  1. Thats great! So for licensing purposes, are we say that is just SpongeBob dressed up as barney Rubble for Halloween?
  2. My thoughts never been anything other than hope. As in, I hope they reopen it
  3. Someone on here posted a link a while back. I can't remember it exactly, but try this. Go to You Tube, enter race for your life charlie brown. You can watch that cartoon in about 6 or 7 different parts. just keep track of the poster that put it up, so you keep the sequence right time wise, and enjoy!
  4. I just want to throw this out there, and leave it up for debate. it has been mentioned several times that the ride has a reputation. Is that a bad thing? I mean, of course I don't speak for everyone, but a lot of the people I overhear at the park talking about it, mention the hundreds of people that have been killed on it, or the thousands of law suits that have been filed, or how your next ride may be your last The thing is though, there seems to be a sense of excitement while they're talking. Like the danger of riding is what makes it exciting. I can't help but think of the skeletons, and any news is good news mentality that the park took about it. Maybe if the ride can be fixed, and be safe in the parks opinion, then the fact that is "dangerous" may bring serious thrill seekers in to the park to ride it. Some will avoid it, but they are the ones that would come in anyways, and just not ride it. Just a thought.
  5. Manta!!! As long as all the themeing comes with it!
  6. So, if I go to Haunt, and decide to ride a few coasters, how many haunts can I realisticlly expect to get through? I will have to ride Racer, Beast, and Diamondback while I'm there. How many Haunts are there to go through. I want to go on a night that they are open until 1.
  7. I have a question about Haunt. First let me say, Ashers, great response. It was nice to read a real argument in favor of the Haunt, rather than a don't like it, don't go. The analogy I read, is about gore and blood being in an R rated movie is expected, so it should be expected at HH as well. I have read on KI's site that the haunt is for mature audiences. I think it's great that they put that on their website. No one should be able to go in, and say it was too much anything. My concern is more about being a parent. If I drop my car load of teenagers off at the movies, they can't get in to an R rated movie. If I drop off a car load of teenagers to HH, can they get in? If so, the R rating argument does not apply. I have no idea if they are carding kids, but if they are behind their stance that it is for mature audiences, they should be. Now if a parent decides to go through, either haunt, or a movie, they can make the choice about their kids going, letting the park off the hook. I love Halloween, I think it's a great deal to get all those haunts, plus rides for one price, instead of going to a local haunted house and getting one trip through for 12 bucks! I don't typically go to Halloween Haunt, but this year, I am considering taking my oldest daughter, for no other reason than to get a DB night ride, and a Beast night ride on the same visit. I also want to say, it was my fault for the other topic getting deleted. I don't want everybody getting on Ryan for deleting it, if they don't know why. I was upset about the profanity in one of the post's. I was thinking that it would lead to more obscene name calling, and causing the thread to spiral out of control, and causing hard feeling across the board. My thinking caused me to send a formal complaint about the use of language. I have a lot of friends that I have made on this site. We don't always agree on our views of the park, but through it all, we can remain friends after disagreeing. When the name calling starts, that can ruin friendships, and I would hate to see that happen here. So it was my fault the thread was deleted. If you must be mad, be mad at me.
  8. I would like to meet the Karate man that can break 6 or 8 2X8's stacked on top of one another. Wooden coasters don't break because the stress causes them to "flex", same as steel. I have been in the wood business for a long time, and take it from me. Enjoy the wooden coasters while you can. The cost, and supply of wood has increased so much, I would be amazed if anyone ever got close to reaching The Beast on length of track. It "wood" cost them a fortune to do that. Never say never, but it is really amazing how much wood has increased in price. Steel has went up dramatically as well, but I don't think it is quite as much. Plus you can do more with less, as far as steel goes.
  9. Maybe, BTW, if you look right behind the King Cobra, you can see the monorail for the Animal Safari crossing the bridge!
  10. sorry, sarcasm. I should have said, I am surprised that it was removed, due to it's popularity
  11. Very good! What fun it was to ride a log flume skimming around the tops of the trees! I like how the dolphins show was taken out even though, take a look around the arena. Not an empty seat in the place.
  12. Adventure Express and Kings Island were along the outside of the main gate area. The Tower was over by the carousel.
  13. There has been a lot of yelling, and arguing lately, myself included. I thought I would take a "time out", and look back at some of my older pictures. it was cool looking at how things used to be. Rides that are no longer around, and a big time new coaster that was quite a production when it was built! Nice and shiny. So everyone take a few minutes, enjoy, and remember that we all have a good time at the park, so there is no reason to yell about stuff outside of the park. 1990 1991 1993 Yep, I was young and stupid once too!!! LOL
  14. I don't know about that. I bet kids these days are more familiar with Snoopy than George Jetson, or Yogi Bear. Not Scooby and probably not the Flintstones though. Did you just say kids aren't familiar with Scooby-Doo? ... Nickelodeon still shows Rugrats re-runs on friday, saturday, sunday mornings.I dunno I'm kinda bummer about Spongebob leaving and I'm angry at the removel of scooby-doo my ''kids''adore scooby-doo it's gonna be hard telling them scooby-doo won't be at the park come spring 2010. I hope Planet Snoopy is done right...and I've been wondering what will take the place of my beloved SDaTHC? I hope it's a Snoopy dark ride..but my Cedar Point friends tell me Cedar Fair is cheap. Especially now, with a new Scooby movie coming out. Could have been a great chance for the park to enjoy the "boost" of Scoob's popularity with the movie.
  15. I guess I should have been a little more specific. I meant the lap bar restraints on SoB, and then on FoF once they were changed. I never rode FoF with the OTSR's, but I've heard plenty of horror stories about them. maybe they should be incorporated in to HH?
  16. I can't remember being uncomfortable on either ride. Maybe I am just "average man" that they modeled the whole restraint system by?
  17. I liked the original trains. It was the first time I had been on a looping coaster with just a lap bar.
  18. All I remember about theme on SoB, was a bunch of old animal cages that were busted open, and laying around. Was that it? Please enlighten us on what the story was.
  19. It was a scary ride, back in the day!!! LOL
  20. I would like to find a place to reinstall the taxi's. That was a nice, relaxing slow paced ride that the little ones could do. I miss it a lot
  21. LOL They are using the DB water dummies. They want to see which ones come back without heads!!!! I kid, I kid.
  22. I put depends what we are doing simply because most people on this site live in the Cincinnati area, and are therefore, Bengal fans. I would love a group trip somewhere, as long as it doesn't turn out to be a Bungles game! LOL
  23. Ummm.. yeah I was gonna say, Uncle Henry normally does this with either Survivor, or the Mole. And I'm sure, he's gonna get something going this year You better hope he doesn't let us both in. I'll be gunnin' for ya!!! I owe you one!
  24. I thought Delirium went in the space where Skylab used to be?
