  1. Do we have a commandment on not messing with Beast just as we have one for Adventure Express? Seriously though, if we're seeing that big of a clearing area (between RFYLCB and Beast), then consider me impressed.
  2. All booked for my Santa Claus trip! Does anyone have any dinner/lunch recommendations anywhere between Cincinnati and Louisville/Santa Claus, IN?
  3. LIM/LSM technology has been around over 2 decades now. Why is RMC suddenly having problems with it? The industry has launch coasters down to a science now.
  4. Beast Gal- if you're just going to keep defending RMC, then you're simply just not being objective about them.
  5. As long as that Sparta spieling guy that used to work on Beast doesn't come back to triple stack trains, we'll be good.
  6. ^RCDB really couldn't be bothered to check the website where its clearly spelled 'Haunted'?
  7. I'm seeing too much conflicting information on the interwebs to draw conclusions at this point. I think we should sit back and see what happens to see how true it is.
  8. Here's how you should acknowledge photos around here people- @stashua123- Nice photos! Please and thank you.
  9. TPR is drinking the Screamscape Kool-Aid. I know Dollywood posted that, but I'm seeing evidence of the contrary right now on the interwebs.
  10. Nothing from the following sites or Facebook accounts on their respective RMC's- Kentucky Kingdom SDC SFMM SFDK SFGAm SFNE SFoT SFFT SFM EDIT: Nothing on RMC's main webpage or FB account. EDIT2: Take this how you want, but Screamscape (I think I hear salt shakers) is saying that RMC made that order.
  11. Your kid doesn't happen to be a newspaper deliverer by chance?
  12. I think spiels should be kept short, mostly keeping to things like buckling the seat belt before pulling down the restraint, explaining more elaborate restraints (like on Firehawk), throw in a welcome and telling exiting riders to have a good day, maybe even throw in a few (correct) ride stats if loading/unloading takes a while. Keep it simple, but I don't mind some professionally ad lib bits.
  13. I don't know, man. They put a lot of good information out there (this time) so they can't be that bad. Would you pick Buzz over TPR? I mean, that's the big two... Let's just say I used to be a staff member there (coaster-net), and the behind the scenes crap is beyond idiotic. If y'all wonder why I can pull up info on coasters/parks so quickly, its because I did loads of research being a news and editorial writer over there as well as writing a few rides and park pages (all of which have been changed and/or removed since my departure). As Forrest Gump would say- That's all I have to say about that.
  14. Ugh...Coaster-net....I hate them more than my combined dislike of TPR and Screamscape.
  15. Is it a barrel, or rather..keg of nails? Yep, still hoping for a Bearcat theme.
  16. ^I stand corrected. I thought one of Racers' last hills may have been in the way of the path leading to Flight of Fear prior to its introduction. I was aware of extending the brake run though.
  17. ^Sheesh, getting all pedantic on my sarcasm, eh? Beast Gal- Loosen up and let us have a bit of fun every once in a while without pointing out every little nitpicking detail.
  18. Now I have an image of Don pulling an Undercover Boss and working the Dippin' Dots stand.
  19. ^That and it must be a slow news day if news outlets are resorting to that.
  20. ^Such a change to the brake run would require much more re-profiling than one may realize as well. Re-building the ride w/o trims would almost require a complete re-build of the ride, like 80%+.
  21. From an ROI standpoint, I don't see the point. Its already one of, if not, the most popular coaster in the park. What would changing it accomplish? I think it would irk more people (thinking about the local GP here) than anything. Also, Millennium Flyers may be great trains, but they along with riders have their limitations. Taking that first turn out of the first tunnel too fast would create some pretty strong laterals there. I also don't think the structure could take that kind of abuse on the turns minus trims being as old as it is (remember, most of it is original). MF's still weigh quite a bit, and taking those turns at 60+ mph constantly through daily operations would still take a toll.
  22. Wasn't that done partially because of Flight of Fear?
