  1. The scenes from that Phantom Theater video above is from the movie "the Shadow" with Alec Baldwin, released in the early 90's. Good movie, but definitely not a new Phantom Theater promotion. Some people have too much time on their hands.
  2. Just left KI. There is a full train on the loading station and yes, it has all 6 cars and full of water dummies. Also, there are no headrests, but cannot see the restraint system. I snapped a couple of nice close-ups and will post them when I get home.
  3. It's amazing how the GP has gotten this rediculous rumor about SoB. I was scoping out SoB from ET last week when I overheard some lady say to her friend "Yea, that's the ride someone died on last year. They need to tear it down before it kills someone else". I just wanted to smack her upside the head and say "No one friggin' died on it, ok?" Of course, I didn't do that though.
  4. I remember the Flying Dutchman shoes, part of Octoberfest. It was one of my favorite "relaxing rides" when I was a kid. The actual location is currently where Coke Zone is located and was also the location of Skylab.
  5. Went to CP on the 7th. Was on one of the last rides of the night when Maverick had something go wrong. Our train ended up sitting on the track about 50 feet before the loading station for about 45 mins. They ended up walking us off the ride. On a side note, I've been riding coasters since 1978 and that was the the first time ever that I've had a coaster brake down while I was on board.

    Storms

Hi guys, I am new here. I thought I would respond to this post. I have been to KI twice when storms moved through the area a couple of weeks ago. Only the big rides closed when lighting was near. I timed the lighting to be within about 5 miles before they shut the big rides down, but they waited a lot longer to reopen the rides after the stoms moved out of the area. All the smaller rides stayed open until the lighting was practically on top of KI. As for the rain, ALL rides were open shortly after the storms moved through and it was still raining for awhile afterwards. This was after the MXL2000 accident btw. I was on Firehawk when it was lightly raining the 1st time and they didn't shut it down. I was on The Beast the 2nd time it was raining and it was raining much harder and it was not shut down. So I don't think that light to moderate rain is affecting ride closure at KI. -Ronnie
