And you pick the one ride that purposely has a script done that way. Wasn't Jungle Cruise also the same ride that changed the script after the gator accident?

And hey maybe I'm way off base or being the cranky old man.... but I think the original thing I replied to was the train spieler Mia among MT for SoB.... but I was also remembering previous things hat have been said in here from the crews of The Bat, The Beast, the screamers, the ones hat make up fake state etc.....

Don't mistake my professional line for not being fun. There was a great spieler on TTD who was professional and entertaining. He didn't have to make up stats or do silly screaming stuff to energize the crowd.

As compared to Busch, Disney, and Universal? I missed where they purposely call rides the wrong names.... Also at those 3, they have bigger crowds and yet find a way to have quick service at their restaurants.....

They are professional and have fun.... it's a juvenile mindset that to have fun we must all fall to the lowest common denominator.....

You have clearly never ridden the Jungle Cruise.

  3. My thoughts:

Best wooden coaster I've ridden. No doubt. Granted, I haven't traveled that much. But enough to classify it as best so far.

As far as the shed, I appreciate the attention to detail. A little underwhelming, and over hyped. But better than a standard brake run.

Overall, my favorite ride at Kings Island. Love it.

  4. I really wish they would invest in a resort similar to Hotel Breakers at CP. However, it probably won't happen any time soon.

I would love to know what the occupancy percentages are during the summer at Great Wolf & the hotels surrounding. They could be holding out on it until most places reach a occupancy % they know they could benefit from. If you have no idea what I am talking about, here is an example. If a hotel is 90% full throughout the entire season, that basically means a new hotel could be built and it wouldn't empty out the other. Leaving more guests opportunities to book rooms, which = more people in the parks. I think Disney has a percentage rate somewhere around the 80% marker. That 80% is across all hotels they own, and that is when Disney knows to build a new resort. Cedar Fair might have an eye on this considering all the work they are doing at Cedar Point resorts. I assume Kings Island could follow this trend.

  5. A mod did request in a similar thread that out of respect for those that still want to view this forum, without worrying of spoilers, that we use spoiler tags for anything that could remotely spoil the ride and/or the shed. We should respect those wishes, however your safest bet if you do not want to know anything, is to completely get off here and social media in general. I have a feeling tomorrow it will be told at some point, somewhere.

How did that person get permission to take that photo and put it on their Instagram?  I think this might be against the rules on KICentral if its not from the park.

It looks like it was a screen shot from a snap chat a few days ago.

  7. You sound like an amazing mother considering you are willing to do all of this for your daughter. As someone who grew up with a mother that did not ride rides (for health and size reasons), I can tell you first hand that just being in the park with her meant a lot to me and I cherish those memories even if she was waiting at the exit for me. I believe your daughter will just be happy that you are with her and spending time making memories. Don't stress yourself out, don't be embarrassed. Take what these fine folks above me have said and just remember your limits. If you want to try and see if it works then go for it! If not thats okay too. Some days I will just walk around the park and not ride anything. Enjoy your time. :)

    Oh, and Welcome to KIC!

  8. The Kings Island snapchat has been updated with video of Don talking about MT multiple times. Views of the station, mid course tunnel, and white water with water can be seen! As well as a little bit of the shed from far away. Looks like things are starting to wrap up!!

And on the same day Kings Island Snap Chats a picture of The Racer with a blue and a red line drawn going up both lifts that reads...."We can dream, can't we?"

That picture above I think was just to resemble the trains going up the lift since we are so close to opening day.

Also this topic is being discussed here:

  10. It seems CF is using Rocky Mountain Construction to fix old, terrible wooden coasters in their parks. Or at least that is the current trend. I can hope for one to come to Kings Island at some point in the near future, but I just don't see it happening any time soon.

I want racer to be RMC'd but I think it will make some people since it, as you said, is very iconic and people will be disappointed the coaster designed by Mr, Allen will be completely changed.

For example I asked my friend KIghostguy what he thought about it and he said he hopes it will never happen.

If Kings Island got an intense coaster I think it will be an intamin blitz, because KI doesn't have an intamin coaster yet

I would love to see Racer get RMC'd similar to Twisted Colossus, but it probably won't happen.
