  1. I am getting this info from rides maint.... TR blew a motor and the only way to get to it is to remove the themeing. There is no major changes that will happen to TR. It will be nice to get the ride working correctly again. I rode it earlier this summer and there was no audio and I heard a woman yell out, "Oh s---!" and heard all kinds of change and what not hitting the ground. Priceless!
  2. Think of this as well.... you would also have to set aside times for the maint. people to inspect the rides. Might as well just close as usual.
  3. Don't belittle someone. We all have a story here and TomKatt was just sharing theirs.
  4. I don't think i would put an age limit on it. As a parent, you should know what your child can and can't handle and also what you want them to handle. I have seen younger children do fine so far at Halloween Haunt and I also have seen a few not make it past International Street before hiding in The Emporium and have to have Park Police come and take them to the front because they were too scared to come out of the lighted store (true story). If the haunts are a little too extreme for the kids, think of it this way.... You don't have to go into the Haunts if you don't want to. You can ride the rides all night. Yes there may be some monsters running around the areas, but they can be avoidable.
  5. Not a good idea.... I could see staying open later than 10 like in years previous, but have fun trying to staff the park. My suggestion for you is, if you want to stay at Kings Island as late as you can, get into the Firehawk line just a minute or two before 10 since the rides people aren't allowed to close the lines till whenever close is that night. There were still guests in the park as of 2:30am on Saturday. Could you imagine if you went into Macy's a couple minutes before close and stay for an hour and a half after closing time?
  6. You won't see the Nick change anytime soon. Think of it this way.... would kids of today rather see Spongebob or Snoopy? Keeping the licensing for Nick would be a great investment for CF. Though I loved Snoopy as a child, they need to attend to the children of today. Also, don't forget to throw Scooby-Doo in the mix. I say he stays just do to the tremendous popularity of people of all ages. I bet the only people that aren't fans of Scooby are the Kings Island First Aid folks. The music is loud and I am sure they hear the music in their sleep.
  7. It doesn't work that way. If you were being threatened I wouldn't let that person go either. No matter if you hate me or not.
  8. Exactly. So the mom is going to waste her time with a civil suit.
  9. The real story of this is..... Fisher did do the E-stop. The ride sup tried to speak with Fisher but Fisher said he quit and left the ride. The ride sup followed Fisher towards the Operations Building and Fisher was cursing and threatening the Sup the whole way and so the sup radioed security. Park Police responded and found Fisher and the sup and heard Fisher threatening "I am going to punch you!" Park Police told Fisher to come with them to the security office and Fisher went with them. Once inside the security office, Fisher was placed in an interview room and Park Police attempted to get Fisher's information which he did not want to give. Fisher tried to leave the interview room but since he was involved in a crime (menacing, meaning a threat of physical violence to someone) he was not allowed to go. Park Police told Fisher to sit down but he would not and kept trying to leave. Fisher was told he was under arrest and to put his hands behind his back but would not. Park Police tried to physically place his arms behind his back but Fisher would not comply. Fisher was taken to the ground where Fisher kept his arms close to his body so that Park Police could not put his arms behind his back. Park Police took out their pepper spray (known as OC to some) and threatened Fisher numerous times that they would use it if he would not place his arms behind his back. Fisher did not comply and was pepper sprayed in the face and became quickly compliant. Park Police called first aid who assisted Fisher in cleaning himself up.
  10. The blonde lead in Dead Awakening is Natalie Gibson. Very talented.
  11. I doubt that they take a ride like that out. One of the easiest way to cool off when it's 90plus outside is to go stand on the bridge and get soaked. Why take anything out right now when you have space to add?
