  1. Tell me where to sit next time and I gladly go on it again if it means my back and neck won't be broken! I have sat in the front and back, so where should I go next time?
  2. We waited longer in line for some of the water slides than we did for most of the rides we went on. We hit Face-Off at the beginning, we got there when the park open and so it was an hour. Back Lot we started to get in line for it after riding Vortex and Beast, but some one said it was a 2 hour wait from this point because they had 1 train going....later on they had more I think because the line wasn't as bad, but by the time we got back around it was 2 hours again toward the park closing. The longest wait times were Firehawk, Face-Off and Back Lot. No I am 5' and just under 200lb. My friend who is 5'4 and 150lb had a rough time also, but we were told to ride in the back car and it wouldn't be jerky! YEAH RIGHT! I dunno by what you meant defensively, I tried to hold my arms up and I couldn't because I was trying to keep my butt in my seat because around the final few turns there I jerked around so hard, that if it wasn't for that lap bar and belt, I would've fell out!
  3. I have only gone it 2 times. Will never ride it again. But a kid that rode at the same time as we did, was on his 5th time and we saw him get back in line for a 6th.
  4. Wow was the weather ever perfect for a day at an amusement park, sunny but really really hot. We parked at the Water Park entrance and got an all-day locker and plus we were planning to head back there later on that day. We had my 6 y/o niece and so we had to split our time between her and what we all wanted to do. We rode the Rugrats ride first and I mean my niece enjoyed that one to pieces. But here's my view of the rides we did: Beast- 5 minute wait....got on and off in less than 10 minutes....great ride. We rode in the back and it wasn't jerky at all. Vortex - less than an hour wait...(they had 3 trains going by the time we got on)...still jerky! It knocked one of my earrings out of my ear, but I caught it...but the rumor of it being torn down was still going around. Delirium - Holy cow! I wasn't going to even get on this one...but I am glad I did. I loved it! I actually thought we were going to go all the way over at the peak! Drop Zone - Hasn't changed Face-Off - My friend and I sat in 2 different rows so we could face off and it was better than the last time I rode it because I didn't feel like I was going to fall out! LOL The line was the longest we waited the whole day. Son of Beast - NEVER EVER AGAIN! UGH! I dunno if its as jerky or worse than it was with the stupid loop. But before we even go down to the chain lift, it jerked me so hard my back cracked in all the wrong places! Its short compared to The Beast....I'd rather wait in line for The Beast over this one. The Crypt - Broke down as we were going to get on it....so we never got on. Firehawk- 2 hour wait and I wasn't doing that and paying 75 cents to put my bag into a locker! Flight of Fear - was the last ride we went on....its so much better since they changed the restraints...not jerky to me at all! Back Lot - didn't go on it...lines were long by the time we got around to it and some one said it was a 2 hour wait the one time we got in line Water Park - hah we spent probably 3 hours over in there, I'd say most of the park's attendance was over in there....had a blast...never going on that Down Under one....both me and my friend got banged up on it! So there's my day at the park. Sunburnt and all! Had an awesome time!
  5. Tuesday-Thursday were the days we decided on to go to the parks because of the crowds being down....
  6. I will find out for myself tomorrow!
  7. Well looks like we have planned the right day for this week to make the track down to Cincinnati!
  8. I have been on this ride at both parks in the past, its not a matter of being scared of heights (which I am....I just look straight out) its just the safety factor. But my friend and brother are like you gotta ride on it, and said the same thing as people here have said, if Cedar Fair didn't think it was safe they wouldn't have it open.
  9. Kings Island isn't the only park in this group that I am planning to go to this summer. I am going to the one in Charlotte less than 2 weeks after getting home from Ohio. I know the one at Carowinds the Drop Zone is designed more like the one that was at Six Flags KK....but does anyone have this crazy thought (other than me) that they are still not safe to go on? I know the people I am going with to KI are going on, but my aunt who I am going with to Carowinds hasn't been back on it since she was on the ride when it malfunctioned and they were stuck at the top. Its one of my fave rides, but I am so hesitant about it now.
