  1. Screamscape sources have confirmed to us that not only is the new Kings Island 2014 coaster from B&M, but that they expect it to be a new large Wing Coaster. And yes… unless things change, we can expect to see it fly under the Banshee name. Here you go.
  2. The only defined path we see is from the bottom of the hill up to the maintenance area, and around to where the station "should be". All of the footers between Delerium and the maintenance area of this coaster are not for the coaster itself. There will be shade structures. Based on the shade structures are WindSeeker, some of the footers match, and would most likely come from CSF. By match, I mean that they are roughly the same size as WindSeeker shade footers. They still have plenty of time and room to pour more footers in the valley. The land is already cleared. Just because there is grass, does not mean that they can not dig footers.
  3. `^^ Patriot was my 100th... It is very smooth, but was a let down in the force department.
  4. 31 days in a month, they are going to announce when the announcement is.
  5. I decided that I am going to ride Skyflier on Pride Night, so if I scream like a girl, no one will think twice about it!
  6. Go every year! I end up going solo though. Husband is pretty theme parked out after 8 years!...LOL
  7. Know also that CP PR has said CP is aware of the issue and is pursuing a fix. How long before the B & M fanboys find a way to blame Intamin for this? No, us B&M fan boys blame Intamin for crappy reliability. (and overturned boats.)
  8. Kingda Ka also was also broken down on opening day a lot more than SheiKra which opened on the same day!
  9. On the subject of inverted coasters, and B&M's in general... A lot of B&M's I have ridden lately are changing to these new restraints. They are a bit smaller, a different material, and seem to be the answer to the older ones being vandalized. Montu and Kumba both, as of last December had these restraints installed on 2 each of their trains. One train still had the original restraints. Georgia Scorcher and Chang-O-Lantern also have new restraints made of the same material. I wonder if our possible B&M whatever it may be will have the new restraints.
  10. First of all, I would take Millenium Forceless and Raptor and dump them in the middle of the Atlantic. Then I would move Leviathan to KI!
  11. That was not track, it was maintenance area supports. It most likely is still there being a weekend and all. I would assume that where ever it is going, it will be headed that way this week. If it is indeed for KI, then I think we could see vertical construction as early as next week. Also, the first track installed on Diamondback was the actual sliding transfer section. I actually was at the park the day they installed it. You guys have to also remember that not all the footers were poured when Daimondback's train maintenance started to go vertical. This photo was taken on 8/13/2008, and is the first vertical structure of the ride. Notice that while track is onsite, the sliding transfer section is not yet installed. However, we are only 5 days behind the first documented days of track being onsite. 7/22/2008 is the earliest listed on RCDB's Diamondback page. The photos could have been taken prior to the dates on RCDB, but it should give a rough estimate. The longest part of coaster construction, is preparing the land. The drains could be in the queue area, or ride plaza. Gatekeeper's plaza is very nice, I think we can see something just as nice here at KI.
  12. Fun Fact: While a coaster over 300ft is considered in the industry a giga, B&M classifies Leviathan as a Hypercoaster.
  13. Was it the green track to the left of the building if you are looking from the road? That has been there for several months now. Um No... http://www.screamscape.com/html/industry_news.htm That green track has been there prior to the posting on ScreamScape. That was the green track I was asking about. The other unpainted track is still in the same spot as well, as I said before.

  15. The whole thing was repainted in the off season. Trains, maybe not. The track, most definitely got repainted.
  16. Buy your ticket online. Sometimes they have a Play & Dine Deal which is you get your admission plus free All Day Dining. All Day Dining is an extra $32.99 otherwise. Or, you can get the Fun Card, which is basically a season pass. They call it "pay for a day, and come back all year." Parking is not included in the Fun Card. If you make at least 2 trips to BGT with the Fun Card, it would be worth it. I did the Fun Card in 2012 because I visited in April, and then again in December.
  17. I don't have a problem per say with the stinky restraints as I do with the stinky people who OBVIOUSLY do not wear deodorant. I was at BGT and in front of us on Kumba was a guy (must have been in his teens) who OBVIOUSLY did not wear deodorant. It made my husband sick, and he did not ride anything else for the remainder of the day.
  18. This was the track that was spotted outside CSF a wile back. Looks to be straight. That track in the quote is still at CSF, and in the same place as the photo as of yesterday when I was there. Look at the twisted track to the left. That is the top of a zero g roll or the top of a corkscrew. This is most likely for a floorless or a sitting coaster. Examples:
  19. Just FYI... Just because there is not track out front, does not mean this will not be a B&M. CSF is huge. It is possible to hide the track in the very back of the building, inside or out. I was just out there today, and the same piece of green track is still there in the same spot. The same peice of track has been there for a couple months, which leads me to believe that it is a defective peice of Flying Over the Rainforest. Remember, only a few peices of Diamondback had shown up prior to the announcement. After the announcement, more track started showing up at CSF. Also, someone pointed out on another forum the difference in B&M's cross ties. Inverted / flying track has rounded cross ties. Above track cross ties are straight. I have been looking at older and newer B&M's and found this to be very acurate. My findings: OzIris Montu Manta Kumba Wild Eagle Dominator Leviathan If indeed the coaster for KI is a B&M, we will be able to tell what it is based on the cross ties.
  20. I have certain rides where I have my obligatory rides on, but I try to avoid Vortex at all cost. I can not handle that coaster more than a couple times per year. If it rode like Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood, I would ride that baby all DAY. I will ride Vortex if others want to, but I prefer to sit it out. I can handle Invertigo. I like to ride it at least once each time I go. The only ride that I have not ridden that is currently operating (that I am allowed to ride) is Skyflyer. I won a BOGO coupon for Skyflyer at one of those wheel spiner whatchamacallits, and I have not used it yet. I need someone to pull the cord for me! I invision myself at the top like this.... Ride Op: "3.... 2.... 1.... fly." Me: "Nope." SOOOO, anyone wanna pull my cord?
  21. Mantis, 1996. Raptor, 1994. Some say Gatekeeper, 2013 (I disagree, though). Those three come to mind immediately. I was born in 1987. Correct early 90's. BTR is the most intense b&m ever made and it was their first invert,,, Disagree. Montu is more so than the 4 BTR's I have ridden... Having ridden Batman at SFGAm forward and backward, Namtab is the only version of BTR that I thought was as intense as Montu. Here is the video of the media day press conference. Ouimet starts at 13:45
  22. I have always thought this. I can't believe people don't bring up the fact that Mr. Ouimet said that they have already given B&M another job. I think thats the biggest clue we can get! I edited my post to reflect that statement!.... LOL
  23. Okay, what about the elleged train storage area? Who, other than B&M creates storage areas with trains side by side? I don't recall Intamin doing that. MF, Maverick, Bizzarro, Farenheit, Skyrush, all have single track storage where the trains site one in front of the other. I am sorry, but this has B&M written all over it. Furthermore, is any OTHER Cedar Fair park have 2014 construction of this size going on? At Gatekeeper media day, Cedar Fair said in front of God and everyone that they had B&M working on another project. I will find the video...
  24. FLYER! Manta uses the 6 bolt supports. Look tot he right of the station next to the crane.
  25. My idea: The station and turn around to the lift will be where TA was. You board the train that is facing the direction of Invertigo. Once dispatched, the train makes a 180 degree turn toward the lift as Leviathan does. Once the train crests the lift, it could go anywhere from there. It could go out around Flight Deck, or out toward FOF (being the most logical direction.)
