  1. You all seem to forget, that this is not the first time B&M has created ride vehicles for another company's track. Psyclone that used to be at Magic Mountain had trains by B&M.
  2. You mean like the Footloose ending in Flashback Totally 80's? I miss that show! I agree with all the reviews. Songs were recognizable, great costumes, and lots to take in, but my opinion still stays with the Busch parks for having the best stage productions. I think the shows are getting better at KI, but still need some work.
  3. I am suprised that they aren't going with the "Cars" concept like Calif.
  4. Joncars05 Great report. First and foremost, I am enthralled that you liked Rhino Rally and gave it a high rating. I am a former Rally driver. I drove RR version 2. I drove from September 2002 to August 2003. This was after the accident which goverened the Land Rovers at 7mph, and toned down the bumps on the course. I wish you would have been able to experience the river portion of Rhino Rally on Rhino Rally instead of on Cheetah Hunt. It really set the attraction apart from other safari attractions. A suggestion for the future, purchace the All Day Dining Deal for $30 per person. It is very worth the money. Get your wrist band and go for a meal, a snack, or just a drink. Each time you go through the food line at select restaurants you get the entree, a dessert or side, and a drink(22oz) The sampler platter at the Smokehouse is amazing! Make sure you eat at the Dessert Grill and catch Burn the Floor. Puts Kings Island's dancing shows to shame. All of BG shows put KI shows to shame. You did great by hitting Cheetah Hunt first, then Montu. I personally like Cheetah Hunt better than Maverick as there is less to brace yourself for. Don't get me wrong, I love Maverick, but Cheetah Hunt is a better riding coaster. On to my passion, my B&M's! Montu, last row, left side. You peel to the left off the lift, air time. Go through the batwing, and all your blood is in your feet. I noticed you rode Montu early in the day. Next time, ride once or twice in the morning, then come back and ride it again. As with most B&M's, Montu really comes to life toward the end of the day. Also, this is one of the few B&M's that does not have rough, or an "ooops" moment. Kumba is hands down my number one coaster. I rode it brand new in 1993, and just rode it again, and again, and again this past March. It still rides just as great as it did 19 years ago. The only two bad places (at least in my opinion) are after the MCBR and when you drop into the tunnel under the station. Here is an awesome tip for multiple rerides on Kumba: When you get to the park, if you deside on skipping CH, Head up the center of the park through Niarobi, and wait at the rope at Rhino Rally. 30 minutes after the park opens, the back of the park opens. Head north through Timbuktu into Congo, and to Kumba. It will take a minute for other guests to get back there, as there are so many choices along the way. Used to do this all the time when I lived in Florida. Have a whole train to myself for at least 15 minutes. (They only let you reride once, then make you go around now. Bummer.) SheiKra is also one of the smoothest B&M's I have ever ridden. I am also glad to see you rate it 10/10. SheiKra usually has a fast moving line due to dual loading stations. If you ever have a chance to get back down there when they are open late, make sure you ride SheiKra at night. Another thing, if you want to get wet, ride Tidal Wave. Everytime I have been there, there is hardly a 10 minute wait. Once again, I am glad you enjoyed BGT, and I hope what I typed help you out on a future visit. BTW, have you ever been before? I don't think I caught if you did or not. I also have the Fun Card, and will be returning in July! Summer Nights = SheiKra at night! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.....LOL
  5. I will take anything by B&M over anything from anyone else any day. I think a Wild Mouse in Coney Mall would be awesome, though.
  6. In Florida, persons with artificial limbs or casts are limited to what they can ride. I worked at BGT 10 years ago, and the policy was in effect then. There is also a loose article policy on rides, does it get enforced 100%? No. Do people still take illegal POV's? Yes. There is a way they could have handled it, and let the girl ride. Without making a huge scene, they could have simply asked the girl to demonstrate that she could indeed hold the restraint. I know for a fact that on Kraken, (most B&M's for that matter) the bars are large enough there one can put their hands through them, essentially hugging the restraint.
  7. It might be cheaper to purchase the BG/SW 2 day ticket, and the US/IOA 2park, 2day ticket. Only if you do not plan to go to water parks. You will need to purchase the All-Day Dining Deal PER PERSON, PER PARK. SW and BG food selections are better than Universal's. Zambia Smokehouse, Dessert Grill and Zagora Cafe are my favorites at BG. I don't go to SW enough to remember the names of my favorite restaurants there. Burger Digs in Jurrassic Park and Monster Cafe at US are my favorite at Universal. Go here: http://seaworldparks...fers/Multi-Park Right now there is an online deal for $114.99 for the BG/SW adult tickets. There is a child discount too. All-Day Dining at BG is $29.99 Plus what it costs at SW. I think it is the same price. You can actually go to seaworld.com and your shopping cart from buschgardens.com will continue over to SW, so you won't loose your order and can continue to shop for your tickets. So for one adult: BG/SW ticket 114.99 BG Meal deal 29.99 SW Meal Deal 29.99 Total 174.97 per adult for those 2 parks. Completely 100% worth it! Universal's 2 day park to park ticket for an adult is $135 https://secure.unive...xternalID=UO2dp Ticket 135.99 1 day 2 park meal deal x 2 49.98 Universal total per adult 185.97 it would be 360.94 plus taxes for the 4 parks per adult. Universal's offers 79 cent refills in their souvenir cups! I think BG is 99cents. Hope this helps.