  10. I want to get at least one of these while I am there, how much are they running now?
  11. I know the last time we went up to the zoo here in NC, I took my lil back pack with me and was able to put my purse, camera and such all in there. I know we are planning to go to the water park at KI and such...but I seem to remember there were places where you could put stuff like that if u'd wish to leave it there....am I wrong there?
  12. Dude KI had a ride like that, Flight Commander, especially if you control it, that won't be coming to KI again I don't think. I wouldn't ride it, no way!
  13. Well we have set the date in stone, depending on if my friend gets this day off or the 25th (she can only do 2/3 days of trips) and we are planning Kings Island for the first day, the Columbus Zoo/Water Park the next, and Cedar Point the 26th. That seems like alot in 3 days, but we are pressed for time. I leave the 18th from here and up there until the 29th. So reality I have the 19th-28th to do everything. Just curious if anyone else out of town is making the track into KI the 24th or 25th.
  14. Well if it was to happen, I hope it come when I will be at KI.
  15. Last summer at both CP and KI....I was around 200lb and didn't have many problems....I am a bit bigger than you are. But it was snug for me, I am big boned thats my problem....so I am broader. But I wish you the best on loosing that weight! Keep up the great work!
  16. My great-aunt was telling me that either Kings Island or Cedar Point one of the "big" attractions at the park is closed this summer? I think she said it was Cedar Point; but not sure. Its a roller coaster, thats all I know.
  17. Wow this helps for when I go with my 6 y/o niece cause there will be rides she can't go on, but I remember my cousin and her son standing in line with me on the rides that I wanted to go on and they just walked across to the other side and she stayed with him.
  18. I have been at Carowinds, Kings Island and Cedar Point when has has rained at each park.... Kings Island- the only thing open was Flight of Fear and we rode that over and over....I was in HS....probably back toward when it first open..it was pouring down rain and my school group wound up leaving early because of it. Cedar Point- raining....Magnum was closed everytime we went to get on it and so we rode Raptor and some other stuff that was under something Carowinds - ON A RIDE WHEN IT STARTED THUNDERING AND LIGHTNING! Was not scared at all, but we left after it started, we had been there long enough...sorry no help
  19. YAHOO FOR HAVING DATES! We will go on either the 24 25 or 26th of June....thats all I know....but its going to happen the week of the 23rd for sure! Can't wait for this trip! HAH!
  20. PKIDelirium...I see you live in Xenia. I live in Jamestown. I was in Xenia today when the "tornado" was in New Jasper! Dude, Xenia is just about the last place you want to be during a tornado warning. PKI - so true! My parents were in the 74 tornado....and my mom's friends parents live in Arrowhead Neighborhood where that big F5 touched down in 74 (where my parents lived when they first were married) they say they call out warnings like its chocolate!
  21. Deer- I am weak because I can't do one ride?! Did I mention I rode it like 3 times in a row before I got sick?! I don't see myself as weak, its only one ride at an amusement park out of what 30 that it happens on? I have never phsyically been sick on a ride before, just after.
  22. It looks like something like the upside down pirate ship (like at Carowinds) and I got pukingly sick on that ride and barely got off and to a bathroom before I got sick! I have to be careful on these type of rides, they are the only ones that have ever made me sick.
  23. Never went on Flight Commander....was in line when the lady fell to her death. Um anything that was there in the 80's and early 90's minus King Cobra, Days of Thunder...I wasn't tall enough to go on way back then. Edited To Say: Whatever that bungee like ride is that was over by SOB, they told me I couldn't ride it because I wasn't tall enough. I never since tried them at any other park. I think it was Extreme Flyer, I am 60 inches tall exactly and yet I was too short for that....yeah that makes sense to me.
  24. I never went on TR and I am assuming its now The Crypt....not 100% sure. But I watched a video on you tube about it and it said once you go so far you have to ride and the only way you get out of there, is riding the ride? WHAT THE HECK?! Please tell me that is not true. I am one of those people that tend to back out at the last minute.
