This is probably the best wave pool in the midwest...but that is just my opinion...

This is year one. Not year two nor three, year one, the test year. Kentucky Kingdom was one of the very first parks in the country to offer a halloween event. I see this event coming back in the near future. The park has already announced via email that parks hours will increase on weekdays and the park will be open more days next season.

I doubt that will hurt Kentucky Kingdom. The reason why is because the park is already paying $1.25 over minimum wage.

My prediction is that the state fair will not be a problem for Kentucky Kingdom. Kentucky Kingdom in past history has never received much business during the state fair. Most fair goers would rather ride the fair rides since they are only there for 10 days while you can ride Kentucky Kingdom all season long. As you have said, and as many of us know, Hurricane Bay is the park’s main draw right now as the park is still in redevelopment, and as I have said before Hurricane Bay closes Sunday (Hurricane Bay has never been open during the fair in past history). The only thing I see guest coming into the park for is $1 drinks.

The ridiculous comments are actually winding down as the season is coming to a close and there seems to be more sanctification. BTW, There is only several days left of operation of Hurricane Bay for the 2014 season. After Aug 9, the water park is expected to be closed for the season to the public.

Did you catch the sea lion show? That show is a MUST!!!!!!! You should comment this review on the parks facebook page (or the cons). Every time I go to the park there is always something new or something that has been tweaked. Like today I went and they added this gigantic permanent signed outside of the Auqa Theater showing patrons will know the times of shows which is very noticeable compared to the other signs. I am sure that that park will take your thoughts into consideration and will appreciate it. The park maybe open but the rebuilding of the park is far from over.

So Kentucky Kingdom might be in the news again for another week. This time, its breast feeding mothers. The park's facebook page has many comments of angry mothers who seem to be apart of some sort of campaign group.

However, the park cannot open if it does not have the money to do so. You don't fight for years even prior to the closure of the park in 2009 to invest millions just to plan to close a park, but if the revenue dries up and you can no longer afford to keep the park open, then you have no choice but to close it regardless of what your plans for the park were. We should really be thinking about finances and money and such and such, because Kentucky Kingdom's future, even next year, hinges on being successful from a financial standpoint so that it has the money to sustain operations for seasons to come. If the park was leased in 2009 to Hart avoiding a closure, whether we would be talking about finances and whether there was a bright future to be talked about would be dependent on his plan as presented to the Fair Board in the lease proposal." On the park's website it said the Raging Rapids Ride opening has been push back to 2015. I personally believe the park will add a major new coaster new year. I just feel like it is common sense. The dry side has been slacking ever since the addition of Twisted Twins, and with that so many popular rides and coasters have been closed or moved out of the park. T2 (T3) opening with the Rapid Waters rides IMO is not enough to bring back guest. Guest have been all over the facebook page complaining that the park needs more coasters. If it is not a new coaster next year, then it has to be a major flat ride.

Yes, just like every other coaster on this planet believe it or not but Lightning Run is very noticeable because it is inches away from the side way. Dragster at Cedar Point is also very noticeable. The closer you are to a coaster, the more noticeably it becomes. People are starting to freak out because Lightning Run sways are noticeable compared to other coasters.

The park in my opinion was a success yesterday. The park has different vibe, a different look, a different attitude. I however did not get on any water attractions because I have common sense of not getting wet in 60 degrees weather, so I did not enjoy the park to the fullest. Food was cheap, merchandise was cheap, and that was without my season pass discounts. My only problem was the dirty old pavement. I asked employees about it and they said they were going to repave the grounds next week before opening. Question for you guys, Are lines at Kentucky Kingdom a good or a bad thing? From comments I have seen from news stories on facebook from Amazon employes, So many people are complaining that they only rode 2 or 3 rides in four or five hours simply because the lines in the park where so long. In my opinion, people are not use to Kentucky Kingdom having long lines. I really don't remember waiting in lines to ride rides are the park during the Six Flags era like I did yesterday. People were also commenting by the fact that Twisted Twins and T2 was closed. I wonder if they noticed that both rides where marks "Coming in 2015". "Coming in 2016" on the packets we received.

I've heard from many that Lightning Run is better than Banshee... I ridden Lightning Run today and personally, this is now my all time favorite coaster.

Here in Louisville, the bill boards are different as well. They are also for the first time advertising season passes.
