  1. They technically have one already in the form of Nighthawk, plus they just got Fury 325.
  2. I use the geysers nearly as much as you, and I've found certain groups of guests are more fun to douse than others. Its interesting to me to see how different people react. But yeah, when you get those people who complain about getting wet on WWC, that's when you let 'em have it. Life lessons via the power of H2O.
  3. Voyage is properly capitalized in that context. Ouimet is referring to Voyage to the Iron Reef at Knott's.
  4. Off the Charts sounded a lot better upon my 2nd viewing of them. Some of those singers can hold notes really, really well and they're really showing energy and passion in their performances (on par with the good Cirque performances IMO). The band looks like they're having an absolute blast.
  5. There are other differences as well. The first drop isn't as steep and the last few hills are straight rather than snaking through s-curves like the now-standard issue model does. El Condor at Walibi Holland is the closest thing to a T3 'clone' since it too is the prototype model.
  6. Along with some hefty re-tracking.
  7. Pftt, that was nothing. They had Diamondback rated at 3045 minutes today! Oh, the wonders of the ride wait apps screwing up. Someone was trying to type in 30-45 minutes....
  8. I could see July 4th going either way this year. Its on a Saturday which would warrant pretty massive crowds (Saturday+holiday+midnight close+extended fireworks show+military admissions), but they're calling for some storms this weekend (not of the scattered or isolated variety) so that could be a deterrent. Even on years when its been clear, I've seen crowds you'd see on an average summer Friday on July 4th before (granted those were on weekdays).
  9. I for one would love a Beast shirt with the actual logo on it.
  10. I won't be performing with them this year, but the UC Jazz Band will be there providing some tunes at the gazebo near Moonlite Gardens.
  11. My top 4 would be Drop Tower, Congo Falls, Delirium and Viking Fury.
  12. I'm fine with spinny rides, but that whole contraption to make everything spin looks awfully heavy. Not only does it have to handle the weight, but its shifting in a ton of different ways. I like the idea, but it looks like a future maintenance nightmare.
  13. I've learned from being around this site that nearly any post can be Terpy'd.
  14. I second an addition to Soak City. Preferably a good slide tower like what Kings Dominion got this year.
  15. I probably figured it'd be crowded today with all the rain we've been getting and the absolutely perfect weather that today has brought. I contemplated about going today, but then I used my malem weather prediction cap and was glad I didn't go.
  16. To re-post my idea from the deleted version of this thread- I wish they had the guest operated geysers at Congo Falls since the automatic geysers rarely hit the boats anymore.
  17. ^I've had the opportunity to ride with him on 3 of those 12,000 times.
  18. No, I meant I'm in a band that has a concert elsewhere on the 18th. Kings Island won't have one.
  19. I think I may go to this, though I can only do Sunday due to having a concert on the 18th.
  20. ^Which makes me curious why they still make Giant Inverted Boomerangs (including a handful of new ones recently) as they have had similar issues.
  21. In my limited "coaster enthusiast" experience, I will say that Thunder Run is a great ride. I am in no way a small man, but the airtime in the back at least made me feel almost like I was standing. Lightning Run is a great ride as well. That's good because I'm a smaller built guy and with me letting up the lapbar on PTC trains up a few comfortable notches, I get some rather lovely air time. I am dreading the prospect of making T3 my first SLC though, new trains or not...
  22. As a member of UC athletics I want to say thank you for your support! Its been my absolute pleasure serving 9 years in the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Bands. Been to so many great sporting events and trips, played some great music, met great people, everything was great. It got me through the most difficult time in my life as well. I can't imagine where I'd be without that. Thank you and the rest of the UC AD for your increasing interests in the band. Both Mike Bohn and President Ono have been a great source of support. If I could put in a request for my friends still in band, please try to get them to the Miami (OH) game this year!
  23. ^It used to be confused with Son of Beast all the time as well.
  24. I will admit I'm starting to kind of change my mind a bit on whether to go or not. I know I've pretty much grounded myself in not wanting to support the park, but I'm also a bit intrigued by this park as well. I do see that despite the upper management issues, they do alright (in the most basic interpretation of the word 'alright'). I may contemplate a visit by the end of the summer out of sheer curiosity. Also, Terp's praising of Thunder Run is starting to become an itch I need to scratch.
