  1. I would love to see your source for this. Some of us have actually worked inside that building every day, and trust me, the building itself isn't water proof; the track on the other hand has the same rust preventative measures as every other ride. EDIT: The drum leaks water all over the place when it rains. The station however, is sealed.
  2. I remember, before I transfored to Train, I got sent and stood at BB station for 4 hours strait. I hated that station. Also, I've been there when we were sitting around at 8 pm and we didn't have a single rider for the rest of the night.. on a midnight close. Tom, you're not working there this year are you?
  3. Are you sure they started with the first car? They usually start with the car closest to the station..
  4. That is easily the best thing I've read on these forums in a long, long time...
  5. Another option you could do is have the person who took the passes buy them new passes, and just use his last name and his new address. I'm not sure if that's possible or not, but theoretically it could work.
  6. Yes, you did say when Diamondback would be operational again, and lord behold, you were correct. Good job, would you like a pat on the back? Now on to Son of Beast, you don't know what is going to happen to him. It has been stated time and time again, very few people, if anyone actually know what is going to happen in the long run. Son of Beast has been sitting SBNO going on 4 years now. The Texas Giant makeover is a really good possibility. It worked for Texas Giant, didn't it? I'd imagine that Cedar Fair wouldn't like to just throw away a giant investment like Son of Beast. The Texas Giant makeover is a big possibility, but so is being torn down. So on that note, your source must be pretty high up in the Cedar Fair chain of command. If this is true, and he did in fact share this information with you, he's taking a big risk on his job. Cedar Fair doesn't like it when their secrets get out. Hell, they don't like it when an employee tells a guest why a ride is down. Trust me, I know first hand. So, if all of this is true, he'd probably tell you to keep your mouth shut because I know he doesn't want to loose his job; someone that high up must bring home a pretty penny. I know if it was me, I'd make sure you kept your mouth shut by not telling you in the first place. So, Jr for Birdy, Zach now waiting to see what happens next.. I disagree with almost everything you have said here, so basically you lose credibility. The Son of Beast will not reopen and while those exact words were not used, it was very clear that the ride is done and it came from the second highest source. (The CEO - the highest source GOD made has made no comment on the matter.) Please inform me where you herd this from. I would love to see your source. You did say "while those exact words were not used, it was very clear that the ride is done and it came from the second highest source", right? So, please show me where you read/herd that the CEO of Cedar Fair made it clear that Son of Beast will not reopen. I find it very intriguing that there are all these people coming on here claiming they have all this information about everything. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. If it was not directly said, then it is not the case. When I say directly, I mean something along the lines of the CEO, PR, or someone else who has the authority to make a statement from the park coming out and saying something like Son of Beast will never reopen, or We have no itention of reopening Son of Beast anytime in the future. Just anything along those lines. This used to be a place where I could come and share my love of roller coasters and other thrill rides with other people who share the same love. Now, every time I get on, there is some idiot who has no idea what they're talking about, rambling on about something they either made up, read somewhere but cant remember where, saw on Wikipedia, or herd from a reliable source. My apologies to the new comers who actually know what they are talking and are making the forums enjoyable, and to the seasoned KICers who have credibility on these forums. You guys make my time here enjoyable. This is just refering to these people. Now I'm sorry if I'm coming off rude, but this is getting a little ridiculous and I know I am not the only one who thinks this. May I ask your source, also?
  7. You're right. I was incorrect. Although they did come out and say that they didn't find anything wrong with the ride. The lady came forward with her injury, and the ride has yet to reopen.
  8. I'm pretty sure if SoB had a bad structure, they wouldn't run a haunt in its vicinity, let alone keep it standing. A bad structure is a safety concern. Also, the track is not "horrible". As a result of the first accident, the ride was repaired and reopened. Since they did reopen it, there obviously wasn't any structural damage anymore. Keep in mind this was in 2006. Now in 2009, the reason for the shut down was related to the women who claimed to get hurt while the ride was in operation. She was the only person who was reported to be injured. The park even said that an investigation followed the shutdown of the ride and nothing out of the norm was found. Also, to restate what Captin Nemo said, "gentleman with tools working around DB area" are not, "head bosses for Cedar Fair". It is good to hear though that you came clean with your source. You call it as you see it. One would hope you had vision insurance, Jr for Birdy.

  10. It's a shame we get "these" people on here.. I'd love to know your source though. The fact that they're quick to tell you what's going on is amazing, though you actually believe this "person", probably a figment of your imagination is another story. Personally, I think you just like to come on random forums and be a pain. Kat is a well respected member of this forum and I'd be willing to bet my 401k that anything she hears, and repeats, is a whole lot more reliable than you.
  11. Sorry for the double post, but in 1999.. Or actually, more like 1998.
  12. The Beast is perfectly fine where he sits right now. And so is Top Deck. The coaster is what it is because of where it sits. There is really no possible way of making it more "noticeable" anyways.
  13. 5 ould be WAY to much. I mean it's hard enough with 2. Getting a train out every minute is hard.
  14. It's been about two years since my mom passed, she never really liked KI, but I do know the feeling. I'm sorry for your loss.
  15. You haven't ridden it recently have you? The first 3 cars basically fly past the brakes, the brakes slow down the last 2 cars and tries to stop, but it doesn't stop the train anymore. At least that's how it was 2 weeks ago. Really helps the pacing, IMO. It may help the pacing, but just wait till they have to evac like that...
  16. They don't tell associates ANYTHING. So unless your "good friend" is either an area supe or in park management.. And if he is and is telling you these kind of things...
  17. Personally, I feel like this is a bad decision. Just because some people don't like WindSeeker and Vortex ERT doesn't mean that other people don't. People are too whiney and will do whatever they can to get their way. Horrible move from the park, IMO.
  18. Don't hold a grudge, Zach It doesn't break down that often. The only time I've seen it go down this season was that day when we went. Every other time I've gone, it's been open. It was a lot worse last year, but luckily they switched train 3 out for train 1. Train 3 was the problem train. Before I left, it broke down soo much. Like it kept getting stuck in the trims, it always got stuck in the blocks even though like half the train was in the blocks and the other half wasn't. Train 2, well is self explanatory and Train 1 gets stuck in the breaks.
  19. The ride is a great ride, it just has so many problems. The cars need new LIM fins. It needs a whole new program, because the way they have it set up, it messes up. It shoots through the blocks.
  20. All this stuff they are doing to FoF, and yet it still breaks down every other minute.
  21. When I used to work on Train, I used to mess around with the guests. I would always extend the rules to like no having fun, no smiling, no talking, no breathing and so forth.
  22. I'm hoping for something new in Boomerang Bay. Or even something new in Snoopy.
  23. Nah, temp attraction with a rental tent.... For more realistic it would be camoflauge and such. How do you know? I must assume you are on the DA! team.
