  1. That's what I've been saying!

I was with this one girl who never rode a looper before, and she pointed at The Vortex and said,

"Hey, you want to ride the loopy one?"

    later, she said,

"You want to go one the yellow one next?"

I asked if she was talking about Face/Off, and she said,

    "What's Face/Off?"

  2. I love that logo, I would be very happy, if that was to be Flight Decks logo!

That does look like a cool logo, but i don't think the colors match. (unless....)

Nice Logo- But awful name for a coaster

Flight Deck is a halfway decent name for a ride,

As Stated somewhere in these forums,

"Most people don't even call them by their names." (or something along those lines.)

You're kidding right? Flight Deck is a pretty bad name for the ride experience itself. Maybe the station... but not the ride itself.

No, considering that most people don't care for the name,..

  3. Names are changing at Kings Island - and that is a good thing. I appreciate that Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad is just now, "Kings Island Railroad". I appreciate the simplicity.

Should Oktoberfest go? The area is a shell of its former self? The only attraction remotely German is Oktoberfest, which serves American and Chinese food!

Would it make sense for Oktoberfest to be absorbed by International Street and Action Zone? Scooby Doo was annexed by International Street. How about if Festhaus and Viking Fury go to International Street and everything else (including Adventure Express) gets annexed by Action Zone?

Do you think that Oktoberfest should go? If so, how would you divy up the attractions?

    Best regards,

    Italian Chef

Vinking Fury and AE both are very good rides,

and I think the area has some of the best atmoshpere in the park.

  4. Why on earth would they tell people?

People who go to parks are more excited about NEW rides. And it is new, to them.

Closing Geauga Lake is something Cedar Fair would doubtless like people to forget about.

Marketing is about putting your best face forward. And there is nothing to be gained by pointing out that your brand new attraction was moved from somewhere else. Kings Island didn't go out of their way to point out where Firehawk came from, either. And when Six Flags had a ride rotation program, they sure didn't tell the public about it either. They never denied it, but they sure didn't market it or advertise it.

That all being said, this is from the article:

...Thunderhawk was disassembled last fall in Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom near Cleveland; that park becomes exclusively a water park this year. Designer and manufacturer Vekoma International B.V. of The Netherlands is overseeing the refurbishing of the cars and tubular track....

So they DID mention it....not prominently, but they did mention it.

Wait, I'm confused. Did they say X-Flight was from GL last year?

  6. ^But my teacher used to work at Kings Island as heady of saftey (i think)

And she was there when the accident happened.

and putting a B) is just obnoxious.
