  1. I’m wholeheartedly on team Shooting Star now.... the layout for this coaster is kind of like a giant version of the old coaster from Coney Island. Out and back with a final helix before the break run.

  2. Maybe the theming for this is on a greater scale than we think.

Lets take a step back a winter or so ago. Wasn’t the word “giga” shoveled in the snow in view of the cameras at Mystic Timbers? Then there are connections between the lumber company and attractions throughout the chain?

Maybe the names Orion and Polaris are simply the names of the coaster cars on this new attraction and the “location” of where this coaster travels.

Even the FOF video states “come with us, follow our paths across the cosmos and discover that which lies beyond this mortal sphere”.

this attraction goes to the furthest reaches of the frozen universe and brings back all of the mysterious creatures that inhabit the CF parks, monsters and guests alike.

It travels at the “speed of light” and delivers the  aliens back to KI to be “delivered” to the other parks. After all, “outpost 5 is alive”.

  3. I like every park because of their uniqueness, not because of its rollercoaster selection. I’m hoping the new addition will bring overhaul to the x-base area. Perhaps a few new/used rides will pop up there. Btw. What if this is a first one of its kind rides? Floorless giga? Who knows. I’ll be excited if the teasers start popping up soon.

  4. Wasn’t there a picture or video way back when Firehawk was being deconstructed where a robotic hand similar to Vortex’s robotic hand grabbed track to pull it down and there was a maniacal laugh as it ripped the track down? Maybe that was a clue too.

What’s by it? I’ve never been to KD.

    Their FOF coaster.

Also, didn’t CW and Carrowinds get new themed areas along with a coaster? Why couldn’t a new themed area be called Polaris or Orion? (Both KD and KI are primed for a new themed area.

World's biggest meltdown when it's 324 ft tall

And an even bigger meltdown if it’s not a giga....

It’s quite possible that B&M might be commencing to improve Diamondback’s turn-around based on flags someone saw near there several posts back in the thread.

  7. Wasn’t there s short video or a picture during the deconstruction with a mechanical hand similar to Vortex’s robotic grip, ripping Firehawk apart? Perhaps that was the clue “it’s big” (the robotic hand) “and it’s gone” (Firehawk) all followed by a maniacal laugh.

  8. I’ve never understood why the park hasn’t taken advantage of selling ride related products near the exits of rides. I would think a small kiosk near the exits would make a lot of money. The Beast used to sell T-shirt’s etc at its exit. Diamondback does and Banshee used to. Even during Haunt they should be selling Haunt attraction related T-shirts.

  9. Just curious..... I remember last year that someone mentioned seeing Fred Grubb around The Racer and that started the “RMC Racer” frenzy before the announcement of the Antique Cars.... what if..... RMC is involved in this project? I know the paperwork stated B&M... but what if this is a collaboration. As I also recall, I believe there is an IIAPA interview somewhere with RMC that stated a major park would be getting the world’s first T-Rex giga rollercoaster. MAYBE this coaster is THE (RMC) T-Rex coaster with B&M designed trains?

  10. Very interesting. It looks like the tiny pond is missing in the top picture when compared to the bottom picture (there are two ponds and it’s not the obviously larger pond... it’s still there) it also looks like there are three spots, maybe soil sample areas?

I am not certain you understand just how far out the barn is located.  It is next to the boneyard which is beyond the back of where DA was located.  I cannot imagine the park would put a haunt that far beyond the edge of the park, or that they want guests out at the boneyard at all.

Woah.... misjudged distance and location for sure! However wasn’t that about where the Psychopath Haunt started .... years ago?

  12. I’m guessing the pole-barn structure is a new Haunt since it kind of appears to be directly behind the old DA entrance. It might even be where TR the Ride was initially supposed to go, pre-surveyed and all.
