tomorrow! Will the fast past be worth it this time of year? This is after spring break and before summer busy season. If we don’t get fast past what rides should we hit up in what order? Also is the meal pass worth it for just one day at the park? What restaurants are included? Are there any discounts available for tickets going on right now?

Are they doing ERT the same way as they always have, just flash your Platinum Pass? Also do the Platinum passes look the same this year? I still have to get mine, so I am hoping they have a renewal option this year.

We are contemplating spending a day hiking and a day at the park. What trails would you recommends. I can do about 3-5 hours of hiking and then I'm over it.

Thanks for the heads up about the traffic. I did some research and there was a landslide back in march. Here is the detour in case anyone else is traveling this way: Detour is take Exit 160 to US-25W back to I-75 at Exit 134. TNDOT advises that delays are from 1 to 3 hours. They are working on setting up a northbound lane share to help alleviate this. I entered this in my directions on google maps and this detour ads about 25 minutes to the trip and looks to be very scenic. I'm working on planning a trip to Dollywood Memorial Day Weekend. We would drive down on Saturday and then drive home Monday afternoon. Can anyone recommend a place to stay, price range I'm looking at is around $85 or under a night. Is it better to stay in PigeonForge or Gatlinburg? I've never been to this area before so I don't know what to expect at all. Anything cool in the area we should check out on Saturday when we get in town? Sunday and Monday will be spent at the park/water park. Also are there any hints or tips for the park? Edit: I see that it is cheaper to buy a season pass for $76 than buy 2 one day passes at $60 each. Does the season pass also get you into the water park? Also how much does parking cost?

I was there as well, the park was ridiculously packed, even during the day. I wish we had fast possess but had a great time without them. I got in all the rides I wanted just wish I could have done more haunts. We did Mysteria and tombstone. Also nightmare ally which I loved.

How about some tips on what haunts to hit up first this year? This thread seems to be more about proper etiquette than actual tips. Here is a tip I will add. If you want to do most of the haunts in one night go on a Friday not a Saturday. Also if you want walk on rides go on Sunday.
