I don't know if this will still work but me and my friends when we would go sometimes we would get the girls to put food in their bags. As long as in your bag you don't have any metal and it dosn't go off passing through the detector, they shouldn't check it, but even if they do they normally only take a quick glance at it. We've gotten all sorts of good stuff like girl scout cookies and snack food inside the park which definantly beats paying for food there. But if you don't feel comfortable doing that one thing we do to keep the cost down is get a big order of whatever it is we are getting and split it, which requires everyone eating the same thing, which i don't know how realistic that is since you have little ones. Also some people don't know this but you can get cups of water free of charge if you tell them you want a cup of water, better than paying 3 bucks for bottled water or a small soda. Hope this helps some.

Yeah when i rode it yesterday I was expecting the techno that everyone had been talking about, but when we got on it was some eerie sounding sound effects. I was bummed cause I really wanted to experience the ride with techno playing in the background lol. Guess I'll have to bring my iPod somtime.

No it was open. It wasnt at first but then when it started to rain i guess they decided to open it so there whould be more rides for the few people that were in the park today.

Yeah I also went today, but I had a really good time. The lines were awesome, and I love the rain anyways. But, we left at 6 but we didn't hear anything about the park closing early though, that really sucks. Our original plan was to stay to 10 but when the wind really started to pick up it was freezing cold! I got to ride The Beast front seat and The Vortex backseat, and then we rode FOF and some of the flats a few times. We spent quite a bit of our time in Nickelodeon Universe as well. But the Crypt was awesome!

I would have to say Son of Beast has definantly improved over all. I would recommend it to anyone who asked about. It's by no means the smoothest ride in the park but it's about the equivalent of The Beast in intensity now.

I have never personally experienced anything but there are stories that ive read/heard about people who work at the park encountering things of the paranormal. Lots of people who work White water canyon claim to have strange experiences. Such as hearing rocks hit the top of their tower they were working in when there is no one else around. And some people have seen the figure of a little boy on The Racer's tracks. I was reading an article about it all a couple days ago actually.

I highly doubt that the red and yellow coaster will be the 09 one. First of all, it's Invertigo! It has the same paint job, i know it doesn't have the same layout but look how SOB looked on the backdrop. Secondly, the rumor coaster is rumored to be a B&M hyper, and even if it was an invert... it wouldn't be red and yellow. That is no way Invertigo. Paint job means nothing. Invertigo is a reverse incline roller coaster, unlike this one on the mural that has your standard lift hill. And SOB looks like that on the mural in the sense that it's a huge wooden roller coaster. What I'm saying is did you have to think about what that big wooden roller coaster on the mural was... NO you new it was supposed to be SOB. But with this coaster, you have to think. and nothing in the park really matches it.

On the ladder backdrop i think you guys might be right about it being the new ride. It's definantly not faceoff. And if you'll notice with the exception of Delirium every ride on the mural is in their relitive locations. This little backdrop could mean more than meets th eye. Nice picture!

That would be amazing. Its not too out of the question. I mean they are trying to restore classic KI with the backwards racer running forwards again. So what not a better way to restore classic KI than give it its own section of the park!

Ha, you never know. To me it sort of looked like a possible place for a building. With the park having some room to expand over in that general derection it might be some sort of offices or somthing. It also seemed like there were some more mantenince paths back by SOB and Adventure Express too.

That was my assumption as well. I noticed one large rectangular hole by SOB. My guess (and I emphasize the word guess) about that would be that while they were removing the fill for Swan Lake, they found something buried back there that the EPA would require them to remove. (for example an old underground fuel tank that may have even been buried there before 1972). Yeah the shape of it sort of threw me off. I mean I would think if you were getting dirt you would just get dirt. But, the hole looked like it was very particular in shape.

That actually makes a ton of sense

Does anyone know what is going on beind Son of Beast. There is a big hole in the ground and a bullozer or two out there.
