  1. Two things: 1.) Maybe this is a tad far-fetched, but if this is a dino trail or something along those lines, could this be added to compete with the Creation Museum a few miles away? One of the main themes in the Creation Museum are dinosaurs/ancient reptiles and it features very large walk-throughs and sculptures. While the two may not even be in the same business, it's something to think about. 2.) In the background of the new teaser subsection of the website, I noticed it looks much like a swamp, as do the pictures posted in the photo gallery. Could this be an alligator/crocodile themed ride? Or maybe I'm just crazy.
  2. As said before, pack as lightly as possible and wear cargo pants/shorts with deep pockets. Carabiners are an excellent idea for small items such as kees and cell phones. I've never lost any items on a ride by using this kind of system. It's super effective!
  3. This one was actually really tough for me. I was stuck between Raven and Voyage. I just love Voyage an unhealthy amount, but my last few rides on it made me feel like my spine was being ripped out of my back. I can only ride it in the first few rows without having that feeling! But those first few rows are great! Raven is just plain fun. This is the coaster that proves to me that you don't have to have a 150 ft.+ tall roller coaster to have a top ten roller coaster. It was also one of the first few wooden roller coasters I've ridden, giving it some sentimental value. Good poll!
  4. ^That's what I thought. Also, at the end of clip one, I believe I see an inversion at the far right corner... hmm...
  5. The third video is unlocked, and the codeword is "grace" All I can say is, wow. While it may look unusual, it still looks like a blast. Here's what the element looks like from the side:
  6. I have a feeling this ride's initial fan reaction will be, "it's a less exciting, less intense Maverick," just by judging the initial POV. Let's not forget what happened to Intimidator 305, now...
  7. I think the green track blends quite nicely; I believe the track is supposed to be like the tall grasses you see in the African Savannah, and the trains will look like actual cheetahs, sort of how Diamondback's trains look like snakes.
  8. I wish this could have been salvaged. Easily the best dark ride I've been on.
  9. Interpret this one how you will. This is one of the big downfalls of Paramount, however, was that the park was continuously nasty every time I went while under Paramount Parks. While I don't know about pre-2003, every time I went or my parents went we would always come back complaining about how nasty the parks were.

    HH 2010

It looks like a pretty interesting haunt! I'm excited to experience it!
  11. Actually, I really believe a new kids attraction of some sort would be really good for Holiday World, especially for families with small children. Look at it; they're competing with Kings Island; home of one of the best (if not the best) kids areas in the nation, and Six Flags St. Louis; while they may not have one of the best areas in the world, they do have a much bigger kids' area than Holiday World does. Also, we have to remember that Holiday World appeals to families, not just thrill seekers. Honestly, when was the last time the little kids got something big?
  12. I don't really collect a lot, but I do have quite a few postcards and park maps. I also try and get a t-shirt or sweatshirt from every park I go to.
  13. "I'm gonna remember this day forever, daddy!" Nothing else needs to be said.
  14. This comment on Facebook sort of made me disappointed. "The only piece left of this memorable roller coaster is in the way of our supposed new rides!"
  15. This one caught me off guard. I'm not sure how things are in Kentucky, but here in Indiana, the Midway is a pretty large reason as to why the fair attracts so many people year after year, among other things. I personally believe this would contribute to a fairly large drop in attendance. I, for one, had never been to SFKK, but I would imagine it would draw sizable crowds around state fair time, especially with it being part of the midway.
  16. I'm pretty pleased with the website itself, actually. It's navigation isn't confusing and is very aesthetically pleasing. Whoever the graphic designer(s) was/were did a good job with this site! It is interesting that they would create a new website layout a few months after releasing new websites for many of the parks. It makes me wonder if this will eventually be the layout for the rest of the websites or not.
  17. Also, there haven't been any pictures of clearing (that I've seen) that would hint to a new coaster.
  18. It's probably under construction for the new Haunt site this year.
  19. ^ I agree. I remember being in line for Urgent Scare last year with two kids who couldn't have been older than 12, with no parent/guardian nearby. They ended up going into the maze with us. Maybe I'm just totally missing something, but why doesn't Kings Island warn people more that Haunt is not a place for kids? Maybe they do and I just miss it, but I never see enough enforcement about age-appropriateness. Or maybe there is plenty and guests just completely blow it off.
  20. Welcome! If I were in your situation, I would probably not take a ten year old to Haunt. It is scary. It is a lot of fun, but if your child is scared easily by things such as; people jumping at you, blood, gore, etc., then I would definitely not take her. I would probably not recommend it for kids 12 and under, actually.
  21. Seems like it! Things come and go I guess.
  22. Which is the reason why 5@5 was such a brilliant idea. It gave the park guests/fans a way to communicate their stresses, concerns, and ideas. It's really a shame that such a great program had to be taken away. It was a great way to contact the park about things guests cared about. Things come and go, I guess.
  23. My friend yesterday said, "Let's see, I went to the state where Kings Island is at. It's in Kentucky right?" Sigh.
