So did this cape thing ever go down?

I hope the new river will be better than the action river at Cp and more like schlitterbahns rapids section of their river.

I hope ths new wave pool offers surfing like at typhoon lagoon before the park opens.

Well I will throw my 2 cents. Last weekend at boomerang bay there were three upper looking people touring the area around the kids pirate ship. A little bit later on they were right outside the BB main gatelooking toward the dry park and one of them said that Pole will remain. They were looking at electric poles. I'm not sure if this is relevant but there us a hydrant out there I think. Anyways carry on.

Well I ended up buying the pass and the season pass center opened up at 8:37. It took about a minute to get it processed so we had plenty of time to run to the marina entrance for ert. We ended up getting first train of the day on MF. So it all worked out in the end. On a side note my sister accidentally brought her kings dominion platinum pass from last year instead of this years pass from KI. So we have to return to the season pass center each morning now to get temporary passes for her. Since she had purchased hers at ki they would not issue her a new pass. The temporary passes also say that parking is not included. Luckily I my Pass for that though.

That is what I'm going to end up having to do, but I wanted to be able to do early ride time on Thursday. Since I will have to register it then this will cut into ERT.

So I just went to Ki's website but did not find a link to do an instant renewal. Why would they remove it? CP still has a link for instant renewal on their page. Do you think I would be able to use the CP instant renewal with my KI platinum from last year? Or I also have a platinum pass from CP that is 2 years old. Would this possible work even though its 2 years old? I just called both parks and kit is not offering instant renewal. Also cp instant renewal is only for the year prior. Bummer I might miss out on ert on thursday.

I have a question about renewing platinum passes. If I do a renewal does this mean I do not have to show up at my home park (Kings Island) to do any registration? I'll be renewing this week for my trip to Cedar Point, and am hoping I will be able to use it up there without having to go to Kings Island first since I live in Indianapolis. If this is not possible, then I'll just purchase my pass through CP.

I will be there the 28th through the 30th, just going to miss this by a day.

So what kind of an impact will this have on the ride times for the rest of us that won't be using the fast lanes? Will it make the waits longer, or will it be the same because these people would be in line anyways? I'm not really concerned about gold press parking but I do wonder about handicap parking. Everytime I go I see people parking there with the hang tag that are obviously not handicap.

Does anyone know if there will still be the outdoor haunt in the woods where Dinosaurs Alive now resides? That was one of my favorites.

I was in line for The Beast during the fireworks so I missed this. I did see it on the ground though and it looked beautiful. Some of the ride operators were doing practice with opening and closing the harnesses, they said they were hoping to open it up within the next week. I also got an upclose look at the testing dummies, and they said B@M on them so I'm assuming these are the same ones used on DB.

This Memorial day we weekend we plan on going to Holiday World, but if the weather is not nice then we might go to Dollyworld and also hiking. Does anybody know of some good places to go hiking? Also what is Dolllywood like? Is it worth a 7 hour car ride? Any Hotel Recommendations, or what to ride and when in the park? Any other helpful tips would be appreciated.

We went to Busch Gardens last Tuesday while I was in Florida, and I must say this coaster looks amazing! I was very surprised at how long this ride is, it takes up a more room than I realized it did from just looking at pictures. They still have a lot of finishing up to do on the theming so I was not surprised to see it not open for a soft opening. Maybe next year I will get to ride it.

Excuse me? At Carowinds this past weekend, I not only ate in the park, but I purchased a shirt from the gift shop. At Kings Dominion, I ate in the park, and blew about $60 in the gift shops. I was walking around with a KD bag on my back and a $4 bottle of water in my hand. I still eat in the park and buy souvenirs at both KI and CP. Once again, my point was completely overlooked and yet another judgment was made about me and others. I am sick and tired of explaining that not all thrillseekers refuse to spend money in the park. This generalization, whether directed at me or not, is unnecessary and irrelevant, and it's really starting to tick me off. Comments like that are hurtful. I did not ask to be judged, but I guess that comes along with being a member of KICentral. I'm going back under again for a while. I'm sorry I started posting here again. I forgot that respect for others is not part of the agreement in the TOS. I haven't posted much in the past couple of years, but I always look forward to reading your posts Giga. With that said I don't think you should take any personal offense to what he said. He never singled you out, so I'm not sure why you are taking his comments so personal. I will admit that I leave KI for most meals, but I took no offense to it. It's my choice to stay or leave to eat. I live in Indianapolis so i can only make it there to KI about once a month during the summer, but still I choose to leave the park to eat. I think that maybe you should realize that there are a lot of people that are on this site ,and that anything negative is not directed personally towards you. Just my two cents worth. Personally I think that people are a lot more easy going on this site than they were when I first joined a few years ago.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you know of you grey out? I rode I 305 last year and I don't remember my head feeling wierd or anything. I've also ridden MF many many times and don't remember anything strange either.

No....it's the current cost of a Platinum Pass minus what you actually paid for the pass you have. It also can ONLY be done at the park where you purchased the pass, nowhere else. Or so it has been to date. Two years ago I purchased a gold pass online from KI and then upgraded to platinum at CP. I'm glad it worked out that way, but it was an anxious wait for the office to open up in time so I could make it to ERT though. edit: Some of my personal favorites: Maverick - Front row, this is a must. MF - Last row Magnum - 2nd row first car, I believe people on here call it the "ejector seat". Raptor - 1st row unless its night time lol Cedar Fair Downs - The horse with orange on it. Blue Streak - 2nd to Last Row Gemini - Last Row Mean Streak - Don't ride it lol Also make sure you try out these flats: Skyhawk, Power Tower side that launches, Max Air. In Soak City the Plunge slide is the bomb!

I believe all of the slides have waste high water, also keep in mind that Soak City charges a seperate admission charge. If you get there when it opens you can ride each slide multiple times with little or no wait for the first few hours of operations. Soak City is lots of fun, enjoy!

I'm glad to hear they finally announced an opening date for this ride, but at the same time am bummed out because I will be down there in April not May. It looks like I may see about going to Universal or Sea World instead of Busch Gardens this year. Whichpark has a better roller coaster count? I know that Universal has the new Harry Potter Castle, is that worth going to over riding the Manta?

Do you see Cedar Fair recovering from debt anytime this decade?

What do you think the odds are of this being open in mid April? I'll be in the area from april 16 to the 23rd and I'm really hoping to check out the new coaster.
