  1. I know this is just a nother rumour and I don't claim to know anything offical but I rode the train today at KI and some people were on the train asking the attendant what was going on with TR and the attendant claim they were removing TR becuase its costing too much to run anymore.
  2. Again, Cedar Fair is in a transitional period so there is a lot of guess and test going on. The jacket thing is likely something that's out of Cedar Fair's hands. I'm sure they'd want nothing more than to get you your jacket at your convenience. Trust me, Cedar Fair has some big big big plans for the future. Just you wait. I know I shouldn't believe in the rumours but past history has been proving many rumours true, it was only last year when the rumour mill was about X-flight coming to KI. There was rumours about the G-trains now on SOB. Rumours about GL closing long before it did. The offical word always tends to be a day late and a dollar short! I know offically everyone hands are tied but it is kinda funny how rumours turn to truth. As far as G-trains being on The Beast, it is possible that they might smooth that ride out a bit, but I like it the way it is, it's my favorite woodie, and to me it should be left alone.
  3. I have my Cedar Fair VIP Jacket Voucher in my hand and it says... Jackets will be Available for pickup from 10am - 4pm Sunday October 28 thru Sunday November 11, 2007. I did call KI today, and as always there clueless. I don't know about you all but between this, talk about changing The Beast trains with Villians junk and the closing of GL has left a real bad taste in my mouth from this Cedar Fair Experince.
  4. I'm with ya I'm a hour away too. I'm calling them today and give them hell!
  5. I'll be there Sunday, but I'm there for the rides, I'll be there in the morning, anyone want to hook up let me know.
  6. I don't know about the maitenance stuff but ya I would of like to seen Dominator at KI, it overall was a really good coaster, my favorite at GL, I hope KD takes good care of her.
  7. Are you just as upset with the people that did not go to GL? I do have this wild idea that if people were going to the park, and CF was making money, then the decision to close would not have happened. I'm also sad about GL, but I was there 3 times this year twice on a Saturday in the summer and the only word I could use was it was dead. Even then most coasters only had one train running and even then they were walk on rides. Sadly most of this country is controled by the stock holders anymore, I even work for a company like that. Bottom line, they want there money to grow, they could care less what gets closed or what is made harder for employees, all they want is there money. I guess my opinion will depend on what happens to "The Dipper" at GL, something should be done to try to save that coaster, being its the oldest coaster in Ohio. As far as what I have seen them do to KI I'm somewhat please, just wish we get a another coaster, out of all the coasters at GL X-flight was my lease favorite, not a big fan of flying dutchman coasters.
  8. I couldn't agree more, America is expanding at a alarming rate, it would seem to me if the amusment parks are having attendance issues then maybe build coasters that big folks can ride. Their money is green as anyone else. Last I heard now over 60% of all American children are obese not just overweight. Maybe a few trips to the amusment park would burn some of that off but they won't come if they can't enjoy the major attractions.
  9. Believe it or not it has help me lose weight. 2 Years ago I went with some friends to CP for the first time and stuggled to get the seat belt on me on MF, at the time my weight was 240 bls at 6'2", I was pushing it. Well I love coasters so much that it gave me motivation to diet. 2 years later I'm down to 190 bls and still losing. I have no problems riding any coaster now.
  10. The employees are a little lame this year, but maybe it's becuase I'm getting older. Call me crazy but I just don't thing the 16 year old ride operator cares about my safety, ride loading times, or anything else of that matter but when there getting off from work and when there getting together with there friends. I know it's just a job, but come on. I know the amusment parks are in a stuggle here becuase you can't find seasonal help that is also good help. Raise a family and support yourself on a low paying seasonal job, it doesn't happen. My question is where does all this money go that these amusment parks see, think about it. All the parking, ticket sells, and the crazy food prices. Someone getting rich!
  11. I was there this Sunday as well. Coolest thing that happen on this trip was while I was standing in line for The Beast it had some issues and shut down. Well I was second to next for the ride so I decided to wait, being it seems usual for it to only be a few miniutes most the time. Well it was a little longer, longer then most wanted to wait so there was I with one train load of people. I was waitng for front seat and after the first train loaded, I was alone, seemed they didn't get the line open soon enough for I was loaded and out of the station before anyone else showed up. To make a long story short, I got my first completey solo ride on my favorite woodie. The ride operator made it even better when I came back and she said "Welcome Back Beast Rider!"
  12. I know we were talking about SOB here but one other thing about Flight of Fears mid-break. I been on it with light and heavy braking and I like it much more with the heavy braking, if you sit in the first seat on the left side of the train you get a killer view of the track work, it's my favorite part of the ride.
  13. Wasn't there talk for awhile about us getting another coaster too, I don't know about the rest of ya but some of us don't really get into getting wet. I think my best friend put's on a life jacket when he takes a shower!
  14. They where open all the way into the holiday last year weren't they. I was there with family Aug 26 2006 (I know cause I got a on-ride photo from that day) and I remeber spending some time in the water park.

I kinda like the trim brake on the helix drop, when you have a full train of people and the train just clears the brake it's like someone stepped on the gas petal as you enter the helix.
  16. Yes, I agree the best rides I had on that coaster, and it's one of my favorites so I have been on it a lot. We were the ones on the second train that got to get up front for the last ride of that train( I thank you big time who ever offered there seat to us, sorry I should of got your name). With all the lights out it was killer, and living up to it's name, which is how I think they should run it all the time. I do hope that if you guys plan on more events in the future where Beast ERT is part of it. It was a great way to end a killer day at my favorite amusment park. A week later and I'm still impressed with how KICentral pulled this event off, it may of been your first event but it seems to be run by pro's. Very well done.
  17. Inconsistent application of policies and/or wildly varying policy from park to park seems to be somewhat common at Cedar Fair (and at the old Six Flags, it was, too). See also loose articles policy, home park perks (such as gold pass perks vs. Joe Cool) with Maxx passes, parking with Maxx passes except at the home park, etc. I was at Cedar Point a few weeks ago and it started to rain, they closed all the coasters. I asked why Disaster Transport was shut down because it was only a drizzle and it being a indoor coaster and I was told by the girl out front, it's because there roof leaks real bad!
  18. Well I do know what your talking about cuase I'm there about every weekend and this Saturday was the first for me to get the black light treatment at KI this year.
  19. Uh I was there Saturday and they were using the black light.
  20. After this weekend I would think you will have many new followers. The Buddah has spoken!
  21. You can say whatever you want to, I have been involved in other kinds of group activites, other clubs even conventions(Not coaster stuff) and I thought you all were very organize, it all seemed very professional to me. 2 days later and I'm still buzzing from it, that's rare for me anymore!
