  1. Tried to fix it, but it won't let me edit the post for some reason. I did get the pic to go away though
  2. I've been in the writing mood for awhile, and since I haven't made it to KI or any other park here lately, I decided to write a trip report for my local county fair. For those of you that don't know, Fayette County is located about halfway between CInci and Columbus, and the highlight of our summer is usually our fair, which is almost always lackluster at most. I decided earlier in the day to head out despite the heat, and some of my family decided to join me. We ended up at the fairgrounds around 6, and it was still over 90 degrees outside, which made standing in the sun almost unbearable. The first thing we did was grab some shaved ice, which while not the most tasty thing, did help cool us down. After cooling down, we decided to go watch the truck pulls, which can be heard from anywhere in town, and can be quite annoying. I shot one video of one of the trucks making it's run. After watching for a bit, we decided to head to the other end of the fairgrounds to check out the rides. Selection wasn't that great, and with my great hesitation of riding fair rides, I ended up only riding one. Video of some of the rides After riding, we got hungry, and decided to indulge in some fair food, which is one of my favorites. I ended up having a delicious pork tenderloin sandwich, while everyone else just ate hamburgers and fries. It was dark about this time, so I started taking some pictures of the rides. These were from a phone camera, so they aren't the greatest. And my personal favorite My younger cousin and I enjoying ourselves at the awesome Fayette County Fair <Insert Sarcasm> At this time, it was 10:55, and the fair was closing at 11, I had to go get my favorite fair food of all time! It wasn't the most exciting day I've had at the local fair, but I did have fun, and got to spend some time with my family.
  3. That is such an atrocious thing to say.... Just Kidding
  4. It's ok to be scared of a ride, even just a little. I remember the first time I rode DB, I was more than a little scared. But as soon as that drop was over, I threw my hands up, and had a blast
  5. Don't think it is Math and Science Days
  6. How does everyone think the crowds will be tomorrow? I'm hoping to get to the park by 11, and I really don't want to spend most of the day waiting, like I have my other 2 visits.
  7. Kinda off topic, but when I went to Cedar Point in 2008, we went on July 5th, which was a Saturday. I think the longest wait we had all day was an hour wait for MF..Dragster was less than that, and Maverick was about an hour as well
  8. I have not ridden the ride since the very last day it was Scooby Doo...I'll have to give it a go the next time I'm at the park
  9. hmmmm....WindSeeker cam is down. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/fun/webcams/index.cfm I find it odd, since the other cams are working
  10. Left Sabina around 745 and headed to pick up my two other guests. After a drive that seemed to last an eternity, we arrived at the park around 930. After my friends got their passes processed, it was about 1015, and we headed into the park. As soon as we got in the gate, I saw a few KIC members, and spoke briefly to Rachel (StalkerChick). I wanted to have Beast as my 2011 opener, but it was down. I then headed with my group to Adventure Express, my first coaster of the season. After waiting around 20 minutes, we got on the ride. After AE, we went over to Flight Deck. But guess what, closed. So instead, we headed over to Racer, where they were only running the blue side at the time. Saw Rachel and her group again, about 30 feet behind us in line. Waited around 30 minutes, and to my surprise, blue wasn't running too bad. After exiting the ride, and heading across the park, I heard that Racer had to be evac'ed, with the KIC crew in it. Wanted to ride Vortex, but it was down as well. Headed out to the parking lot for lunch, and couldn't find the car. Searched about 20 minutes, and found out we had passed it up multiple times. After lunch, we headed back into the park, and went up the Eiffel Tower to get a look around. Then we went over and rode KI/MVRR to just relax. We were going to ride Beast, but the line looked horrendous, so we headed to Diamondback instead. While the line looked long, we only waited about an hour, and had an amazing ride. We took another spin on the train after DB, then had us some Dippin Dots At this point in the day, my ankle was starting to give me fits, so we decided to call it a day. Overall, it wasn't a bad day, except for the constant breakdowns.
  11. Does anyone know how" Big Person Friendly" these seats on WindSeeker are going to be. I'm a bigger guy, and I'm a little worried about it. I was able to fit on everything last year no problem.
  12. I noticed today that when I was on our school computer's using IE, the pictures loaded up just fine. As soon as I pulled out my laptop with Google Chrome, the images disappeared. It might just be the browser you're using
  13. What he probably means is that there is glass or plastic in the roof of the building, so the operator can see the ride even when in mid cycle
  14. are you sure that's the "topper" they're constructing on the ground? i know i shouldn't go by it, but in the computer generated model of the ride, the red "topper" doesn't look like what they're constructing. That's what I was thinking..I wonder what it is
  15. I can't believe how quickly they got this completed. Makes me even more excited about opening day
  16. They were posted onto this forum.. Pics were taken from Intimidator and Nighthawk http://www.sfgamworld.com/forum/general-coaster-talk/topic10030-25.html
