  1. i have silently been looking through the posts and i must say the photos are amazing. i finally can see what my mom went on about and where old rides are that i never remmber being there.
  2. the ohio state law only pertains to enclosed public places only, since Kings Island is not enclosed then by law they dont have to ban smoking.
  3. I think fastlane is a great idea, but the way they executed it is not similar to any other park ive been to with fastpass/ Fast Lane/q-bot. Kings Island doesnt need the disney style system to make it work effectively. i went to kennywood in pittsburgh and they have what is called the american coaster tour. they only sell the pass to a limited number of guests all day and gives you a riding rotation so that you have a time to be at the ride. they only put a limited number of riders on every half hour and you can only ride the ride once. it looked to work very effeciently for both the people that spent the extra money and those waiting in line.
  4. doug was the nicest, awesomest, most caring person i ever met. i was happy to call him my head supervisor and i feel i have changed for the better because of him. no matter how bad his day was going, he always had a smile on his face and i never heard anything negative about him. he will be missed and the park will not be the same with out him.
  5. most likely will be running the rides. worked it 2 years ago and honestly i have to say you guys throw one hell of a party. its the funnest day at work all year.
  6. they did have a fast pass system for gold pass holders a couple years ago. i can tell you that it frusterated everyone including employees because the gold pass holders still had to wait for some rides and the guests in the regular line complained and the employees had to deal with all the complaints about it from everyone.
  7. as to the comment about the rides not being put through their paces before opening day and the crews being tossed into the situation with little knowlege how the ride physically operates. the ride crews do hours of training before opening day to understand how the rides work. also the rides get alot of cycles on training days. im going to have to say that it was just bad luck that all the rides kept going down.
  8. if the train rolls back the brakes stop it on the launch track and it takes 3 employees to push it back. its not that hard to push once we get it rolling.
