  1. IR is no longer know by us (The food workers) as IR, it has a new fun name. That new fun name is called the Commissary. (Don't know if it's spelled right) but anyways that is were we make the rice cripes treats and the big fresh baked cookies and brownies, all the fresh bake goods, come from.
  2. Thanks for telling me were the trams went. I mean I still think that all the way back to the BB water park entrance is a very long and dark walk at night, But hay whatever! It could be very unsafe as well, depending on the way you go. I mean at night in the main lot with all the cars cutting across the lot and down the employ road, they speed like a bat out of hell, to get out of there at night. I say they because I have a scooter,so I really can't speed and I don't drive a car. So when my girlfriend and I ride together we get out of there so darn late, it really doesn't matter what we do. On a side note I love to toucher 3 shift security, it is so much FUN!!!!
  3. I was wondering, were the trams went. I mean at the front of the park there is not even a place for tram drop off. One of my friends said that is was because of gas prices. But I don't think that to be true but hay what do I know I work in food! That parking lot is HUGE. Think about if you come into the season pass enterce at BB, then BB closes, you go into the main park and at the end of the night you have to walk ALL THE WAY back to were your car is parked. That is one hell of a walk and with your kids and all your ****, I mean come on now! I don't really think it would be that safe either. I was just wondering.
  4. Wow, complain much? Be glad you can enter through Post 2 regularly. When WaterWorks first opened, we had to enter at Post 3, then walk all the way back to the water park. It wasn't until many years later that they allowed associates to enter at Post 2. And may I point out that on every other day, many guests have to park further than the associates? One day of sacrifice is not too much to ask, especially if they are shuttling you (which the guests do not get either). And chances are the shuttle will be stopping at Post 2, since many associates now enter through that gate. It's not the walk, or how fay away I am or any of that/ It has to do with Lynda (my scooter). I don't know if she will hold up in the grass or not and I don't even know if Lynda can go in the grass! I mean I guess I can walk her through the grass. But I mostly park Lynda up with all the other bikes, right in front of post 3 Post 2 closes early 8pm most nights, which means we have to walk to post 3 anyways, so that is were she sleeps while I'm working. It has has to do with a scooter in the grass. But I'll just ride in with my girlfriend and we will take the bus.
  5. As a worker at KI I can tell you this. Guest will not be walking as far as are lazy asses. We as workers are being told that we have to park in the grass field and softball field right by were we come in and then we will bused into the post were we will be dropped off. That means I guess y'all guest will get are parking lot. Aren't y'all the lucky ones. I drive a scooter, and that won't do well in grass, so I don't know what the hell I'm going to do. I also work in the water park and come in at Post 2, so I guess I the bus will drop us off at Post 3 and I'll have to walk out to my stand. So much fun! From what I have heard most of the north lot will be closed on 24May, so that might be were there having the jump. I don't know what the north lot is, I don't know what the south lot is. I've worked there for 3 years now, so I know were I park. Is the north lot the big lot or the small lot?
  6. Ya Kid track works quite well. I had to use it the other day. For a small child. I use to work in Nick, and a small kid had run away from his parents and I saw him run by and ran after him. That was fun! So a secretary guard and I caught up to him and I didn't know what his wist band was for but the guard did and he called the number on the band and the kids parents were a few 100 feet back or so. That's the only bad think the bands do look a lot like the height bands, but they are a different texture and color!
  7. My source is that last season I worked at Wings at post season. Then they were telling us they were thinking of changing the name. They were also thinking about re theming it. Last season at EOS clean up, we were putting the booths in a pick-up truck and who knows were they went. They also took a lot of are chairs and tables and used them for wood during the haunt. That is what I know and I'm sticking it too it. And sorry one last thing they gave us a slip pf paper with all the name changes on it and Wings was on there and under named changed it had ????, that means even as late as 3 weeks befor the park opened they were thinking about a name change for it.
  8. Y'all going to get a kick out of this story. I was about 7 or 8 years old at the time and mu cousin was a year older than me. So it was late one night and he ask me if I wanted to have some fun! I said yes. So we all walked over to The Beast (I was big for my age) and I was tall enough to ride. SO my first big kid was The Beast at night in the front seat. Needless to say I know love roller coaster, but for a few weeks after that I was a little shaken up. What parent would let there child, be put through that, I know I wanted too, but I was 7 come on now. This was in the good old days when there no lights on the back breaks, or down throiugh the back end of the ride. SO ya it was I was scared. My darn cousin just laughed his head off the whole time and them after the ride stated to make fun of me for being a big chicken. He might have been two years older than me so he was like 9 or 10, and I was 7 or 8 and riding The Beast at night!!!!!!!!
  9. i worked there last season, and let me tell you I would't eat there if you paied me a lot of money. not it might be different this year, at least that is what I have heard due to the fact that it was taken over by a new food area, so who knows we shall see
  10. i know for a FACT that they were tying to rename Wings and it use to Wings Montgomery Inn Ribs, cause I worked there when it was that, then the next season the 'honeymoon' season of 2006 it was just called Wings and this year with an 'Old world feel' or a down home mom and pop place, the new name is Wings Dinner Buffet. I don't know what they were trying to change it too. but I know they were trying to change it.
  11. the ride was done for, it was the first day that it opened to the public and i was on the 3rd or 4th train and after the rollback, the ride went down for a couple days and we were waiting in the station for about 4 or 5 hrs and they said that the ride was a no go and that they were really sorry, so they give us the passes because they told us to wait and see if it could be fixed and after 3hrs in line and on the platform for another 5hr or so there goes are day at CP and that is why they gave us the passes due to the fact that we wasted the whole darn day at TTD,
  12. Ha... maybe it's best if you don't ride some of those rides... you seem to bring bad luck with you. I LOVE TO BE THE FIRST even if that means rolling backwards down TTD cause there was not enough thrust to power us over the lift hill, which i was told when the train came to a stop on the runway (and the workers running up to us quite funny) that ol ya that is what's suppose to happen, when theres not enough thrust! We all got free 2 day passes and a overnight in Sandcastle for free, hay it beat the !@#$hole we were staying in!
  13. hi, I'm new at this but here is my first post! I love to be the first to ride the new rides at Kings Island and over the years I have been more than lucky or unlucky to be the first or one of the first to ride the said new ride for that season. In the summer of 1999 and 2000 I worked at KI, so during those two summers I became one of the first to ride what is now Invertigo, it was so not fun looking face down at the ground for I don't know maybe 30mins or so, It gets better, i was also one of the first to ride Drop Tower, when I got to the bottom after maybe an 1hr, there were Army and recuse guys there about ready to go up and get us. How they were going to get us down I didn't know or even wanted to know, they had rope and lots of it, and they also had a lot of climbing equipment, that would have not been fun! I haven't been on Drop Tower seen that day. You think I'm done, no theres more. In the spring of 2000 SOB opened and yes I was going to be one of the first to ride it, after what seemed to be FOREVER on that darn lift hill, they came over the loud speaker and said we are coming up to get you and they did and I had to walk down all those stairs. I have rode SOB seen, but not seen it broke down a few years back and all those peeps got hurt, not happening any time soon. The last one happed on The Crypt and we we stuck in the upside down at a strange angle for a good 30 min or so and that was the worst, haven't been on that ride seen either. That is what has happened to me just at KI, so a word to the wise, if theres a new ride opening and I'm around don't ride it with me,you will get stuck!
