  1. So what happens if you are offered a custodian job for your first year? Do you take it and hope for a promotion the following year or take a pass?

Funny you say this. When I was a young boy Paramount owned the Island and I wanted to be in games. Well I did good in the interview bit not so good on the math test. I was quite upset. A few weeks later I get a letter in the mail offering to be a sweep. Well I was still upset and said no.

Flash forward a few years later and Cedar Fair owns the island now. I go to a job fair and get offered park services. I accept but not completely happy about it.

Worst decision I ever made was turning Paramount down for the same job.

  2. As little as a week before the park opened, Mr. Helbig was still telling the local press that no decision had been made.

And being a PR guy, he may be walking the fine official line right now. I personally believe that decision is made, has now been reviewed and agreed to with the new guy, but is just not ready for announcement yet - which leads me to beleive SBNO for 2012, construction area in 2013, new ride/attraction and update to AZ in 2014.

There are all kinds of reasons that a business would not want to announce plans too soon.

What a smart man Keith was. May he RIP

  3. Also I don't really like the name. They could have just called it Timber and I would have been fine with that.

I'm happy with the Creepy Buckeye theme. We Are eerie, and we live in a temperate rainforest. (When dealing with Londoners, I tell them I live around Wright Patt; they say "Hangar 18' before they say "Orville and Wilbur".)

I think it's grand. It represents us very well.

The POV can only show the eyes what to expect. Once we hop on, and fly by the trees, it'll be great. One of my favorite things about The Beast is tearing through the woods.

Look at Adventure Express- on paper it's nothing, but riding it is fun.

It's too early to ask the height requirement to ride it, but I'm hoping for it to be available for more kids than the more heavy duty coasters.

It will be 48 according to Don in an interview with KIC

  4. Sorry Colonel, when I go camping I don't have to have seen a raccoon "that day" to know if I don't clean up my site and secure my food that it will be gone before the night is done. So should the park ranger tell the campers " We have not seen any raccoons today so feel free to leave you food out and don't bother putting your trash in the dumpster before bed. Let me know if you see one. " ?

By that common sense then this family should know every body of water has gators

  5. But had that cast member seen them? Did they see them that day? If any of those are no then they are not lying and still broke company policy. If they had seen them and did nothing they broke standard operating procedures. Either way they are in the wrong and got what they deserved. As an college program participant they knew better and knew what would happen to them.

  6. It's all preserving the magic. Plus did you guys read the sign our just the headline? The sign told them to say "we haven't seen any yet but if you do let any cast member know and we'll let pest management know."

    That isn't lying to anyone.

Point blank she broke a company policy. She was rightfully termed, as cast members say. I don't think she deserved her job back.

  7. I disagree, I think she exposed Disney telling employee to mislead customers, Disney did the wrong thing by firing her when if they didn't listen to her to begin with. Given the recent death, Disney should not be telling their employees to tell the visitors such lies about gators.

I further believe that offering her job back was the right to do, she stood for her morals and the safety of others.

So should they tell kids that Mickey isn't real either? Or that tinkerbell doesn't actually fly during Wishes?
