  1. Wow! Construction at the official website's web cam is real busy as of Friday, October 3rd, noon Eastern Standard Time.
  2. *herniates with laughter* Some of my favorites: "It curves back in on itself"--Several guests describing the first drop of any given coaster "I dropped a teddy bear at the top of the loop and caught it at the bottom"--A lady friend of mine, quite seriously, about The Vortex "I caught her by her belt and yanked her back in. If I hadn't, she would have flown out"--An old friend of mine, proud like a hero, about a skinny girl he was riding with on The Beast "Oh, it's one of those things that makes you feel like you're really on a roller coaster"--Said about the VR ride and also once about Flight of Fear......Flight of Fear!!! "Oh look....you go backwards"--Some old lady about Firehawk "If you hold your hands up, it will rip your arms out of their sockets"--Several poltroons about Firehawk on various occasions "You go straight up" or "It takes you straight up"--Various rumored roller coasters being built at Kings Island "If you get stuck in a loop, (the train) will fall off the track, stupid....GRAVITY is the only thing holding it on the track"--A teenage girl stereotype to her friend as if she were an expert On a side note--I love to explain to people the simple physics behind roller coasters. I try to explain about airtime and that the only way you would fall out of your seat is if you were standing because you would probably tip over an fall. Otherwise, you don't experience enough negative G-forces for enough time to "throw" you out and away from the train. You also have too much forward momentum to go "up" and out.
  3. Incidentally; for those of you who got the scream--you met TWO conditions: One was a certain time, obviously. The other was that you were within 10 minutes of midnight of the following day (announcement day) at zero-hundred hours. Anything before or after that would not yield the screaming faces. The reason you couldn't get it to work before by resetting your computer's clock was that BOTH of these conditions weren't met. And if you noticed: The screaming wasn't immediate......it waits for approximately 3 or so seconds before shocking the bajeezus out of you! A great prank! I hope they have more of these sort of pranks in the future--I appreciate a good mystery.
  4. This looks like it would be awesome to right AT NIGHT.
  5. Yep....they got all of you! LOL!
  6. I've never been on El Toro, so I can't vote, but I am looking forward to it. But if you've never ridden Voyage, do yourself a favor one season and drive an extra few hours outside of Kings Island to visit Holiday World and Voyage! Voyage is insanely intense. Once it drops, there's only a minor second or two that you slow a bit at the midcourse brakes. Other than that, this coaster rages fiercely out and back. It thrashes you around, but not in a painful way whatsoever! It's fast and smooth and takes the breath out of you. I always feel exhausted when we pull into the final brakes. But it's an awesome feeling! Here is how I describe Voyage to people: Combine a thousand hurricanes, then set of 100 nuclear warheads at the same time right in the middle, and the result would only be HALF as intense as the Voyage! Seriously--you have to ride it to believe it. Words cannot describe, and pictures and videos don't tell the full story either.
  7. WRONG ANSWER..... You will all see that my hint is correct in 5 days 3 hours 6 minutes, I would bet my house on it!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamondback_water_snake I don't know if I'd bet my house , but I agree with your reasoning 100%.
  8. I'm not crazy about the name, but it makes sense to me. All the clues point to a snake theme. Diamondback is also a play on the phrase, "camel back", which would explain the "Run for the Hills" teaser. And "Ride Sally Ride" would imply a long tour on a motorcycle, but it could also be as if cheering "Sally" to hold on tightly, as in bucking bronco. But in this case, Sally is riding a bucking back of a giant monster snake. .....and no, I didn't smoke anything before coming-up with this theory!
  9. My vote goes for a snake theme and name, like Water Moccasin, Copperhead, or Diamondback. I am determined to have my opinion heard: How many more threads like this do I have to hunt down?
  10. I really like where this guy's head's at. Or maybe Cobra Canyon... Cobra Valley... Cobra Falls... Cobra by itself wouldn't be bad, either. Of course, if this coaster is in any way related to or inspired by King Cobra's former presence in the park, I would think the track pieces would be green and yellow. So, the whole cobra thing may be a wash. Copperheads are reddish brown in color, however. I agree: From the clues, I'm thinking some sort of snake as well. Especially from the videos and teaser site. Like I said in a couple other threads, my bets are on Water Moccasin, Copperhead, and Diamondback FTW.
  11. Given all the current clues, my guess is a snake. My bets are on Water Moccasin, Copperhead, or Diamondback. Too many threads to post this subject, btw: LOL.
  12. Given all the available clues thus far, how about "Snake Eyes"?
