  1. You guys are missing a big one SDATHC. The story behind it is that Scooby and Shaggy have tracked a trail of Money Bags to the Ghastly Mannor. The Green Ghost and his Ghoul friends are crawling all over the place. You enter the secret passage into your very own mini-mystery Machine. "You can help scare away the ghosts by using your specially designed fright light flashlight. Just aim your firght light at any of the blue targets and pull the trigger. And if you want to see where scooby-doo is hiding just look for the blue targets on the boxes of scooby snacks. Hit the targets and Scooby will apear. The mini-mystery machine will keep track of how many creepy characters you scare off, just look at the dashboard and you will see a running tally." You board your Mini-Mystery Machine out side of the mannnor. The first part is going through the Ghastly Graveyard, into the tomb. You enter the mannor through the picture room. Proceed upstairs through the kitchen and dining rooms and into the bedroom. You then make your way into the grand hall. After the grand hall comes the organ. Then you Mystery Machine takes you down into the Dungeon where you find out that the green ghost is printing his own money. In the next room, Scooby and Shaggy capture the Green Ghost and discover that it is indeed Dr. Ghastly. The police come and arrest him and several other creepy characters. Your Mini-Mystery Machine takes you back "outside" and past a sign telling you how well you score is. Now, here is somthing most of you probably do not know. All of the Mini-mystery machines have a license plate on them. Now, not all 27 have diffrent license plates, but there are probably about 10 diffrent one on them. I can't remember many of them because it has been a while since I looked at them. But on of them is "Ruh-Roh." Just to give you an idea.
  2. The Jaber Jaw's Tubs are not defunct, they have just been re-themed to Boo-Boo's Baggage Claim. As far as the rides I would want back: Smurf's Enchanted Voyage and KCKC
  3. I will be working all day at the park. I will be spending the morning at some ride outside of HB, don't know which one yet. But, for the pass holder party, will be back in the fabuolus norht pie.

    BAFFD

It was a very busy day. HB had an early ride opening on Sunday and SDATHC was open. Usually when we have a ERT there it is a walk on for the full hour. At about 9:30, I realized that we had a full queue house. This was before the non-season pass holders were let into the park. I knew then it was going to be a long day.
  5. Beastie is usually pretty busy. Of the three big coasters in HB it is the only one that doesn't have a minnimum height restriction. Kids under 44" must ride with a chaperone. For that reason, many smaller kids will ride The Beastie as their first coaster. When I worked Beastie last year, it was rarly slow. Only when the park as a whole was slow was the wait a walk-on.
  6. I know that they try to race every cycle if possible. The seat belts are causing some problems. If there is a problem that is going to take a while, they will go ahead and not race, but they will race whenever possible.
  7. I was working math and science day last year at Delirium and someone's show flew off on the fest house side and landed in the middle of the walkway. That was funny by itself, but then someone picked it up and brought it to the exit and said "I think someone lost this." For some reason the way they said that was very funny.
  8. Considering Fearfest is in the fall and winterfest would be in december. Of course we will see fearfest before winterfest.
  9. I think what Drew was talking about is that coasters will not let you dispatch until you have at least pressed the lap bar locking button. It won't actually tell you that all the bars are locked, but it will prevent you from sending the train with all the bars up.
  10. I just say it because there will seriously be people who come off the ride, have a zero on the score board, and complain to us. We will send it around with another group of guests and the guests in that car will get over 1000 using the "broken" gun. It happens more often then you think. Hey, I only got 800 the first time I rode this year and even I got off the ride and joked about my gun being defective. I will be better by full season. I can usually get above 1500 consistantly with 2000 on a good day.
  11. How do you know that some of the fright lights are defective? If a guest complains that a fright light is defective, we will take steps to check to see if it really was defective or if they just couldn't aim. If we think it is broken, we will inform the quests who are riding in that car and call maintence, most of the time maintence will come out later in the same day and fix the gun, or they will fix it overnight. But, there is not an abbundance of broken fright lights, 90% of the time when a guest complains, there is nothing wrong with the gun, they just need more practice.
  12. PKI still owns most of the characters. If you rode the Elvira ride at Action Theater during fearfest, several of the charecters were used in the pre-show area.
  13. Somtimes in HB when the wind is just right, you can smell the dumpster that is backstage. You can especially smell in line for and in the station of The Beastie. I don't know if this is the case in OC, but that would be my guess.
  14. lol I think everyone in HB should know who I am voting for.
  15. The reason the crew wanted to go under the station is because the tornado location for The Racer is indeed under the station. They may have been waiting in the station for offical word to go to the tornado location. The problem is that at most rides the tornado location is barely big enough for the crew or not actually at the ride, let alone a ton of guests who may be waiting in line to ride. An associate should know this and let the guests know that there station is not the safest place to be and that they should head for a safer place.
  16. Where is the verb in that sentence?
  17. DerBeast gets my vote just because he is smart ass enough to start a poll like this.
  18. I doubt they would do it because they would have to have both levels open at all times. Right now, when staffing gets tight in the rides department, tower being two sided is first to go.
  19. The park is looking really great, especially HB. When walking, I try and find pieces of trash I can pick up and have only found trash once. Great Job Ecology.
  20. When I worked on Tower in 2000, we would close the tower anytime we visually saw lighting. We were never called or anything and told, it was just when the person working the platform saw the lighting, that was when we would shut it down. I don't know if that has changed in the last three seasons.
  21. I don't know if these means anything for FearFest this year, but I went and picked up my first set of associate tickets today. That's right, the park has only been open for two weekends and I have already worked 85 hours, not counting this past weekend. But, the point is that the tickets they are handing out to associates this year will only be valid until Sep. 6th, this means that this year associate tickets will not be valid for FearFest. Does this mean that there will be a changes in the prices or somthing like that for FearFest. Because of this they have changed the number of hours worked in order to get your tickets.
  22. Ghoster Coaster is 36" accompianed by, 44" to ride alone. SOB is 48" not 54" those are the only things I saw wrong.

    Movie

We saw disney do it twice last year. One was good and one sucked. I think it depends on how they inturpret the story. If they try to lean too much on the movie, like they did in Huanted Manision a PKI ride movie would stink. But, if they used the name and only made some refrences to the ride, like they did in Pirates of the Caribean, then, a PKI ride movie might work.

    Movie

I don't think it will be cool. I heard that the book that was based on The Beast stunk.
  25. The operator in the antechamber only presses one button. The effects happen and the door opens automatically. It is not the ride operators fault that the door opens at the wrong time.
