WindSeeker seemed to be running just fine during my visit in June. On a side note, Fury was incredible.

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
txdrummer replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
DOT limits the combined weight of truck, trailer, and load to 80000 lbs. -
I don't think the park will suspend operations for the new coaster as Racer, WindSeeker, and Vortex all remain open before and during the fireworks. Beast is the only one that suspends operations for the fireworks.

Thanks, I will be waiting patiently and watching the mail. -

Has anyone heard when the park might be mailing out the credentials and swag for those of us that opted for it? -
New Restaurant - Miami River Brewhouse (Replaces Reds)
txdrummer replied to Fye Coasters's topic in Kings Island
Not sure of any legal reasons, but the bar tenders were adamant about checking ID's and having any patrons under 21 not sit at the bar itself. However, they could sit at the tables within the bar area. -
New Restaurant - Miami River Brewhouse (Replaces Reds)
txdrummer replied to Fye Coasters's topic in Kings Island
As it is a brewhouse, I expect the bar to stay. I also expect to be able to walk right in to the bar (bonus that children can't sit at the bar), order a brew and have access to the full menu. Otherwise, meh. -

Link to purchase tickets is having some issues according to the park. EDIT 02/07/19 Link seems to be working now. Ticket purchased with no issues. -
Face Your Fears (Flight of Fear 1996 commercial)
txdrummer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island History
I had similar experiences with Mr. Freeze at SFOT. It was delayed into the next season if I remember correctly. I agree with the sentiments for the OTSR removal in favor of the lapbar. -
Wow. Great to see that others are making the same trip I have been planning since November. June is when I am going to visit Carowinds for the first time ever and then Kings Dominion for the first time since Twisted Timbers opened. I am really looking forward to Fury 325.

Years ago my daughter and I were in the park and after buying lunch and scanning Gold Pass we 'earned" a free ride for 2 on the Go-carts that have since been removed. Just little things like that and discounts for food and games. I "earned" a free flight on EXtreme Skyflyer once, that was cool.
-
I would like to see a larger/smarter labor pool to hopefully improve food service throughout the park.
-
Probably not. In which case I would ask for no inversions on a giga. I much prefer the comfort and open feeling provided by the standard B&M clamshell restraint across the lap.

Coasterstock 2019 - May 17th & 18th

Hope these dates stay in place, I already have that weekend off, and I am looking forward to what is sure to be an amazing event. -
^ I agree on the red coaches. Then again I am not a big fan of the color green.

^Death before disco. The classic rock on Racer radio is better suited for Coney Mall, in my opinion.
-
Racer radio playing through out Coney Mall would be an excellent addition. The Racer is afterall the centerpiece of Coney Mall, is it not?
-
^Chalk dust is easily spotted. I joke but about 10 undercover plain clothed security personnel roaming the park and ride lines would go a long way. Perhaps there already are and we don't know it, which is a very good thing.
-
^Sounds like the perfect job to me. Where do I apply?
-
Carowinds is definately on the list of parks that I must eventually visit.
-
Drastically increase the price and reduce the time they are available for purchase. Thereby fewer are sold without hurting the profit for the park. I think we all remember the fiasco at the 2017 Gold Pass Preview night. Clearly too many gold passes are being sold or they are priced way too low.

I would love to see an S&S Screaming Swing similar to Skyhawk at Cedar Point but without all the downtime.
