  1. I was there Monday with a Fast Lane pass and rode Diamondback 4 times. We'd get to the gate and they would just let us in to chose whatever row we wanted. There was no reserving of the front row. We just joined the others that were already in the queue. Or bands were numbered 370 and 371. I doubt that they had sold 370 bands that morning. I'm wondering if they are numbered in descending order so the cashier knows how many are left for the day without having to do math?
  2. First time we rode Monday was 2001 theme, second time was Kill Da Wabbit.
  3. Most everything was marked as 30 to 45 minutes. Flight of Fear was marked as 90 minutes when we did it. I wouldn't call it "dead", maybe medium rare. I liked it because instead of waiting in line we could walk on then sit in the shade with ice water recuperating for ten minutes.
  4. Not running today and no activity around it at all.
  5. We used our Fast Lane passes today. We rode Diamondback four times, Stunt Coaster, Firehawk, Flight of Fear, Boo Blaster, WindSeeker twice, and Log Flume. I estimate we saved over 5 hours of line time. Totally worth it IMO. Editted to add that we rode the front seats of everything as well. Tanna, you look for the big Fast Lane placard to find the entrance. It looks like it could just be an advertising sign but it is the entrance demarcation. We were a bit confused at first.
  6. I think we'll do that. We'll have 2 hours to see how things go before the FL window opens anyway. Molly has been having some hip pain so any time not in a line is valuable. And it's "found money"!
  7. Can you buy it for the day when you are there?
  8. My wife and I will be there next Monday. We're traveling to my High School reunion in southern Ohio over the weekend so we'll be in the area. Haven't been for three years when it was one of our first dates. I heard about this Fast Lane thing this week and it seemed pretty extravagant. I figured going on a Monday it probably wouldn't be necessary. But I said to my Wife "if we get a $100 donation this week we'll get the Fast Lane". Her info web site accepts donations, and one that large is rare. Well lo and behold today we get a $100 donation! I'll let you know how it goes next week. Don't hate me, it was fate
  9. Hi baby!! I don't know how we can top this day, but it will be fun trying!

    Crowds?

I was there Wednesday. Weather was beautiful and we didn't wait for more than 15 minutes for anything. All we did were the major thrill rides. Vortex and Beast were down until mid afternoon. We got stuck on top of Vortex for about 15 minutes around 9:30 pm. Great spot to watch the sunset over the park!
  11. You are given a wrist band when you stay at the resort. The shuttle driver checks when you get on. Doesn't have to be on your wrist but if you don't have one, you will not ride.
  12. Hi guys...my first post was this one : http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...218759&st=0 This was my first visit since probably 1981. We stayed at the KI Resort and it was great! Got to the park about 10:30 AM and first rode The Racer (Blue) as there was no line. Then we got in line for Firehawk. After about 1/2 hour we were on the steps up to the ride platform when they announced a breakdown. We split. From there we hit every big thrill ride there is. Weather was beautiful and lines were nearly non-existant. Our waits were increased due to our insistence on riding in the front car of everything. We just love having nothing in front of us on a ride we have never experienced. The final tally was: Racer: Once on Blue. twice on Red. Front car each time Beast: Broke down til evening....rode once, front car. Son of Beast: Once, front car Vortex: Twice in the front car; then at about 9:30 pm took a rear car ride and suffered an emergency stop at the top breakdown zone for about 15 minutes. Watched the sunset over the park. Kinda cool! Invertigo: Once; front seat. Laughed like a schoolgirl. Flight of Fear: Twice; front seat. Seems like there must have been more theming inside at one time? Italian Job Stunt Coaster: 3 times. Twice in front, once in rear. Me and my sweetie both drive MINIs so.... Flight Deck aka Flight Of The Cicadas. Walked on....took a car a couple back. Good thing as the girls in the front got a mouth full of winged protein. Crypt: Twice...rear row and front row. No fog...cool ride but nothing happening other than the acrobatics. Very fun and I laughed my @ss off but this ride is painful to men. White Water Canyon. Did this about 8 pm. My girlfriend says I told her we would not get wet. I said no such thing. We got soaked. She said "no more %#s for you!" She got over it. Restaurants, ice cream shops and bars were no wait. It was a perfect day. We spent about 11 1/2 hours there and had the most fun two forty-somethings could have with their clothes on. I was really surprised at the short lines, especially in the evening about sundown when we walked on to anything. Would have enjoyed a couple more night rides but when we got off the stranded Vortex adventure the fireworks were starting. All-in-all...it was 3 times better than I had ever hoped. Thank you all for the advice that made our trip more fun!
  13. I was there Wednesday the 11th. The cicaidas were a constant din all day. Worst i saw was Flight Deck. The trees were full of them. The girls in the front car got a mouthful of them.
  14. I'm going to be there next Wednesday...for the first time in over 25 years!
