  1. As far as people calling it Spider, I would imagine that is it because just about every County fair or carnival I've ever been to with a ride like the Monster calls it the Spider.
  2. Looks like you had a fantastic time! I especially liked the close up photo of the GE Airplane Engine. I X-ray and serialize the individual turbine blades that they are built from. It is neat to see one assembled and installed!
  3. What roller coaster in your opinion had its best year ever? I would have to say Firehawk, because it was new to the park What thrill ride in your opinion had its best year ever? Delirium What restaurant had the best food? I am going to have to say LaRosas, but I never eat anywhere else in the park. I like their pizza that much! What crew/area was best? The Beast. Hands down the smoothest operating crew I have seen on any of my trips there. Did Son of Beast have its Best Year Ever? explain why or why not. It wouldn't be fair for me to answer this one as I didn't have the chance to ride it this season. What new show in 2007 was the best in your opinion? I didn't catch any shows, but from what I have heard Dead Awakening was pretty awesome What was the best thing that happened this year at Kings Island? For starters, there's Firehawk, but I also have to say that the park looked absolutely fantastic compared to years past. What change from 2006 to 2007 was the best? Firehawk Did Kings Island Central have its best year ever? I wouldn't say Best Year EVER, but probably Best Year So Far!
  4. Thanks so much! I suppose if I had looked a little harder on their website I could have found that out myself, but I do appreciate your help!!!
  5. What a fantastic post! I guess I never really thought about how coasters were made before they were able to plan everything out on computers. Think of the people who were the very first to test ride these old coasters. I would be afraid!
  6. Last season I purchased season passes for my boyfriend and I. Due to our working situations (Mandatory weekend OT, etc.) I only got to use mine once, and his never got used. I plan on purchasing one for myself for the 2008 season, thats no problem. We should be able to spend a lot more time at the park this year. My question is this: I thought I read somewhere that unused season passes could be transferred for the next season for something like 50 bucks. I just wondered if this was in fact true? Also, how would he need to go about doing this? We live about 3 hours from the park, so I don't want to make a special trip unless I absolutely have to. Thanks in advance for your help!!
  7. Staffing and cost and practical issues aside, I would LOVE it!!!! In fact, I would just live there if I could! LOL!
  8. I started visiting the park when I was 12 (I am now 24). I am used to seeing Paramount all over everything at Kings Island. This year when I visited the park I thought the park logo looked somewhat naked without the Paramount on it. It made me somewhat sad. I just hope that Cedar Fair makes good improvements in the park in the upcoming seasons. I can get used to the "naked" logo.
  9. If it is just one person going ahead in the line I don't mind so much, especially if I saw that person leave the line previously. What really annoys me is when 4-6 people shove through rudely and join 1 or 2 people almost at the front of the line. This happened to me while waiting for Firehawk. I would have told, but they had already ridden by the time I got to the front of the line.
  10. I totally agree with you on cleaning the TVs in the queues. Hopefully they will get to it before opening day!!!
  11. Twice... but I would have been there a lot more if I hadn't been placed on mandatory weekend overtime ALL SUMMER! I plan on scheduling vacation days around KI trips for the 2008 season, especially since my niece finally broke 48"!!! She's never been and I look forward to sharing the experience with her!
