  1. Yeah like when CP ripped out a bunch of beautiful trees and landscaping to put in TTD
  2. For some reason that sentence made me throw up alittle! But seriously who didnt see this coming anyway???? CF is going to cut costs no matter what. Their feelings are that some of Nick characters arent even on anymore who seriously what kid would know/remember them anyway. I myself LOVED the kids area at KI-but I love themed typed stuff anyway but Snoopy?? Not so much. I doubt it would make much of a difference to a kid anyway-but I guess that will remain to be seen! Bye Spongebob!
  3. It has nothing to do with the coasters--it has everything to do with park ops. Crews were slow and park was disgusting dirty. Plus tons of gangsta types hanging around. Rides were great but could have rode alot more of them multi times if crews had some motivation. But hey--its NJ-being from NY I can tolerate all that.
  4. I am sure I (like most) was prepared for a horrid experience being Magic Mountain is a SF park. I will admit that I never had a bad time when SF owned WOA (**sigh**) but a couple less than great trips to Great Adventure kind of prepared me for the worst. Boy was I proved wrong! The 1st thing you notice about MM is how it fits in beautifully with the mountains, the view from anywhere in the park is unlike anywhere I had ever seen. The park was way crowded, I couldn’t help but compare the crowd size to CP and can not recall Cps parking lots ever being that full during the week.. I wont go into play by play with each and every ride except to point out my personal favorites. X2 - I LOVED this ride!!! For anyone who has ridden it I am sure they will understand it when I say I got totally sick of hearing the automated “are you in yet?” But wow, what a freaking awesome ride, the music just made it that much better! Goliath - another coaster that I have to put in my top 5 steel-this thing kicked royal butt! I actually grayed out on it and I have NEVER EVER grayed out on a coaster before! Batman the Ride: Was expecting the same ride I had from BTR at GrtAdv but was quite surprised by the intensity of this BTR. It was almost like Raptor without the mid course “rest” we all agreed it was a great (although short) ride. Ninja - Yeah I know, just another Arrow suspended but no line so why not? The funniest thing about this ride was the op who would say “enjoy your ride on Ninja-hi yah” Hilarious!!! Superman - After TTD hard to be impressed but definitely liked the roll back. Riddler’s Revenge - Puts Mantis to shame---way fun! NO head banging for me! Terminator Salvation - TS definitely knocked Raven off my fav woodie list this ride was non stop and wow!! LOVED it! CP or KI SOOO needs something like this--doesn’t take a lot of land and doesn’t need it to knock your socks off. The coolest thing about this ride is when you’re in the station the trains go thru the station while you’re waiting!! Tatsu - Would expect nothing less from B&M except for a perfect lay down and they succeeded. X-FirehawkFlight doesn’t even come close-this ride was an absolute blast less the feeling like your legs were going to fall out! Pretty much rode everything else (except for Viper-looping Arrow-no thank you) Log Jammer, and Colossus. Here are some things I adored about the park. Scenery, beyond the beautiful LA mountains, the landscaping was breathtaking, the park was spotless and I especially liked the annoucements made through out the day reminding people about the designated smoking areas. MM had signs posted around the park with a list of “Guest codes of conduct” It stated, “No Smoking (except in designated areas)” “No line cutting” “No bathing suits (except in water park)” “No profanity (or offensive behavior)” and the bottom said guests violating any of these policies will be escorted from the park without refund. NO messing around there--right to the point. All the lines were covered in trees and or misting fans. The employees were all smiles (maybe that’s from the great California weather) and very friendly. I saw several security people. I actually took a picture with Mr Six! We were spared gangsta like guests which was quite refreshing. MM was a BM paradise for me! Unlike some I adore themes in parks and on rides. It gives you lots more to look at, lots more to take pictures of and stuff to do while you're waiting in line. Low points? I had one guess how much you weigh guy give me a hard time about my CP shirt. He said MM is 10x better than CP. I decided not to argue with the guy because at that point I was having so much fun it would have been hard for me to say anything derog about MM! There were also parts of the park that were up and down hills. Holy c-I thought Dorney was tough-HA! Was excited when I saw on the park map they had a Johnny Rockets! Much to my disappointment they weren’t Rockets like Cedar Points but just a stand with overpriced burgers and fries. I was especially disappointed since I adore their egg salad sandwiches and naturally they didn’t have those. The food prices?? Well its an amusement park-need I say more? The final low point was the park closing at 8pm-no night rides for us! All in all I LOVED SFMM--I was totally impressed!! I can always tell how much fun I had at a park by the amount of $ I spend on souvenirs. $120.00.…yea I was impressed! If we hadnt had plans of going to Universal the next day we so would have gone back to MM! btw.....I no longer want to move to Florida...want to move to California!!!
