  1. Excuse you? No one is complaining, I was pointing it out and wondering "WHY?" Besides, one can CLEARLY see by looking at the horizontal support, that it is wider. I think since B&M is my favorite maker, and having ridden 41 of the 90 in the world, 13 of which are inverted, I would know. Don't argue with me about B&M.
  2. I still would like to know the reason the base of the loop is so far apart. It does not make sense. My first thought was clearance, but that is not the issue. Otherwise all the ther inverted coasters would be wide like that. Even on B&M's most recent inverted coaster, OzIris, the base of the loop is not wide. It is not because of the lift. Other B&M coasters loop around the lift and the are not that far apart. Perhaps Don can answer why the base of the loop is so wide.
  3. Action Theater is a decent sized building. A decent family coaster would fit nicely in there.
  4. Are you effing serious?! You need to wake the heck up and get out of Ohio. Millennium Force may be a longer layout, but Leviathan is everything the Millennium Force wishes it was. The problem with Intamin is they can not do it right. Exhibit A: Shoot the Rapids Exhibit B: I-305 Exhibit C: El Toro
  5. You would think that if they were going to paint it, they would have when they gave it a refirb. Notice all the shiny new restraints this season?
  6. Pardon me, I spelled the darn names wrong. Sheikra, who was totally NOT using the word "darn".
  7. Why are we talking about removing rides anyway? I enjoy all the current rides at the park. Some I can tolerate a few times a season (Vortex), and others I ride often depending on who I am with. A lot of posts I have seen on this forum over the last couple years have claimed that "there isn't enough." "Build more flat rides." "I want this" " I want that" Now you want to remove something? One thing that needs to be gone is the Crypt building. Personally, I would rather they use the building for a "Houdini" type attraction. I got to experience the Houdini ride at SFGAdv earlier this year. There were INFANTS on the ride! There is NO minimum height requirement. It is EXACTLY what KI needs. People complain that there isn't enough thrills for the entire family. Well, here is the answer.
  8. Typically a B&M will have a support for each section of track aside from tops of inversions. Sometimes they skip supports when B&M feels it is not needed. Raptor Afterburn Alpengeist
  9. Having been to the event at Dollywood, I can say that the entire park is open, all rides were open the couple times I visited last December. Yes, the majority of the folks go for the shows, but the remainder are in line for the thrills. I just don't see Kings Island's Winterfest being as big a hit as Dollywood or Busch Gardens. I reiterate my post above. "Before Winterfest returns, I would rather see more overall improvements to the park. 1. Get rid of the Starlight Spectacular. 2. Put international things on International Street. Otherwise it should be renamed "Cincinnati Street" 3. Change the cuisine in the Festhaus to reflect Octoberfest, or rename the Festhaus like BGT did with theres. 4. Add more flats. 5. Get rid of the Crypt building or turn it into a "Houdini" type ride. I would rather they spend money on these things than spending the time and money on an event that may or may not generate a profit." There is too much that needs done to the park before they try to bring back a failed event.
  10. When he gets to 90 and is still riding, then let's talk. Love seeing Miss Thelma riding coasters at 90+

  12. and where were all of you when they brought Winterfest back in 2005?
  13. In which case my vote goes towards any of the restrooms featuring the dyson air blade dryers..much more sanitary (and less costly to the park) than paper towels. Prob the WindSeeker restrooms get my vote since they're the newest. Not newest, just most recently updated.
  14. My thoughts: Drop Tower - Guillotine Invertigo - Flashback SkyFlyer - Demon Drop Congo Falls - Tsunami Delirium - Pandemonium You happy? I changed the names to the correct spelling!
  15. He said "the Banshee logo." It's like "I want to ride the Diamondback roller coaster" vs "I want to ride Diamondback." I was referring to the topic title and the poll options, not the posts that are a little bit before mine. I see.

  17. Here you have someone who has an eye for theme coming from a park where theme is number 1, cleanliness is number 2, and guest safety is number 3. (I joke, but seriously...lol) I think we are going to see more updates in all of the parks overall while he has control of the reigns.
  18. I am not voting as I simply happy about the fact that things are being updated int he park. It is time for a refresh on the suspended coaster formerly known as Top Gun, formerly known as Flight Deck. I am going to make a poll for the favorite restroom in the park.
  19. Look closely at the web cam. It looks like the loop is complete. Could just be the angle though.
  20. I will be going to Busch Gardens Tampa in January, so not all is lost!
  21. I seen the last Ed Alonzo show. The rides will DEFINITELY be there next season. Even though it has been speculated that he may return for haunt, there is no guarantee at this point. Got autographs and a photo with Ed!
  22. Here is the pest pic of that I got yesterday! This is the bottom of the first drop and after the loop shooting back to the field! This is actually the bottom of the dive loop climbing into the vertical loop, not the first drop.
  23. That building is there because Vortex is sinking.
  24. It was an inside joke. Someone said something like "I like Donkeys." Basically it is a shout out to that person. This is what I got with my membership, plus $10 that I paid for the shirt. Plus I received later a ClubTPR window cling for my car: Also was given $10 TPR store credit upon sign up, a potato chip clip/magnet, and a regular refrigerator magnet that I do not have a photo of just yet.
