I would not open the old gate except maybe during the fair.

I still think this will lead to a new entrance in that area off of the park connected to those back parking lots that are already there. There will probably be ride additions too to fill out the area and maybe even a small coaster. They could really use an entrance away from the rest of the fairgrounds so the events like the fair and street rod nationals are not so disruptive to their business and guest experience.

I would guess they just stained that concrete to match the midway. They need to do the whole area.

Do we think they will start to dismantle the ride before the end of the season? Deluge was announced to be retired last year and it still stands. I would like to see some sort of action going on over in that corner of the park.

If someone could bump the Orion cam over a little to the left that would be nice.

Agreed. There is plenty of open space that can be developed without ripping out multiple existing rides.

It is amazing how much a little touch likes that does for the overall package. Well done.

I actually enjoyed T3 with the new trains, but not a big loss. There is a lot of potential that with all of that land opened up. I am excited to see what they come up with.

The old theater behind T3 is no longer on the map either. That makes for a decent plot of land for a new coaster, or maybe more realisitcally a new park entrance...

It just seems so off for KI to not have so much of the new for the season items not completed. Feels more like Kennywood.

Back when it was just a rumor I heard that a change to the restraints may be coming in order to bring it back.

Carowinds is a nice park, but they have removed much of their history and closing the raft ride made zero sense based on the climate. When I last visited it was extremely hot and we waited close to an hour for the raft ride just to cool off.

This makes me so happy. or is it hoppy.

I hope we get similar action in Kentucky. I went to KK for opening day and they were still running rides at half capacity and had several attractions closed. Both of these things were previously said not to be taking place by the new management so I am sure it is not by choice.

Does anyone believe that there is a chance the park may attempt to sell these rides or are they destined for the scrap heap? The more I think about this the more upset I get.

Has anyone put together a list of ride capacity/operations changes due to social distancing requirements? I did a quick search and could not find it myself.

I got reservations for the 7th. I am hoping for a very light crowd so I can get a ride in on Orion.