  5. I'm on the right side - to the left of the lady in the purple shirt. My hubby is directly in front of me kneeling down like he's ready to sprint! We both were sporting our KICentral/GOCC MSS shirts! We both had a blast!
  6. Just wanted to thank everyone who made today such a great day! (Except for Mother Nature who was PMSing it big time ) Morning ERT was fun, lunch was excellent, Beast walk back was great and the sign shop tour was too fun! We didnt make it till PM ERT-I am still trying to recover from my California trip earlier this week-was way pooped!! It was nice meeting new KIC-ers!!! I was SOOO proud to see my Mid Summer Scream t-shirts on people!! I got soo excited when I saw them!!! Now I know how a fashion designer feels when he sees his design walking down the walkway for the 1st time!! My hubby and I wore ours also!! I was also quite proud to see my MSS buttons on the Diamondback crew who deserved something for starting work early and finishing work late thanks to our ERTs! Again my thanks to Cathy, Ryan and Don-everyone had a blast and the event was a great success! Thank you!!! Jo (who is going to start charging to let people take pictures of her CP tattoo!!! )
  7. I am sooo sorry I didn't know about it till today when the coupon was in with my MSS shirts!!

The whole bling thing is a cowgirl thing. You should see all my horses' tack-we blind em in the show ring!!! Sorry you wont be at this event-Im jealous of your PA/NJ trip- have fun!!!
  10. I bought 2 one for me and one for my hubby I also bought 10 of the Mid Summer Scream buttons for the Diamondback crew!! Jo
  11. that is the same with me. I dont know if its my computer or the site, but every time i try and get on it, it is all black except for th enumbers at the top and the picture at the bottom left corner. I can also hear the music, and click on things, but i cant see what i am clicking Yup I have the SAME problem and have had that same problem since day 1 of the site
  12. Ok so here is my 2 cents worth. I would highly recommend taking a bunch of pictures around NU now just in case CF pulls another GL move on us and we dont get the opportunity to take those last pictures. Granted, it's not like we're losing the whole park, but there is something so cool about Spongebob and crew. I have always loved the layouts of those themed rides. I especially like the Rugrats on the Runaway Reptar sign. Even Im totally bored with Snoopy, but that could be because I spend way too much time at CP! Jo
  13. Just wanted to follow up on this. I took everyone's advise who said to contact KI about the picture. Well I did and guess what? I got an email reply with my picture attached!! Yeah! Don't you just love great customer service?? Thanks to everyone! Jo
  14. Maybe it was an accident, but it did affect ME. I have my 100-1900 ride photos from Raptor, wanted to add a 100 DB. Stupid to some maybe, but sentimental to me. During RWW they allowed US to enter our email addys...maybe that's a better idea? Yes I have the receipt but KI isn't WalMart I can't just go back and request a refund-I dont want a refund (its only $1.99 for goodness sakes) I wanted my picture! I do know the picture# if that could help anything. Jo
  15. We never go near a park on a Saturday and today reminded me why! Thomas Pendelton from “Tattoo Highway” was making an appearance today and doing a tattoo contest, that is the ONLY reason we ventured to the park. We took advantage of the early admission ERT, got my 100th Diamondback ride! I had made a sign that said “100 rides” (I know, I’m a tool) and held it up for the onride photo. It came out awesome! I bought a keychain (cause I didn’t want to have to carry the picture around) and paid to have the picture emailed to me. Since the photo employee couldn’t spell “cedar” or “point” (which are both in my email addy) I should have assumed she wouldn’t have typed it in