  1. After delaying my response. I think it's safe to say that it will make an impact.
  2. If we did get an LED strip and it is like Fury325, then it will be ON the catwalk, facing the park. We've seen pictures with lights on the lift that resemble the standard catwalk lighting as seen on Diamondback, however. [for Orion] 325 does appear to also have the more standard lighting for evening evacuations/ maintenance but.. I'm not certain.
  3. Not before the I-street widening, I imagine :p
  4. You had me until "keep the classic feel" haha. Vekoma has been doing anything but 'classic' in the way I think you mean. Vekoma would be a strong choice. I have heard good things about their rebirth in Europe the past few years. Looks to achieve many inversions, strong air, and exciting layouts all with smoothness and no headbanging
  5. I'm guessing largest investment plan doesn't mean a long-term plan like that time they announced they had plans to use 100 million for the next (x) years for new additions.. I'm guessing stuff like that doesn't count as a single plan this time. Wildwood being 37$ million, I wouldn't count out a huge coaster like a giga, or an incredibly immersive indoor attraction. I hope it lends well to get KI to step up their creative juices. I've been waiting for the next big Dolly announcement to have a big reason to return to the park! Love the place already~
  6. My eyes are drawn also to that triangular patch between the final helix, the drop and the last camelback
  7. Man nothing makes me miss trees quite like a new B&M coaster at a Cedar Fair park XD
  8. I really hope they let some trees grow between the first drop and the return-trip airtime hill *cross fingers*
  9. Oh man! If only our coaster was green, I'd be down!
  10. I'm a little confused why we need this thread. At this point, it's going to keep causing duplicate posts in two different places IMHO.
  11. After a quick google, that was a nice chuckle. Thanks guys!
  12. Coool, it's like with these exclusively close shots, the park made those random drone photographers lose their novelty because now the news has drone footage that's arguably better :p
  13. As Baconator mentioned, they could use it for anything. I wouldn't be surprised if they use those for BTS Orion tours in addition, or instead of the main access road they just paved. I would love to see footage from those types of vantage points since this coaster is entirely away from walkways during summer season~
  14. Yikes. If this wasn't done with permission (I'd be surprised), then I hope they called the police on them and tried to follow the drone to its landing or something.. They're flying incredibly close to the park's coasters and tower.. This wouldn't fly if someone did this on my property. That said, I think it'll be when I'm on the ground in front of the Juke Box diner that it'll feel the most weird to not see Vortex.
  15. They still haven't done a wave turn. What dimension am I in? lol
  16. Heck I'll take a new Vekoma after what I've seen from them! :p I just hope whatever it is, it's got lots and lots of inversions!
  17. The best part of the ride, is the last to go, it seems..
  18. Let's go for another inversion record. 20 inversions. Not too much to ask for.
  19. Excited to see this thing moving! Looks like we'll have a smooth debut with no delay. Funny that I saw someone guessing we were a several weeks out from testing just a night or two before the park posted the footage :p
  20. Yep. Sometime between 9 and 9:15 am. It's a very small section for those wishing there was a picture. Not much to notice unless you're on weatherbug itself.
  21. It's going to hurt more, for me, to stand where the batwing was and not see 6 inversions nor my favorite drop in the park.. Luckily Orion should end up a great first drop as our first truly steep first drop. (Diamondback is debatable :p)
  22. I'll will be pleasantly surprised if they have anything in the old Vortex plot for 2020. I personally think the footers won't be removed till they start building for the next thing.
  23. Looks like two of the trains have the same color of.. middle spine? So, not sure the color distinction between there. BUT the far right (ours) train has a lighter blue (teal) spine peaking out.. which is different than the one we've seen already. Edit- in person. Im not referring to the animations. Where we have seen a teal spine.. just trying to avoid being quoted.
