  1. I do not know if this has been asked before on here or not (sorry if it has). I searched and did not find not find anything on it. I am just curious. How come you cannot ride DB barefoot, but the other rides you can? I know why you cannot wear filpflops or other backless shoes.
  2. I am going to be an odd ball here. I really don't see anything wrong with the coasters, but one thing I would like to see fixed up is The Crypt. It needs a real theme and new ride routine in my opinion. Since this a poll about coasters I guess I will just have to choose one. (5 min. goes by) I can't think of one at the moment. I might come back later.
  3. I am still wondering about this ride. I am not a big fan of the other spinning swing set, but then again this is much bigger than that . This could be amusing.
  4. I had one of the best days I could ever have at Kings Island. Mainly because I have re-CONQUERED my fear of Diamondback. Ah it felt so good to be able to ride like everybody else and have fun. I was very terrified and I will admit with no shame that I cried a little going up the lift hill. IMO I think it's better to shed a few tears than to just stand there and cower in fear. I realized mid drop that it wasn't so bad. From there I was able t o enjoy it. Now I can join the rest of the fans and emerge into riding more confidently. The rest of my day went so smooth. I guess I have been in a after glow all day and I still am. I wonder how long it will last? I guess DB has that kind of effect on you. It even feels a little better than how I feel after my work-outs. Enough babbling. I just feel so happy I wanted to share it with the rest of you. I got to get on almost all of my favorite bad boys plus some. The Beast, Vortex, Firehawk, and Invertigo. Well I'm off now, but I just wanted to stop by since I haven't been here in a while (college-life). I am on break now and should be able to hang around a little bit more. Au Revoir.
  5. I wish DB was self-serve, but Ki has it's reasons why it's not.
  6. On Vortex I've been sitting in 7-1. While I've never been in 5-1 I can tell you that it's a very nice experience. At least for me. You just go faster over the lift hill and you also get more drop. I also noticed that you cruise faster over the inversions. I guess you can call it tail-whip, but it's tamable. Far as sitting in the front I find it splendid in view. I feel like my drop is cut a little and sometimes air-time. So as the front seats go I don't mind it on certain coasters. IMO I think you will get a different experience on different seats of a train/coach.
  7. I recently visited the park only to find that the Action Theater was still operating. I thought all the Nicktoons were gone. I know this sounds like a ridiculous question. I just really wanted to know why. Is there an extra license? Did the park still need something to still operate in that area and closing it would be a waste? Overall I still enjoyed it, I was just surprised as all to see it still there.
  8. If they did expand it it would be interesting to see what that put in there.
  9. My first ever coaster wasn't at KI so I was told it was at Americana( age around 3,4, or 5). My first big coaster was The Beast (age 8).
  10. Outer Hanks is very good. You really should try a blueberry cone if you want a snack.
  11. Kashmir Led Zeppelin gets some adrenaline pumping for me also Reach Up For The Sunshine by Duran Duran
  12. One of those seats from Delirium
  13. He could pass as a older Shaggy or a relative of his.
  14. Thanks. It's the first big drop actually.
  15. Post your recent pics with Snoopy and pals. You can even post older pics with the Nicktoons or HB characters if you like. I'm not very photogenic, but here goes. Linus was making me laugh.
  16. I have a hard time aiming.
  17. Even though yesterday was cloudy and rainy I still had fun. I'm usually a loner so first thing I noticed yesterday was that the park was filled with teenagers and tourists. So it was nice to be around people near my own age for a change. Moving on I must say that with the not being very crowded it was easy to renew my pass-no line to wait in. After that I went to Action Zone I. I originally had not planned on getting on Invertigo, but seeing as there wasn't much of a wait I had to take advantage. Next I moved on to Delirium which was a walk-on. I don't know if it was the ride or me, but I didn't get as much air time as I thought I would. I went to check out the new Planet Snoopy which was pretty exciting. I got my picture taken with Linus and Sally which I might upload later. ( I didn't take very many pics. Seeing as I don't take very good pictures.) Any who, I did check out BBOBH. Which was pretty neat. It was a much needed improvement IMO from Scooby Doo's haunted mansion. My Mom thought so to. She wanted to do more milder rides so did Kite Eating Tree and RFYLCB. After that I headed for The Beast and Vortex. I missed my bad boys. When I got up to The Beast which didn't have much a of line, but still a long wait because they only had one train/coach going at first. So they had to get out another one out and running which took some time. Vortex only had one train/coach which caused the line to run really slower than usual. Over all I had fun and I look forward to gathering up enough nerve to ride DB.
  18. I really don't want to choose between the two because I grew up loving both. Although I will give credit where credit is due. PS doesn't look so bad. From the pictures I think it's a good looking place. Well kid-approved. I mean I will always have a place in my heart for NU, as well a HBL which I wasn't too big a fan of but still enjoyed. Like I said I will always love NU and will miss terribly, but I think I can make room for PS.
  19. I thought that they looked pretty good considering they had to strip them of their MINI theme! Generic looking is what they were going for I do believe, but the pain job's I thought were nice. I agree! I'm a bit OCD though, so I like to see all one color trains. Lol! But the fact of the matter is, we've got what we've got for a reason. It's no use crying over spilled milk. If it dampers your experience that much by coming to the park and not being able to ride BLSC or CRYPT because something isn't the way you want it to be, then why come? Why constantly complain about it on KIC? I wasn't complaining that it would ruin the ride for me. I'm just not used to seeing them looking like that. They are not totally a eye sore. I have a right to freedom of speech just like everybody else here. Also I haven't been constantly whining about it.
  20. You might be a Ki addict if you wear your KI hoodie all season long through-out spring and fall. Not to mention other Ki garb and accessories.