right. She didn’t, so I didn’t get the emailed copy of the picture I had paid for. There is basically nothing I can do about that, no one to contact, nadda. I am so disappointed! The keychain photo is too tiny to even bother scanning. So figures!!! While hubby and I rode DB a couple more times, we were told we couldn’t reride, despite no one in our row. We saw other riders on our trains reriding and an ACE-er who is there a lot was allowed to keep switching her seat if needed to reride. I’m not complaining we weren’t allowed to reride, I just think the crew needs to be consistent and fair to everyone. Either allow rerides or not. We rode 4x and then headed for The Beast. Despite being early in the morning The Beast was kicking butt. We rode in the front car and was happy to hear the crew advising reriding was fine and if row taken to feel free to find an empty row. We moved to row 5.…guess I had forgotten how bouncy Beast is away from the 1st row. Still fun and a 5 rerides was a great way to get our morning started before the GP attacked the park. It was then we found out KI no longer had the drink wrist band available No idea why they stopped selling it except my guess would be they were losing $. I totally blame my hubby, he can easily finish off 50.00 worth of pop when he’s got one of those bands! We were both pretty bummed about it so stuck with (free) ice water the rest of day. We enjoyed Scooby Doo where I kicked my hubby’s butt 1410 to 750! Thank goodness there was a long line or I can guarantee he would have made us ride again so he could try to beat me. Mans ego, a horrible thing to crush! We walked over to TopFlightGunDeck. In all the years I’ve ridden that ride I have never ridden in the 1st car, no wait so we rode it. Made like a whole new ride, wow it was fun! With the rail overhead like that it reminded me of Raptor a bit. Fun! I have always liked the ride even though it’s too short. I hear rumors it may be leaving, hope it is nothing but a rumor. At Flight Deck’s entrance and exit, got to watch guests complaining about SOB being closed. I didn’t see any maintenance or any human even near the ride, did think to myself how quickly it would go up if gasoline and a well placed match managed to hit it some how. Headed to ItalianBackJobStuntCoaster, still a fun little ride, but I can so do without the helicopter and fire thing. The beginning launch reminds me of Maverick’s 2nd part-didn’t even notice the similarity until today. We watched the Air Force Drill Corps routine, wow! It was fabulous! We rode a few more things here and there before heading to FestHaus for the tattoo contest. We ended up catching the end of the “County Line” show - pretty good from what I saw. Very talented singers. I made the preliminary tattoo pick and I am sure that was only because it was my CP skyline tattoo. When I saw the other tattoos I was competing with I was thinking WTH was I thinking even bothering? The other people had works of art - and many full sleeves. I knew I was dead meat when Thomas and his wife were really impressed with this chick who had a Bride of Frankenstein and a Phantom of the Opera tatts. Oh well - I did show them my CP skyline tatt, got a “nice” from them and I walked away knowing there was no way on earth I would win unless Dick Kinzel himself was doing the judging. It was still fun anyway! The grand prize was a gift certificate for another tattoo-what a shocker that was! NOT! Decided we had done pretty much everything we wanted to, it was toasty warm, park looked packed and lines were way long, so we decided to head home. The parking lot wasn’t full but it was after 5 and people were still coming in. Despite not having an online 100th DB ride photo, no unlimited pop wrist band, not winning the tattoo contest, we had a really fun day! KI looked super clean, very red white and blue, and even with the horrid humidity. the crews were super!
