On The Beast Saturday, the lady behind me was talking about Vortex and saying how smooth it was; I said back to her Vortex isn't smooth at all. She responds by saying "you don't like Vortex?". I said of course I do, but it's not smooth at all. She then says to her daughter that I'm crazy. lol I think she was heading to Vortex after that, I should have followed her!

It's insanse how busy CP is on a Saturday night during Haunt. During Mavericks opening year we went, and arrived just before 5. Here is my ride count that night. Raptor Dragster Maverick Skyhawk Chick Filet - I'm counting this because chick filet was super busy too! We didnt even have time to try and go into some haunts.

Did he say why it was his biggest mistake?

Is Ki still offering the ERT on Beast and DB during haunt? Also I haven't been able to make it to ERT at all this year, how does it work? Do you just flash your platinum pass and then walk under the rope?

I'm looking forward to haunt on Thursday, I believe this is the first one ever on a Thursday. What do you guys think the crowds will be like? I scheduled off Friday from work so I could drive down and attend. I'm thinking it should be light crowds since most people will have work or go to school on Friday.

Don't they have a parking lot coaster?

Friday Nights - You can make it throug most of the Haunts, the park is crowded but not near as bad as Saturday. Saturday - During the day you can get all your rides in by 2- 3pm if you are there at opening. Night time is SUPER crowded every line spills out of the que's. Saturday nite is best served getting in the few haunts you missed on Friday Nite. Sunday - The park is DEAD, re- rides on any coaster you want. The weeekend before halloween we are spending Friday, Saturday and Sunday there. I can't wait!!!

Did the Dippin' dots guy tell you that? No,why? *facepalm* It's an inside joke. Anytime a crazy rumor (like Vortex sinking or Cedar Fair moving Dragster down to Kings Island) starts up people bring up the associate least likely to relay any inside information from the company...namely the guy who works at the Dippin Dots stand. Another notable substitute is the Cabana Lady who works at Boomerang Bay. I claim the start of the Cabana Lady She told me that Disney might be KI and make the wave pool into Mickey Mouse ears. lol

We aren't going this weekend. It's supposed to be in the 80's next weekend so we might hit up holiday wolrd and KI. I might head out there Sunday on my own though.

If it was CP I'd say it probly wouldnt rain on the pennisula and you should go, but this is KI so it probably will.

Where did you see this weather report at? The latest I saw on weather.com says high of 68 on Sunday. I saw this around noon. So is El Nina` when it gets hotter than normal? If so I can't wait for that.

If they don't come I'll probly just head to the park by myself. I really wished my sisters boyfriend would ride coasters though. ( He was afraid on The Racer last summer ) hehe

Is anyone else bummed out by the forecast for this weekend? I've been looking forward to my trip to KI this weekend all summer. My sister is coming down with her boyfriend and we were going to do up Boomerang Bay for 2 days. Now its looking like it will be too cold for BB and her boyfriend does not like rollercoasters at all, so we might not be going. Seems like this summer has pretty much sucked from the get go for hot weather.

Absolutely laughable what you just posted... Seriously record breaking is not that big of an attraction to the general public, unlike exciting rides, which I305 will be, just like Diamondback has been for KI. Some of the best coasters around do not break records. Some that do are maientence nightmares, Kingda KA, SoB to name a few. CF is more likely to go bankrupt because of the downturn in the economy and the large capital expenditures they continue to make. ^This is what's laughable. CF loves record breaking. I'm sorry to upset you fanboys but I'm only being reasonable. CF's top priority wasn't creating a great ride, their top priority was making sure the coaster goes 1mph less than the great MF! Cedar Fair was already losing tons of money even before the economic downfall took effect. I'll still laugh when they file for chapter 11! Stop being a D-bag please!!!

How much was the Super 8? We normally stay at the Quality Inn one exit away from KI. I've stayed there a few times and like it. It's usually about $80 a night.

Glad to here maverick is running normal now. Last week the launch was pretty slow. The rest of the ride still rocked though!

They gave me one of those tiny cups at the tacos place by skyhawk. I was given normal size cups at Soak City though, and at the swim up bar they gave us 16 oz cups.

Wendys always gives me water the size up a tea cup. This is really annoying considering I rarely drink pop. I did get around this at jack in the box by asking for two waters lol

I was at Cedar Point on thursday and went to the oldies diner by iron dragon. The lady working there told me I couldnt get water there but could anywhere else but there. I thought there was a law stating that parks had to give people water. This was weird considering this same place gave me some last year.

Something like Cedar Downs Racing Derby would be a great addition to Coney Mall.
