  1. There are those in this world who will never understand us.
  2. My favorite roars: TTD when you're by the entrance MF as you walk through Frontier Trail Raptor going through the loop Mantis going through the loop I also love: the sound of the initial launch on Wicked Twister (the LIM motors mixed with everyone's scream) the compressed air sound of Power Tower the hum from Drop Tower halfway up when it starts going faster the roar/hum that Drop Tower makes at the end of the drop the Flight of Fear launch when you're in the loading station and can hear the coaster roaring into the darkness the sound Delirium and MaxAir make as they swing through the air No. I don't like coasters at all.
  3. Go to the Burger Patio seating area, right in front of Raptor. I love the roar when the train races down the first hill and through the loop. It's loud. It was enough to drown out the person I was talking to on my cell.
  4. I LOVE TTD's roar. Nothing like walking through the entrance under the track and hearing that deafening 120-mph roar like a rocket above your head and the slight tremble of the pavement below you. One of the few things that gives me goosebumps on a 90 degree day.
  5. Watch around 3:19 and 3:37, best shots in the whole video. You can hear the scream of the launch cable. The only thing is, I hate watching it because it gets me all pumped to ride TTD, but I'm 3 hours away.
  6. I text my friend almost every day and ask how my Millie is doing. He will send photos of TTD, Maverick, and Millie to my cell, and sometimes he'll call me while he's in line for TTD so I can hear the roar of the train going overhead. He gets to ride CP coasters almost every day. It usually throws me into a temporary, yet intense fit of jealousy.
  7. For anyone who doesn't know, or was asking me what's going on: MF has been having issues holding one train waiting for the loading station, with another train in the loading station at the same time (blocking issues). The temporary solution for this was to remove a train, rather than hours of downtime while trying to fix the problem. I have been talking to a friend about this who is employed at CP, and he said that all three trains have been running yesterday and today. Hopefully it stays that way.
  8. When we rode MF Saturday, I saw vertical construction of some sort, to the right of the track as we were coming off the island toward the 169-foot hill. I only saw it for a second, but there is definitely something there.
  9. Your daughter is just too adorable for words. <3 Just reading about the food you ate made my stomach growl Voyage looks a-mazing. Everyone I know who's ridden it has raved about it. I live 4 hours from HW, but the more I hear about it, the more I am wanting to go. (hey! I made it from "tourist" to "local!" )
  10. If I didn't have to work, I'd be emailing Don right now.
  11. I like the launch, the overbanked turn, the hill after it (airtime!), the pitch black indoor part and when it dives UNDER the queue. BSC is some crazy fun, I'm glad someone agrees with me, I'm 26 and still enjoy the ride!
  12. I'm lucky to have a great relationship with both of my parents, I'm the one who asked my dad if he would like to go with me. My mom, however, likes to keep her feet firmly planted on the ground "where they belong." Same with my brother. The first ride I hit at CP is Millennium Force. Nothing like being towed up a 310 foot hill and dropping almost straight down at 93 mph to jump start your day. I usually hit front seat of Invertigo or Drop Tower first when I visit KI. Who needs coffee in the morning when you have rides that push you to the limit?
  13. I can proudly say that I have never once puked after any ride or coaster. My deodorant is 1 percent below prescription strength and I put on like 8 layers of it before I leave for the amusement park.. you won't smell any funky fumes from this girl!
  14. My friend and I were in line for the front seat of MF, and it had been a very hot day. This guy in front of us had a sleeveless shirt on and he stunk so bad it almost made my eyes cross. The smell was like a sweaty sock filled with old cool ranch Doritos, and every time a train screamed past the queue, it blew the dank smell toward us. My friend was trying so hard to hold his breath but said he kept smelling the funkiness. It took everything I had not to gag.
  15. On a WEEKEND: Olympic medalists + Carmen Electra + employee reunion + Brady Bunch + eating champion = CROWDS from h-e-double-hockey-sticks. No way am I going to KI this weekend. That park's going to be more packed than Macy's on Christmas Eve. Whoever goes, have fun finding a parking spot, and getting to ride a total of 2 rides. I can't wait to see the TRs on this one.
  16. One of the last times I went to CP, as Wicked Twister was coming back into the station, the girl in front of me said "I think I just pooped my pants." I also heard someone on TTD's train yell "MOMMY!!!!!!" right before it launched.
  17. I personally would like to see a short reenactment of Singin In The Rain (the 1952 movie). It's a musical, comedy, and romance mixed into one, and above all it's family friendly.
  18. Great photos and TR! The Giant Wheel is gorgeous, isn't it? Millie is having blocking issues right now, which is why they are only running two trains. From my understanding, they are having problems with one train waiting to enter the loading station while another train is in the loading station. So the temporary solution is to remove a train, instead of hours of downtime while they figure out how to fix it.
  19. I really like the Backlot Stunt Coaster. Some make fun of me because I like it, but I don't care. It may be a small coaster, but it has a lot of elements packed into one ride. At first I thought it was a kiddie coaster, but it took me by surprise. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face after my first ride, which by the way, was front seat.
  20. I am really feeling defensive right now, but I will try my best to be as nice as I can and get my point across. To each his/her own. I've heard: Millennium Force is forceless, Maverick is too jerky, TTD isn't worth the wait, Magnum is too rough, Wicked Twister is too unstable, Raptor is a B&M therefore it's junk, Firehawk is a Vekoma therefore it's not worth riding, The Beast is overrated. Someone is eventually going to have a complaint about Diamondback. I don't go to a car show and start loudly going on about how I think Pontiacs are worthless pieces of garbage in front of a Grand Prix owner. It takes everything I have to bite my tongue when people start trash talking a coaster that is a big favorite of many people, and makes me wonder if they are just trying to start a ruckus out of sheer boredom. That isn't going to stop anyone who loves them from riding the abovementioned coasters. Less people who wait in line = happy Angie.
  21. Ohhhh, I really should have believed ya. That is sad. I think the brat probably needs to do a couple years community service with the SPCA. Same here, Like I said on the website, he needs a therapist. I would be furious if that was my kid. I can't stand the thought of anyone hurting an animal like that. I've had birds eat out of my hand, and I've gotten a growling dog that tried to bite me to sit in my lap later that day. I will talk to birds or animals, they love that, but boy do they get upset when you leave. I went to my friend's house where she had a cat that she claimed was afraid of people, but the cat jumped up on the couch right next to me. I absolutely love animals, and they seem to sense that. Nothing anyone can say or do will justify what that kid did. I can't fathom how anyone could do such a terrible thing.
  22. Please don't click the "Cat's killer leaves kittens without mom" story. I had tears rolling down my face. If you are an animal lover, DO NOT read that. It's horrible.
  23. I'm curious to know what she was doing driving TOWARD Cedar Point around midnight. The park closed at 8 pm.
  24. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. Cedar Point is such a magical, surreal place. I feel like I'm 10 years old again when I go there, all my problems just seem to vanish and I feel like I'm on cloud nine. 4 out of my 5 trips this year I have blinked tears back while heading toward the exit after the park has closed, and the 3 hour drive home depresses the heck out of me.
