  1. Hey, if you'd like to meet up, let me know Our "Group" Will most likely just consist of me and one friend, so the more the merrier It will be me and my two kids, ages 9 and 8. They can't ride the "54 inch rides" yet, but they would love a ride or two on The Beast, Vortex, or SOB with some people from this site..... I let them read the stuff on here and some of my posts are their ideas. They would love it. Hmm...I don't know if I could go a day at KI without riding Firehawk and FoF, lol. But I'd like to meet you there. That is if you don't mind spending the day with two youngsters apart from your own =P

  3. Cause it's more fun when you're riding with someone. AND when you have someone to talk to durring a 1.5 hour wait for SOB
  4. I'd have a blast going on something like that. I really wish CF would pay the money to put that in XD
  5. The last special event was the Expanded Fireworks Show, so we got to a great spot early and people watched so we would have great seats. While we were waiting I had the privilege to speak to several guests about their day. No one complained and said they had a good time the felt the park was busier than any time they have seen in the past but said the lines moved well. The Fireworks were great and had virtually no pauses in the display; I noticed no music was playing during the show. Here is a video of the fabulous finale. Sounds like you had a great day at KI! I think I actually saw myself in one of your 70s pics >.< Lol. But that firework finale was so awesome...I was in line for The Vortex with my friend (Last ride of the day) As the display started, and by the time we were partially through the ride and turning the corner to go into the drop that leads tothe double loops, that's when the finale started. It was such an awesome view seeing the finale from that high of a view point, it felt like the scene from Final Destination 3 all over again
  6. Nevermind, not quite what I was thinking of. But it's still the same basic idea. It would be awesome to have one at KI Maybe tear down that go-kart ride in the Action Zone and replace it.
  7. Sweet! I don't know if you saw the edit about the date being changed to Sunday cause of how you can bring a friend cheap, but if you're going on Sunday let me know when/where we can meet XD
  8. How many trains were they running on the AE and where was the line backed up to? Two or three I think, It's been awhile. But the line was backed up clear to the restrooms nearest AE, which was rediculous. It was the same deal with The Racers, they had ALL the extra waiting lines being used and the line for both trains was still funneling out into the walkway.
  9. I know. Whenever I have it that high I just put the headphones around my neck. I have high-quality headphones so they're plenty loud enough to be heard over the chatter.
  10. Yeah, I know about Firehawk. But I was thinking more along the lines of 1-man cars that run along a single tubular track and swing back and forth as you go around turns and whatnot.
  11. I prefer the back Except SOB, then I like to take the front.
  12. I would've like to have ridden The Beast first, but the group I went with refused to ride anything bigger than Adventure Express... *Sigh* For me, it would be a waste to ride Vortex first. Because whenever I go to KI I'm there at or before 9AM, so whatever ride I go for first, I will have relatively no line to wait through. So I gun it for the rides that have huge waiting times (SOB, FoF, Firehawk, etc). Vortex's line moves so quick I can ride that any time of the day and be in line for 20 minutes or less.
  13. My questions have MANY possible answers, so I won't bother listing them all, just tell us 1. Your very first time entering Kings Island, whether it be the very first day the park was operated, or Opening Day '08 (Like me) What was the first ride you rode? My answer - Adventure Express 2. Now that you've been to the park a few times, what is the ride you head to as soon as you get into the park? My answer - Firehawk or SOB
  14. I'd love to see a stand-up coaster. Or maybe a lie-down coaster...I've build these in Roller Coaster Tycoon but I doubt there could be a safe one built outside of a video game. But then again, my knowledge of roller coasters isn't exactly what you'd call "Extensive" so who knows
  15. Opening day '08 was great for me. At 17 years old, and having lived in ohio since I was expelled from my mother, Opening day '08 was my VERY FIRST time at Kings Island. I just thought that needed to be said
  16. Yeah! That's the band I was trying to figure out! I've been driving myself batty posting comments on Youtube videos of the jump asking if anyone knew the name of this band, I never knew about this website or the info so readily available on it Thank you!
  17. If I'm alone (Or if my friends forced me to go on the ride with someone I really don't get along with..*Cough*) I'll pull out my Ipod and turn it up full blast, sometimes I'll start singing and doing a little dance and see what kind of reactions I get from the people around me. Or just ask the girl whom I've been forced to ride with why she's staring at (point to random guy) that guy so intensely and why the front of her pants are getting wet. (Never done that...I swear *Coughs again*) BUT...If I'm in line with people I know and like, I do all of the above mentioned things and include them in it XD We once had a 5-man song and dance routine going on, dancing and singing to "The Trooper" By Iron Maiden.
  18. Come on people! Don't make me endure the torture of riding Avatar or Fairly Oddparents any more than ABSOLUTELY necessary!
  19. Like the guy above me, I haven't exactly planned a trip on that day, but I don't see how there could be a problem with me going. I'll let you know for sure once it gets closer to the big day. I'm always up for meeting new people!
  20. I hope it does. I know for sure I'll be there. Although unfortunately, with it being a holiday, it will probably be as crowded as it was on Memorial Day/Knievel Jump Day. That was rediculous! The Adventure Express is usually a walk-on ride, but there was an hour and a half wait on that day o.O
  21. All right, thanks for clearing that up for me
  22. http://www.pki.com/events/event_detail.cfm...71&ec_id=15 This states that after showing a season pass, you can buy a single-day admission for a friend for $10. It also has advertisements to buy a Platinum Pass. Do you have to have a Platinum pass to get this deal or will a Gold pass work too?
  23. EDIT: The date has been changed due to the event on Father's Day (Jun 15th, Any season pass holder can bring one friend into the park with them for only $9.99!). So if you are going on that date, message me and let me know I look forward to making some new friends. Before we start, I realize there is a certain fear of meeting people you've met in chatrooms/message boards in real life, but I'm beginning to get desperate! Lol. I'm being forced to chaperone my little brother everytime I go. And he flat out refuses to ride any coaster other than Adventure Express, and won't ride many of the smaller rides either. Which leaves me in an awkward position because I love the big stuff (Vortex, Son of Best, etc) And I have nobody to ride with me. I'm looking for at least one person who will ride all the rides with me (Not the the ones like slingshot that you have to pay for). The only one I'm slightly "Iffy" about riding is Drop Zone or Drop Tower or whatever it is now. So if you're interested in meeting with me, let me know A little about me: It's kind of wierd meeting up with a complete stranger at a theme park, so here's a bit about me. My name is Justin, I'm 17 years old, currently attending Edgewood HS. I'm into music (Rock/Metal), Rock Band on my PS3, Biking, and, of course, Kings Island. I've got the gold pass and I go whenever I can manage to get myself a ride (Unfortunately I don't have my license yet, Driver's ED is EXPENSIVE!) So yeah, let me know. Also, as a side note, I usually get to the park roughly half an hour before it opens, and I ALWAYS run straight for Firehawk or FoF (Two of the best rides and longest lines). EDIT: I will also plan on spending a few hours at Boomerang Bay to cool off. So bring a swimsuit/change of clothes if you decide to meet with me!
  24. (First post in KIC forums, w00t!) Yeah, I was there and I saw him jump. It wasn't all I thought it would be cause of those stupid RVs parked everywhere. The free Full Throttles were nice though, I walked home with like 30 of them in my backpack. But I do have a question. The band that was playing before the jump, does anyone know what their name was? I figured it was Aces & Eights cause of the banners, but I was wrong. They were rather good and I'd like to find more of their music.
