  1. Also, if you purchase your one day ticket after 3pm your ticket is good the next day as well. That way you can spend 1.5 days at the park, and with all the fantastic shows you really need the much time. Heres a link to my TR from this April Fantastic park, you should really check it out.
  2. Hypertension is a heart problem and most people have no idea they have it. Also it takes multiple doctor visits to be properly diagnosed with it.
  3. Big Bird enjoys beer, Shamu and Clydesdales so he hangs out at the Busch parks. As for Barney, please merciful lord no!
  4. Thankfully my parents are enthusiasts too, but not as much as me . I only have my trusty Platinum Pass this year, but Ive made it to HW, DW and Noah's Ark (waterpark) in additon to CP and KI so its been a good year. I also will have one more trip to HW this fall and if all goes according to plan Ill end my season at Valleyfair! and Nick U @ MOA and who knows depending on where my football team goes for a bowl, Disneyland and Knots is a possibility. Next year Disney World and Universal are in the cards, in addition to KI and CP. I will also be moving somewhere next year, so if its not Ohio Ill go to that park too. That said, when I was in high school except for the big 2 week summer vacation road trip (to cities, national parks, historic sites and amusement parks) I got maybe one trip to SFGAm (lived in WI) and Noah's Ark a year. When you get your own money its amazing how many more parks you start visiting.
  5. ^Eh what can I say. Thanks to Coastermania this year having a certain beloved hyper coaster as the only ride open during its ERT slot this year I was not able to replicate my 15 rides in a row this year. Im hoping that with TTD being open and the fact that Platinum Pass holders will have more GP then a coaster event will combine for me being able to match and/or beat that record on Thursday. Either way though, I cant wait, those ride nights are usually a blast either way, provided the ride doesnt break down during them (yet another reason I wont be going on TTD during the ERT unless of course its still open after the 20 year old dream machine closes) .
  6. So how much is my free: -Diamondback 1st Rider -Firehawk 1st Rider -Maverick 1st Rider -2009 Coastermania T -2008 Coastermania Hoodie worth? Who had to take it further since giving away a 12 oz cup of Pepsi is pretty close to nothing (in fact I bet HW might even get thier Pepsi for free given all the Pepsi logos over that park.) I dont know its pretty easy to guess the quality of a T-shirt, feel the thickness of the cotton, if its thick its a quality shirt, thin not so much, if you can see through it when held up to the light well that would be a POS thats about to fall apart the first time you wash it .
  7. Not only is there one this Thursday but its the best one of all: TTD and some other ride, no one really wants to ride it though, its somewhere right by TTD, and it goes along the Lake... So, go and enjoy TTD, yeah, go enjoy the big hill Ill be there that night but will be somewhere else.... Im also glad I wont have to work on Friday which will be good because odds are I wont be able to walk .
  8. So they are doing what CP does. Except CP is after 5pm. This isnt giving away the gate, its a way to keep the park full of people through closing when the people who have been there since opening start to leave.
  9. ^Glad I knew that one, so much for hoping this would be a non crowded Saturday. That is the only weekend I can go to KI for the Haunt (due to football games and going to CP the other weeks ) so it looks like my plan to go on Friday, go to an enthusiast event on Saturday at Holiday World, and then "mop up ride/last ride of the season victory lap" on Sunday was the correct choice. Ill gladly pay for one extra night in a hotel knowing that one.
  10. ^^They will on the 26th, according to the calendar that Sat. they will have the normal Friday hours (7-1am) due to a buyout earlier in the day.
  11. On that front, I remember Massacre Manor's front being up all year last year, and this year it isnt. Perhaps its a sign that that house is being redone this year?
  12. Must do night rides: -The Beast (be aware the ride temporarily closes at 9:45 for the Fireworks and reopens afterwards, if you are in line by 10 if the park closes you get to ride) -Diamondback Non Coaster Rides you should check out: -Delerium (Huss Giant Frisbee) -Scooby Doo (Sally Interactive Dark Ride) the wait even if full is <30 min -Avatar (Disk-O Coaster) -White Water Landing (Intamin Raft Ride) its in the woods, its long and its fun -Do not ride the Crypt (neutered Huss Top Spin) Boomerang Bay: -If you do this park, either do it right when it opens or come around 2-3 to avoid the peak crowds -Ride Coolingada Racer (Proslide Racing Mat Slide) -Ride Tazmanian Twister (Proslide Tornado Slide) -Ride the Body Slides by the enterance (all 5 of them they are great) Suggested Morning Itinerary: -If you are a Platinum Pass Holder you get 30 min of ERT on Sun-Fri, 1 hour on Sat on Diamondback and The Beast, do these then if you have the pass -Ride Firehawk -Ride Flight of Fear -Ride Invertigo -Ride Drop Zone -Ride Delerium After that you have just hit the major bottlenecks, enjoy the rest of the park provided you get Firehawk, FoF, Invertigo, Drop Zone and Delerium you have just hit these rides without long lines doing the rest of the park should be no problem.
