  1. Well now I see this was partly discussed in another forum about Viacom's quarter results...
  2. Well I know some of you may have seen this on other sites, but I figured I'd post it here to see what all of you thought. It seems that Viacom is considereing selling it's parks division. In my eyes, I don't have any clue why they would do this. I'm no economy expert, but I would think that the parks are one of Viacom's greatest source of profit. So what do you all think? Do you think the sell will even go through? If so, how do you think the park will change? NY Post Globe and mail
  3. I would love to see either an Intamin Hyper or Giga, or a B&M Hyper. Not only are these rides high capacity rides, they are always some of the best rides out there IMO...
  4. Besides, with the typical Cincinnati weather, the weather will probably get really cold and snowy again, then repeating over and over, warm, cold, etc.... Stupid Cincy weather
  5. There is at least 2 in Japan. The 1st is at Nagashima Spaland; this giant frisbee painted identical to Delerium: http://www.themeparkreview.com/japan2004/spaland2.htm The second is at Fuji-Q-Highlands; and this one is themed and painted to a giant pizza: http://www.themeparkreview.com/japan2004/fuji5.htm
  6. I"m just curious as to know how they add 3 extra feet to a standard Huss Giant Frisbee? 3 extra feet of concrete or what? Over on coasterbuzz someone says they may have just rounded the number up from 137 to 140. Anybody know?
  7. I think this would be an exciting addition to CDBB. From what I've seen, this is very much a family involved ride, and that seems what PKI is striving for so hard. I think that it fits better in CDBB than it does Nick Central, but the ride could go in either place, IMO. I think theres is a decent amount of room that PKI could put it in at CDBB. I think its at Hershey, they have it built over walkways. This would work really well at CDBB, because there is still all that cement connecting it...
  8. I have to say that I was also pretty bored with the Eagles the last time I rode them... For some people, the Eagles held a sentimental value; it was the must ride. So obviously its all a matter of opinion. If I were an out-of-towner, I'd be more likely to go to PKI because I see a roller coaster themed to Italian Job, than I would because I see the Eagles. Thats probably want PKI's execs based their decision on. I have to admit though, they could've been moved elsewhere in the park... I know this is so unlikely to happen, but me and my brother always thought itd be cool if there was more added on to Top Gun, possibly another lift. I do love the ride, short, sweet, to the point, and probably the best Arrow suspended..IMO. But it might be better with more length...idk I really dont see any of PKI's rides leaving anytime soon... Vortex seems to be a big one up for grabs, but id ont think they would've re-painted a few years back if they planned on getting rid of it.
  9. While I agree with you, Darren, on the fact that The Racer started the new coaster interest, this isn't really a big part of PKI history. This is more important to the history of the rollercoaster, than it is PKI's. If you understand what I'm trying to say... In my opinion, The Beast is the coaster that PKI on the maps, in the worldly scale. From the time The Beast was built, PKI has been known as a world class amusement park. This is the one of the big reasons people know of and want to come to PKI.
  10. So back on topic: How far are we on construction as of this weekend?
  11. While this was a short survey, it seems to show even more than PKI want to become the "family theme park" they always talk about. I think it is a good think that they want to add a themed restaurant. I loved the many themed restaurants at Disney like the Prime Time Cafe or the Living Seas restaurant. This can only help Pki...
  12. Yes, its a post card, but someone had to take this photo. http://extremepki.houstonthrills.com/history/postcard2.jpg[/img]
