  1. You can probably find quite a few here: http://www.themeparkbrochures.net/
  2. Incredible idea J.D. I really wish you well on this, as I think you really have something here. Cool cool cool cool cool cool stuff.
  3. Why should the people that pay more for passes not be able to take a faster route? Pay the price for the pass, get through the line faster. It's their decision to spend money on the passes, and if trying to get through the park quickly or not wanting to wait in line, can come in handy. The people who spend their hard earned money to get into the park can also use their hard earned money to purchase a fast pass and, while it might not seem fair, it's their money they're spending.
  4. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe both Mrs. Puff's Boating School and an Addams Family dark ride were both ideas tossed around by Paramount before deciding on IJ:ST. EDIT: If you're interested about The Addams Family ride, there was some great discussion on this website back in 2005. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=active&biw=1280&bih=933&q=+site:KICentral.com+addams+family+dark+ride+kings+island Also on Mrs. Puff's Boating School: https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&site=webhp&source=hp&q=site:KICentral.com+mrs.+puff's+boating+school&pbx=1&oq=site:KICentral.com+mrs.+puff's+boating+school&aq=f&aqi=&aql=1&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=5648l6022l1l6461l4l3l0l0l0l2l242l636l0.1.2l3l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&fp=638562478932eb61&biw=1280&bih=933
  5. Maybe a fix to that real SOB at Kings Island? Also, I noticed that they installed the topper track on Tremors. I wonder how that effects that ride experience, as it ranks highly on my favorite coasters list.
  6. Thought I'd post some of the general park map improvements I noticed on Saturday while comparing the regular season map to the Haunt map For one, "trees" have been added throughout the entire map! Before: After: Also, further detail has been added to the coaster tracks, such as "rails" and a little bit of shine. Maybe it's just me, but I also believe that Vortex is darker than it is on the current map. Dark blue paint job, anyone? Before: After: Finally, the loop has been added to Invertigo. Thank goodness Before: After: All in all, while I did like the park map from the regular season, I think these small added details make it look much nicer. Let's just hope they keep these improvements for next year's map
  7. While in line for Massacre Manor Saturday, a couple who had a few too many drinks asked me which haunts I preferred. After telling her about Urgent Scare and Tombstone TERROR-tory (don't judge) they asked which one was in the queue line for The Beast. I sighed.
  8. When I visited the park on Saturday, I saw the bulldozers getting ready to start working. As melancholy as the end of the season is, it's always exciting to watch the progress of a new ride being constructed!
  9. Great trip report! Rainy days are sometimes the best days to go to the park as there are no crowds at all! Glad you and your family had a good time!
  10. Yes, a thread on this topic is already being discussed here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24014&pid=431464&st=15entry431464 Next time simply try using the search function in order to find out if a topic is already being discussed or not. We'd love to see your input!
  11. As Terp said, do not miss out on Zambia Smokehouse. Best food in the park in my opinion.
  12. Yes, the seats do appear to be large rider friendly. Kings Island just tweeted a photo stating "Guests are enjoying the new 301' tall WindSeeker ride today at Kings Island." A picture was also posted giving us a very nice view of the seats, and they look fairly roomy.
  13. It doesn't look like it's on the website yet. Give it a few hours and go back to this page below: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/fun/webcams/index.cfm
  14. Is sitting at home an option?
  15. Awesome PTR, Ty! Glad to see you enjoyed your experience at Dollywood!
  16. New picture @KingsIslandPR just posted on twitter!
  17. An example of a "real" 4-D attraction- the old ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter attraction at Magic Kingdom. If comparing to this, I would not consider Spongebob to be a 4-D ride, but a 3-D attraction whose seats just happen to move. EDIT: I just realized that the video doesn't do this much justice, but for whoever did not get the chance to ride this great attraction, you could feel the breathing and drops of saliva of the monster as he "moved" around the room. It was a really thrilling experience.
  18. A separate company owns the Spongebob movie you see in the Action Theater, so even though they got rid of the rest of their Nick themeing, they were not forced to get rid of the Spongebob movie. If the movie is still attracting customers and guests still enjoy it, there is no reason for them to purchase a new movie. We have to remember that we as enthusiasts make up an incredibly small percent of the guests that Kings Island sees every day. While our opinion still matters to them, they are trying to please the general public, not the enthusiasts. If the public is happy, the park is going to continue to do what they are doing.
  19. Sorry if this one has been posted already, but I searched and didn't find anything. I hope this one is an April Fool's joke... http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2011-04-01/business/os-seaworld-sued-revere-entertainemen20110331_1_jungala-seaworld-orlando-sea-carousel
  20. Orlando United posted another nice-sized photo update as well: http://www.orlandounited.com/2011/03/28/cheetah-hunt-construction-update-2/ As did Johnnyupsidedown: http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/cheetahunt7.html
  21. Who says they won't? There's nothing out there saying that they won't redo the ride and add crazy banked turns and completely change the layout. Heck, if Son of Beast does re-open, it may not be the same ride at all!
  22. It's nice to see that construction is finished! I plan on making a trip to the Gardens next week over spring break, so I will be sure to get some construction pictures and hopefully have a nice update for you all!
  23. New twitter update! "Make no bones about it, something big is coming to #KingsIsland. Details 3-18-11. www.visitkingsisland.com" - @KingsIslandPR
