  1. I rode Dominator at Geauga Lake and had a similar experience that you did. In the back it felt like a typical B&M looper (which I tend to not overly enjoy), and in the front it rattled me pretty darn hard.
  2. How the heck is Diamondback rough...IN ANY SEAT?! It's like people have already forgotten about Son of Beast! A job well done, Kings Island!
  3. I think you might be taking this hobby a little bit too seriously..... :/
  4. Man, if I had a dollar for every time "X-Works" gets brought up when a new B&M is being built, I'd have several dollars.
  5. (Trying to avoid a zero-word post...)
  6. Welp, there we have it folks. The truck dumping soil in the first pic pretty much confirms a looping giga.
  7. And that B&M managed to squish Leviathan's station and transfer track/shed into a rather small area: http://leviathan.canadaswonderland.com/_upload/galleries/construction_gallery/2012%20September%2025%20005.jpg
  8. I dont think the tree "break" in the land means anything. If it's a steel coaster it'd be pretty easy to build over it.
  9. Mean testing? I thought CW doesn't even open till May... ._. Usually the weekend before official opening has at least one company buyout day. Photos from yesterday here: http://www.cwmania.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=56398#p56398
  10. Wonderland's WindSeeker was operating yesterday as well.
  11. In just a few more year's they'll match the rest of the supports!
  12. It's not a Starbucks either but the recent "McCafe" remodel certainly hurts my brain....
  13. I think he is making reference to the Oriental Land Company's involvement with TDL's operations.
  14. Admittedly I have no idea what the shade structure looks like on KI's WindSeeker since I havent been to the park in years.
  15. Ah, good to see Cedar Fair is still in the habit of constructing useless shade structures over their queue lines.
  16. The ride was open once my 7 visits to Canada's Wonderland last season, and the one visit it was open the ride went down again in the evening. Based on Facebook comments, it has gained itself a reputation for being always "broken".
  17. You probably don't really want a Huss Jump2.....
  18. Strange that they would bother to photoshop in what appears to be Maverick on the far left.
  19. 5 1/2 years... That's much, much longer than I had originally thought...ugh.
  20. I'd have to test these maps out in person to see if they're effective, but I have a feeling they won't be very helpful in a park like Animal Kingdom whose layout was evidently designed by a group of people knee-deep in narcotics.
  21. This whole thing seems overcomplicated and over-engineered. What about this ride makes it so much more problematic compared to its Funtime counterparts?
  22. A new evac platform for WindSeeker? "Now experience ride malfunctions with 70% less sunburn!"
  23. Harder wheel compounds will make a coaster go faster as well.
  24. Without being able to see the full article, it's difficult to properly comment on the situation... That being said, I think attempting to sell off the land in smaller pieces is a good decision. It will create the incentive for smaller-scale development at first which will hopefully lead to some positive agglomeration effects in the area.
