They may have had to submit a color scheme to the builders before the licensing was finalized. Maybe they weren't sure that they'd get it in time, but then when they did, just did the best that could.

Also, Disney has had those characters from the begining. The tradition of the park is with them. Kings Island can't really say that they have a tradition. They change characters every 10 years or so. Except for Scooby....well, up til now anyways.

That is true. If things change, I hope they keep the fountain that currently has Spongebob on top of it. They can throw another character up there. It is a wonderful spot for a picture. Another thing they could do, is put one of Lucy's many 5.....see, thats how outdated this stuff is. I can't even find a (cents) button on my keyboard. Anyways, I was thinking a five cents stand over where the Mystery Machine photo spot is now. the kids can sit behind the stand, and take a picture.

I do think you are giving CF too much credit here though...I would settle for someone of The Easter Bunny's caliber...I think Snoopy is more along the lines of getting a quarter under your pillow on Christmas from The Tooth Fairy. I showed that page that circulated yesterday to my daughter. I told her that SpongeBob was moving out of Kings Island. Her FIRST response was, "Can we go see him at his new house"? It wasn't anything about, well who is that on there now? Who is moving to KI? What are their names? She didn't care. I am trying to carefully convey my disappointment, I am not going off on a whim and claiming I WILL NEVER VISIT ANOTHER Cedar Fair PARK AS LONG AS I LIVE!! That is not the case. We will still go to KI. We will have a good time. I will admit, my thoughts the last couple of days have been thought of worry. I saw what happened to the place up on the Lake a few years ago. I blamed Six Flags for that. I said that will never happen here. This year we have seen the Crypt go limp with no effort to make it better. SoB shut down for the season with no effort to fix it. Now the best kids area in the nation being stripped of it's licensing. Sound Familiar? I still don't see KI suffering the same fate as GL, it's laughable to think it....Isn't it? Hahaha....... But still. If I start to see something like Runaway reptar being moved to Kings Dominion because we have 4 coasters in kids land, and they only have 1, then I am really going to start to worry. In my mind, it's already been a long year away from celebrating the biggest coaster in KI history. Or am I supposed to just think of that, and ignore all the negative stuff that is happening all around it?

Maybe thats why I haven't noticed. My kid still watches cartoons. Although, we do watch iCarly too.

How do some people know right now that it will be lame? That is all I am wondering. I'm just trying to stay positive and have faith in the park, as we all should. I say lame because, well, it is. Nickelodeon is the best kids thing going right now. The only argument would be the BIG guys down in Florida, or California. By comparison to Nickelodeon, everything else is lame. Hey kids, it's December 25th, sorry, Santa needed too much money, so the Easter Bunny is gonna swing by, and give you some eggs instead. Now, maybe lame was a poor choice of words. The Easter Bunny is not lame, but he's no Santa either.

No, we are saying they don't want to. the same way you would not want to accept one of your favorite areas of a park to be gutted, and replaced with something lame.

LOL, an official announcment hasn't even been made about it yet, but it's already getting tiring. Yes, kids will flock to any character walking in the park. No, Snoopy has no relevance whatsoever to kids. This is a money move, plain and simple. It has nothing to do with making Kings Island a better park. Everyone that keeps saying it doesn't matter, get over it, it's not a big deal, you are wrong. to those of us with children, it is a very big deal. Associate it like this. Use your imagination. Cedar Fair announces that due to age, and cost of upkeep, the park has decided to tear down Millineum Force, and replace it with a B&M Hyper. It will have 10 drops, and a splashdown ending. We are going to call this new ride Diamond Back. Everyone gets upset about it, but then you have a few come on here and say. Why are you so upset? B&M makes great coasters. MF was a cool coaster, but it ran it's course. It's easier for CF to maintain these rides if they are all the same through all of their parks. Now, I know, thats a bit extreme. Point is, to those of us with children, taking away a great themed area, and then replacing it with a half-@$$ed version of one that is going to be in every other CF park is terrible. Make no mistake, it will be a half @$$ed version. With SoB not running, The Crypt on it's last legs, and 2 major coaster projects in other parks, how much money do you think is going to be leftover to retheme 3 parks in to camp Snoopy? Or how ever many parks it is. Now, I understand that a lot of people on here are young, and are mainly at the parks for the thrill rides. If that is case, just say that the kids area is really of no concern to you. Don't say that it doesn't matter, it matters a great big bunch! I have a feeling you may change your mind if you ride it. Close to the ground, whipping around the trees at speeds of 95 miles per hour. The landscaping flying past will make it feel like you are going much faster. I wouldn't write off 305 so quickly.

It will be neat to follow next years voting. Everyone has said that this year, not many great coasters were built. It will be between DB and Manta. According to what I've read on here. Next year though? 2 Intimidators being built by competing companies, for sister parks? This will be interesting to follow all year next year.

Back Lot can do it because of the extended time you forced down by spiral right after the launch. Diamondback has got me right at the bottom of the first hill. Not every time though, and not severe. On one trip this summer, I didn't drink enough water, and got dehydrated. That can intensify the feeling. I got very light headed and dizzy on Flight Deck, and then on Adventure Express as well. At that point, I knew there was something wrong, so I quit riding.

Wow! Should be mandatory viewing for all members of KIC!!!!! So much history, so many questions answered about the inspiration behind the different areas and rides. A few things were "skipped" over, but overall, I'd say it was a great movie.

not to mention the asian ones that scream profanities in their own language, while riding. rotag, who has experianced this first hand, and still laughs when he thinks about it. If they are screaming in their language, how do you know they are profanities? LOL

nope gotta have a blue ray player. I think the X-Box 360 has a blue ray player built in. Them or PS2. I know one does. If you are a gamer, check those out.

After watching several times. The POV video that is, the best element may be coming out of the Hammerhead, or turn around, or whatever you want to call it. It comes out of the turn, turns left, then right, real quickly, going under the supports. Head choppers delight!