  13. Personally my favorite car is 8-2.... on Diamondback. I will never understand peoples fascination with this Arrow headbanger, but that's just me .
  14. Exactly the rule is that you can get a new fastpass when your window for riding starts or 2 hours later, what ever comes first.
  15. Well the last time I was there I got on Diamondback 3 times (twice without getting off) and a 3 ride marathon on The Beast all before 10am.
  16. You can be dizzy for many reasons, as some have mentioned dehydration and a "vasovagal" reaction are fairly benign but it can also be a sign of heart trouble or head and neck artery problems. This kid was transferred to Cleveland so odds are its more likely due to something serious (Firelands could easily treat dehydration, etc.) so I would not be so callous. However, odds are the ride was not the cause of his problems.
  17. Your first goal should be to get a night ride on The Beast. Your second goal should be to get a night ride on Diamondback.
  18. There is no doubt that MK ERT is fantastic, especially if you realize that 90% of the people are going to hit Tomorrowland. Go instead to Fronteirland and you should be able to marathon the BTMRR and Splash Mountain as much as you want after the first hour. Also, if you go to Fantasyland at the end of the night you can walk on to Dumbo, and quite possibly get to ride with a character, thats what happened to my family the last time we were there. It was July 2nd at 3 am and Dumbo had a mix of teens and adults, two chipmunks, a dog, a female mouse and a duck with not a little kid in site. Such good memories.
  19. They didnt want to shell out $ to MGM to keep the marketing agreement, boy what other park is about to do the same thing???
  20. Plus you defiantly violated a core Disney Park rule: Never, under any circumstances, miss a night show.
  21. Universal is a fantastic park, just be sure to spring for the 2 park ticket because you will just be wishing you could ride the rides in the other park if you dont. Must rides at USO: -Revenge of the Mummy -MIB: Alien Attack! -Jaws -T2 -ET Adventure (trippy) -Simpsons, havent ridden this one myself but heard good things Mus rides at IOA: -The Amazing Spiderman (whatever you do, ride this, no matter the wait at least once) -The Incredible Hulk -Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls* -Popeye's Bilgerat Barges* -Jurassic Park River Adventure* -Dueling Dragons -Cat in the Hat *You get wet on these rides but they are some of the best examples of their rides anywhere
  22. ^Chlorine is a wonderful chemical. I also despise being soaked, which is why I make sure I wear a swimsuit when I do a ride like that and bring a change of clothing (and if I know a shower is available stuff for that too) for when Im done.
  23. To give two examples, I went to Holiday World and KI the last two days. HW has much cheaper prices then KI, because of those cheaper prices, I loaded up and spent about $20. When I went to KI, partially because of they dropped the wrist band drinks (never bought soda the whole day, there goes $10 from me right there) and partially because a "meal" (read pizza/sandwitch and fries) costs close to $10 I ended up only getting one meal and a snack for a total of $15 dollars. Pricing is seriously out of whack at all CF parks, its one of the reasons their per cap was down last year. The park needs to find someway, wither its a flat season pass discount on food (like Busch and Herchland parks) making the meals more of a deal or offering some sort of meal package to get people to spend more.
  24. Coolingada Racer, pure fun, be sure to lift up your mat when you exit out of the curvy portion into the straight drop area to pick up speed, win the race, and travel down the slowdown area as far as possible. Whatever the slides are right by the train that are twisted around each other.
  25. Before I forget them, heres the HW spiels: Many have traveled from far and wide, to laugh and scream on the Pilgrim's ride. Now its time to sail away, your Voyage begins with out delay! Laugh and scream your heads off and don't ask why the Headless Horsemen might pass you by. As you travel along that twisted track, whatever you do DONT LOOK BACK! Its purple, its fast, its really a blast! Enjoy your ride on the Legend! You cant run, and you cant hide! So just sit back and enjoy your ride, on the Raven!