  8. The All-Day Dining Deal at Sea World is a great deal, and the food is fabulous. (Even better at Busch Gardens.) http://seaworldparks.com/en/seaworld-orlando/Dine-and-Shop/Dining/All-Day-Dining-Deal At each participating restaurant, you get a 21oz drink, desert, and main dish each time you go through the line. Even if you just want a drink, or a desert, just go through the line and take it, show your arm band and enjoy.
  9. The last time I experienced JAWS was in 2010. The queue was full, on a week day. Every time I have queued for that attraction prior, the queue has been full. There is no doubt in my mind that the attraction is popular. There is plenty of land to the east of JAWS, MIB, and Simpson's. Still trying my hardest to get down there on New Years weekend to say goodbye. My favorite line was by a female skipper as we were nearing the final scene. As we approached the fishing dock and high voltage barge, she said, "We're going to tie up at that old fishing dock, and unload one row at a time, starting with me!." Oh the memories! **wipes tear**
  10. "Amity 6, this is Chief Brody. I'm on my way, I'll be there in 10 minutes!" "10 minutes? We'll be shark bait in 10 minutes!"
  11. It is possible to do all attractions at both parks in one day, I've done it. It really depends on what time of year you go. I had no idea what was going on in Forbidden Journey, but I really enjoyed the ride. Went on it 3 times in 2 days. Spider-man is Spoungebob 3D on steroids, and Forbidden Journey is better than Spider-Man. I am trying to move some things around at work to be able to go on the last weekend of JAWS opperation. I have to get down there and ride one last time. PTR to follow if I can get down there.
  12. So the real question here is: When does PETA not have beef with a place like Sea World? Excuse the pun!
  13. Found this interesting. Two things.... They are getting what appears to be an Intamin coaster that includes inversions. Photo of track on their Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Galveston-Island-Historic-Pleasure-Pier/177272299004361?sk=info#!/pages/Galveston-Island-Historic-Pleasure-Pier/177272299004361 The banner on the main page has the Hulk from IOA on it. http://www.pleasure-pier.com/
  14. I went in July with a friend to IOA, Universal, BGT, and SWO... We rode Forbidden Journey 2 times in a row and waited and hour each time! Glad you enjoyed BGT! It is my former home park. I LOVE my Florida B&M's. Kumba is by far my number 1 steel coaster. I rode it in 1993 when it opened, and rode it again this past July, and I was reminded why I loved it so much.
  15. I have noticed the seats on WindSeeker at Cedar Point sit closer to the ground and are much easier to get in and out of. Not sure why Kings Island couldn't put them a little closer to the ground.
  16. Well... it was the correct answer to the ride op, and no one else was answering. So, I win! And if you want to get technical, Adena did not build the roller coaster. Clermont Steel Fabricators built the coaster, Adena just put it together.
  17. Actually, if you are from Canada, Flight Deck would be Vortex to you. I was at the exit of Diamondback in 2009 when they had a break down. I was waiting for my friend to get off the ride. The unload attendant on the mic was doing Diamondback trivia. Him: "How tall is Diamondback?" Me: "230!" Him: "Who built it?" Me: "B&M!" Him: "How many drops are over 100ft?" Me: "6!" Him: "You can't play anymore!"
  18. You might be a Kings Island addict if you have anything Kings Island themed on your vehicle... <----Make note of my avatar.
  19. I wouldn't call Mysteria a "maze" though. It is more of a "scare zone" I think the park should have more scare zones that you have to walk through to get to where you want to go. For example, if they stationed scaractors between beast and Vortex along that path, between beast and ET. In 2001, I went to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa. The Nairobi Train station area was transformed into "Inferno Express" The train itself was not haunted, just the area around the station. You had no choice but to walk through it if you wanted to get to Timbuktu. Kings Island seems to have toned it down since recent years. I would like to go in and design an actual scare zone for Coney Maul. Not the whole area, just about a 50 yard by 50 yard section of it. That is enough to get the blood pumping as people pass through. Can make a more authentic scare as you would not know where the scare would be coming from, unlike a "maze"
  20. Ironically, they sell those Beast emblems at the Diamondback gift shop.
  21. My favorite Haunt at Kings Island is CarnEvil. Not scary, just a lot of things happening. I can go through it several times a night. Second favorite is Psycho Path! My favorite all time haunted attraction is the now retired Escape From Insanity at Busch Gardens Tampa which took over the monorail maintenance building.
  22. Also, you have to factor in the weather. I went Last night (10/7). Rode Diamondback 3 times before the queue got to be full. Remember, when Diamondback's queue is all open and being used, from the entrance to the ride is usually only 45 minutes. (Timed it several times over the last couple years). If the line is out to the buffet doors, it only takes another 5 to 10 minutes.
