  1. WOW. I feel really lucky. I have only gone on the weekends a couple times in my life so that would explain why I have never had to wait that long. The longest i have ever had to wait was probably 1 1/2 for Tomb Raider. I may have also waited over an hour for Firehawk but Tomb Raider felt like the longest.
  2. ^Yeah you're right. I forgot all about the fact that Flight Deck fits in so well with the terrain back there.
  3. This doesnt really have anything to do with Diamondback, but Google Earth was brought up so I thought I'd mention this. If you go to maps.live.com you can do a bird's eye view (which I dont believe you can go with Google Earth) over Kings Island. I think most the pics are in the offseason a couple years ago. I just thought I'd put that out there because it's pretty cool. Go Diamondback!(now this is post has something relating to Diamondback in it)
  4. Yeah. if possible, that would be the perfect spot for it. I think Flight Deck is a good (although short) coaster for people who like coasters but not very big and scary coasters. It used to be one of the coasters I liked to go on before I had ever been on Vortex, Son of Beast, and even The Beast. But the only problem is that it might not be possible to move it back there.
  5. i would guess that you still get unlimited visits because you did have a season pass for 08 and its still 08. i think the one visit thing is only for people who dont have 08 passes and is a way to get new people to buy their 09 passes early.
  6. yeah if they put something in the lake to get the water moving because it is usually just standing water that attracts mosquitos, then we could just hope that people don't throw their trash in the lake.
  7. oh. I just knew it looked pretty neat, but I think I can manage without it for the sake of not having mosquitos and and trash everywhere.
  8. maybe they should just put the lake around the station back. Was there any certain reason it was drained?
  9. did you check the history section on kic. there are old maps on there.
  10. Son of Beast is a must-ride although it can be painful. I rode it at about 9:30 on enight and it seemed to be less rough than other times I had been on it. The Vortex is also a must-ride. It became my favorite ride once i rode it. I love the drop and the corkscrews.
  11. nice pics. and i would have to agree with you about the red racer being better than the blue.
  12. to me it would be annoying to see wizard of oz everywhere. i would get tired of it it, but who knows, it might work.
  13. i think that if changes were ever made to The Beast then they would be way far in the future. right now it is still a popular ride(and will be for years to come), so why change it. if it ever does get to the point in time when its ridership goes too low then they should start talks about what they could do to it, but now is too early in my opinion.
  14. I would consider it a suburb of cincy. i am from dayton and mason is like 40 min away i believe and i have never heard it called a suburb of dayton. is there any certain reason for asking?
  15. i agree with the water ride idea. something that will get you wet, but not as wet as you get on congo falls and white water canyon because sometimes walking around that drenched can get annoying. i know you dont get too wet on wild thornberry's but maybe a ride with more thrill than that.
  16. unless its way over the top to the point where it gives me a headache, i think screaming can add some more excitement to dull rides.
  17. ok thanks for the info. i just hadnt seen any signs or anything saying if the model was for sale.
  18. i had figured that. but i didnt know if it was any certain coaster or is it just a model to buy
  19. I have just gotten back from Kings Island today and I noticed an inverted coaster model in the window at Thrill Seekers on International Street. Maybe this was talked about before and i missed it but what is it? Here is a picture of it.
  20. unfortunately for me, the first time i ever went to Kings Island wasnt until i was 12 (about 4 years ago) although some wouldnt call that very old. i had always heard people talk about it and i always wanted to go but for some reason i didnt go til that age.(probably my parents lack for loving rollercoasters) it has been fun everytime since then though!
  21. the first ride i ever rode at Kings Island was tomb raider. i, along with the rest of my group, had no idea what it did but it sounded cool. we quickly learned that it might not have been the best ride to start out with but i liked it anyway (even after standing in line for over an hour.
